Yes, the sweet kind is always thick, the salted kind is not ;) And the Japanese soy sauce is even runnier... all kinds of soy sauces out there, lol ;) Feel better soon!
LOL, well THANK YOU :) It's always nice to reminisce about the good old days. Now listen... if there's one thing I don't do... DOUGH... LOL :) I don't like to mix dough with my hands and so on, so I"m not promising anything as far as roti is concerned, LOL :) I may do the chicken and the potatoes and string beans, but the roti itself... not sure, LOL :) :)
HAHA! I can certainly relate to touching the dough - it took me a while to get over that myself! I just think you would have THE ultimate collection of Surinamese favorites with Roti included, just saying. Either way keep up the awesome job!
You're twisting my arrrrmmmm....!!! Successfully, LOL LOL :) :) :) I'm not one to shy away from a challenge like that, soooooo... stay tuned... LOL :) (Gossshhh, this will be an epic fail, I just know it, LOL LOL!!)
Seeing what you've done and accomplished, I don't see failures at all haha! But - maybe that's also an idea for your channel - a blooper reel? :) Something fun to add because people also want to see the real life side of their favorite personalities you know!
LOOOLLL :) :) Oh believe you me, on my other channel AMARU ONLINE (ua-cam.com/users/amaruonline), there were plenty of blooper reels, people who've been with me since the beginning will tell you ;) I may include some WHEN I make the roti video... that will be something else, lol ;)
Lol, thanks hon ;) But just to let you know I wasn't talking about Japanese people, I was talking about JAVANESE people, from the island of JAVA, as I mentioned on the video, just wanted to clear that up ;) Thanks for stopping by!
Yes!!!! Love the brief history. I have some ketjap in my fridge..hmmm... and man I am hatting on ur pepper !! It's really hard to get that here in Miami.. I have to buy the one that comes already prepackaged and it's not fresh !...
Really? We have family in Miami andthey grow these themselves in their yard. And in fact, if you have a balcony even in an appartment building you can grow peppers... ;) Just throw the seeds on some soil, water them and watch what happens ;)
I didn't know soysauce and peppers was a thing back home. I cooked peppers with soysauce and put it a mug in de frigde for my breakfasts with rice. My father always first awake, tought it was coffee😓 so sad.. Going to make this sambal 😁
Absoluut mi does, zeker weten ;) Niet teveel kentjor erin doen hoor, als je poeder gebruikt, djies un tiki so, paso e ta masha sterk mes! Jij ook fijn weekend :)
I think the only one that would be a problem is the "kentjor" or aromatic ginger... Try your local China Town or tropical supermarkets, Asian supermarkets and such ;)
Oh i love that soya sauce anf i would so love to taste them chivkrn with some of that spicy dauce
It's very easy to make and it also works on BBQ chicken, yummmm ;) ;)
I like the thickness of the soya sauce

Geweldig👍🏼 ik denk dat het ook perfect zal smaken met groene manja of appel😋😋
Ik denk het ook, een soort van (Javaanse) lotes, probeer het en laat me weten :) Dank voor het kijken.
Thank you Amaru you beautiful person you :) Thank you for bringing back some old favorites! Could you please do an episode on Roti as well?

I didn't know soysauce and peppers was a thing back home. I cooked peppers with soysauce and put it a mug in de frigde for my breakfasts with rice. My father always first awake, tought it was coffee😓 so sad..

Masha danki meeessss ;) ;)
Looks good Amaru! The last time I made this I forgot to put the kentjor in it. It was good, but it just wasn't the same.
Thanks love, YESS, the kentjor has to be in it, or else the taste will be off ;) Oh well, next time ;)
Yum ..I wish I could get all this stuff in U.S.A (New York )

Can I get this sauce in America?
I don't live in America, so I wouldn't know.
You can get all the ingredients here, look for sweet soy sauce and Kencur in the Asian markets or online.
