What a little beaut. I'm a great fan of micro layouts and you have encapsulated it in a small working layout so well. Your presentation and filming will I'm in no doubt encourage others to create a micro layout . Amazing how this hobby can uplift your well being in these dark times. Thank you and well done. Stay safe.
That is looking great! Here's a tip...I weathered several open clay wagons and some umweathered clay hoods simply by dusting with white primer from Poundland. Practised first on an old train set wagon. The same technique could be used for ANYTHING that will be in that vicinity, including the land rover. I'm sure you will add a suitable track infill, but raw polyfiller with some slight watered staining brushed over looks just like the outside of a clay dry. Incidentally the great thing with a layout like this is that it would look right with a gwr pannier and open wagons right through to a BR 08 and clay hoods. Even a 37 would be seen with a hood in tow on a line like this up until the late 80s
Ah, paper mache banks. Did the same thing for my N gauge 24 hour layout build challenge. It dried rock hard in only a couple of hours. Nice use of the SMS baseboards. Been thinking about using them myself for an upcoming project (shelved until this whole Corona virus issue has been dealt with). Always good to see another micro layout on the show circuit so fingers crossed I'll see you out with this one soon mate.
A lovely little project, I look forward to seeing its progress. For my taste the sky looks a little too saturated but back scenes have always caused me problems. I have used Rustoleum Chalky Finish Furniture paint Powder Blue for my current layout with Winter Grey dry-brushed on for subtle cloud effect. The doubling up of the dryer building certainly looks better.
Yeah I agree but I'm having to make do with what I have. My local Wicks has a queue going down the street . I 'll hopefully take peoples eyes away from the backdrop when the greenery starts to appear.
Excellent stuff! Funnily enough I have an O gauge micro-layout in my head, and the track plan is identical! So I will be really interested to see some running sessions when you’ve finished it. And you’re using loo paper for scenery? Didn’t you know it’s now £10 per roll??? 🤣
⭐️ only a small amount of space but a whole ton of imagination and dedication 😎.....great result ! ⭐️ 👍

Amazing, an instant layout! I look forward to the next instalment.
Looking fantastic for such a small area
Looks brilliant so far! You're right about having two buildings together, looks much better and more realistic for loading wagons. Keep it up!
A lovely little shunting layout in the making. I don’t think I’ve seen those stores on a layout before, quite unique. Paul
Looks great its amazing what you can fit into a small space.
Its got my brain working overtime.

You are doing a awesome job
Really reminding me of Wenford Clay dries near Bodmin. you need to get hold a beattie well tank, it would go perfectly with this 👍🏼
My dad has one. I'm going to borrow it as soon as I can.
I can't wait to see this when finished
Pas mal du tout ce petit projet !

Nice!!
With the toilet paper I would of soaked it in watered down PVA to make stick together better just like paper mache.
So THATS where all the toilet rolls have been going to 🤣🤣🤣
