That’s cool that you’re staying in binondo where there are still chunks of filipino history in there, but once you visit these kinds of city like Taguig, BGC, Pasay (Mall Of Asia) and some cities outside Manila, you will realized how divided the rich and mid-rich people.
Downtown Manila is a great choice to stay in. Closer to history you might say. And there's a lot if that interests you. The other "nicer" places will be there to to visit of course, but Manila... well.

I guess you made the right decision flying to the Philippines. Your views from Thailand to Philippines sky rocketed. Congratulation and welcome to the Philippines.
Looks like you guys "hit the ground running" as soon as you touched down in the Philippines. I was smiling when you had a hard time looking for the garden. Open spaces, gardens and parks are things we lack in Metro Manila. Great work, you both!!
Ohh ur video is posted in the morning. I need to get use to this. Its cool how u described greenbelt. Its very detailed n not just walking around aimlessly. 👏👏👏
Thank you for letting me see again my playground. Shoemart (SM), Landmark, and Greenbelt Malls are where my parents brought me to play when I was a toddler/small child. I was sorely disappointed when I saw some of the malls here in the US (East Coast). They're incomplete and not "green" /eco friendly, despite the big square footage. You're exposed to the elements to get to the building where you need to go to. Only to find out that not all the items you need are there. That you have to go out again and be exposed to bad weather to search if a certain store is within the vicinity. But actually, it's not there. Foods halls too I find lacking. I envied you guys finding those cassava cakes and bico (glutinous rice cake cooked in muscovado brown sugar) by just exploring Greenbelt Mall a little bit. Meanwhile, I have to travel 2 hours in a smelly, dirty subway train car here in Manhattan to get to Queens, NY where Filipino ingredients and restaurants are sometimes available, if I'm lucky. I wish someday my fellow Filipinos will appreciate our malls there in the Philippines like Shoemart(SM), Landmark, and Greenbelt because all the great brands (European, American, Asian, Filipino brands) are already there in one interconnected building. Greenbelt is special because of its green oasis. Not all malls all over the world have these kind of luxuries. I know because I traveled worldwide already. Besides, home is where the heart is. I want to add stomach to that famous quote. No matter how expensive or flashy other cuisines are, the flavors of home will still be # 1 to one's taste buds.
Just saw your vlog in Thailand about moving to the Philippines. Im a filipino living in the US for years now coz of my career. At first, i dont like foreign vloggers going to the country and do a lot of click baiting. But your vlog made me realize of your honest reason why u want to move...i appreciate that. My advise to u as a former tourism mgt teacher in a good university in the Philippines is to respect our people and our culture first. Then filipinos will continue to support and accept u more. Be unique also like doing something different in making ur vloggs and go to places where other foreign vloggers haven't been to yet....ENJOY the country (that i missed so much) with your girlfriend.
7:27 As you were walking along this area at your left side there's a restaurant called "Blackbird", it was once called "Nielson Tower" or "Manila International Air Terminal" back during the day. 6:46 Ayala Avenue, where you crossed the underpass, was once a runway. 👍❤💯🇵🇭
Very down to earth couple.... still ridding the jeepney instead of ridding a grab back at the hotel... its what i like in you guys.... Greenbelt malls are my favorite malls in manila... it's maybe because i grew up going to it and familiar of the place by heart... but there are much more beautiful malls to explore in manila the biggest and most bizarre shopping places you could ever imagine... I know you will also explore mall of Asia and Venice grand canal mall and much more... just glad to know you are enjoying the Philippines so far... have more fun and take care always... ¡hasta pronto!
This type of content is what I like to see, refreshing. When you rode the jeepney at the end of the video, I was like - that's how to finish it with a bang😸.. I'm sure your eyes had not evaded residential districts. If you're looking for a place to watch the sunset, then head over to Manila Bay which is famous for its spectacular display of the sun setting. You can also hop on the MOA Eye to see a 360 degree view of its surroundings. It is smack dab on the SM Mall Of Asia (MOA) promenade where the Bay Area Amusement Park is also located. If you come at night on a weekend, you may just catch the pyromusical fireworks display.

The thought and effort you put into your videos are a breath of fresh air and unlike the generic same old, same old videos of the foreign vloggers in the Philippines. For that reaaon alone, you deserve the love and support of coming your way from the filipino people.
Hahaha... 10k plus new subscribers just 2 days in manila.... Lezzz goooo mergim.... Road to 20k
Great video, i'm amazed seeing you two ride a 🇵🇭jeepney, I'm Filipino but I hadn't got to that place like the mall and the park because I'm in the Visayas region. But thanks to your video, it's as if I am in that specific place. Thanks for exploring different places in our country. Be safe and goodluck to your next vlog, looking forward for it again. 🇵🇭❣️👍🥰
Yes, really love them strolling around and riding a jeepney.
Delicious Filipino food. Looking forward to more videos.
It's good to support foreign expats in our country and we welcome you here. But please don't forget to help and support our very own Filipino local vblogers. Tangkilin ang sariling atin.
Thank you for sharing this video. And for appreciating the Philippines. For that sending full pack support with love. God bless......
Loved how your companion sliced the cake using the cardboard. Genius! I would have done it that way myself too if I desperately need cutlery.
If you're lost in the Philippines, just ask for directions. People will most likely be able to converse with you in English, even in remote areas, and point you to the right direction.
Another amazing vlog. There’s still a lot of unique malls around the area that as amazing or even better than Greenbelt. I love your vlogs. Keep it up. ❤️🌈⛱🌴🏄♀️🌞
Wowww!!!!.. Can't believe that Makati is so beautiful now. I used to work in Makati before during my first job after graduating from College... your video brought back a lot of beautiful memories... thanks for featuring Makati.... appreciated it a lot!!!
Love that you use jeepnies as your mode of transportation! Not that comfy but a good practical way to move through the city. Try the metro next time (but not during busy hours!). :)
Im binge watching your Philippine videos. Your videos are high quality and very informative, you really do research and narrate them in each of your video. Pretty impressive for someone who is new to the country, but already lecturing even the local viewers about the locations.😁 Great stuff.
i love your vlogs sir, so raw and the cinematography is great ,
More Subs to come sir .🇵🇭 support your channel so much
Thank you for the massive compliment, your support means the world to me and I’m very grateful that you watching the videos :)
@@MergimVlogsYT there's a lot like this sir Hope you can visit
BGC on you hit list
TAGUIG Venice Mall or Mackinley Hills
ASEAN CITY PASAY
MOA (MALL OF ASIA) and the sunset near Manila Bay with Artificial Sand called Dolomite Beach
Eastwood City QUEZON CITY and the INTRAMUROS old Spanish City wall hope it will be 20mins.
I missed Philippines.. thanks for sharing host.. Loved your videos.. very informative and editing skills superb
Fun fact: The biggest IKEA store in the world is located in Manila. Hopefully you can give us a tour when you happen to go in the Manila Bay area.
Killing it, keep up the momentum! It’s about time you got the love you deserve for your efforts into the vlogs 🙌🏼👏🏼 soon come 100k ASAP! 💪🏼
Makati is the old financial center, and BGC is the new financial center where the Philippine stock exchange is located. Yes, a lot of our high-end malls are themed or concept-oriented, unique as you said: Greenbelt Malls have a jungle in the middle, Venice Grand Canal Mall is an Italy inspired one, High Street Mall in BGC is an outdoor mall type similar to those in the US, SM Aura has futuristic shaped building, SM Megamall which is a hybrid mall and a fashion runway event-ready, etc. Also, may I request an Ayala Avenue tour there in Makati (that's our old NY Wall Street), I want your reaction. Thanks! Keep it up!
If I’m not mistaken the word high street is more like U.K. than American
@@johnnygwapo.Lapu-Lapu Yes bro, PH is somehow advanced in terms of conceptual urban development on a per cluster basis... Check out those upcoming ultra-modern mega townships to come along Manila Bay (32 townships as planned from Bulacan coastal up to Cavite Sangley area) and in other parts of the country like the ongoing San Miguel Aeropolis (Ultra Modern Airport with minimal human intervention similar to the newly opened Clark International Airport system in Clark Pampanga with integrated Mega-City within the 2,500K hectares artificial island to be operational by 2025). Then near to that a simultaneously under reclamation one, the Navotas Coastal Bay Development (R&D + Techno hub innovation ecozone patterned after the Silicon Valley in California). Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/t2b544X1lNU/v-deo.html
@@johnnygwapo.Lapu-Lapu Palafox is one of the current examples who once did the urban planning in some parts of Dubai. Luckily he designed San Miguel AeroCity.
this is your 4th video that i watched tonight. your vlogging style is addictive to watch. thanks.
I can see that you're getting quite an enthusiastic, increasingfollowing among Filipinos. Well deserved! Perhaps you might consider a longer stay in the country before returning to Thailand, say at least two to three months. There is sooo... much more of the county to see and Manila, fascinating entry point that it is, can only lightly hint at the beauty and unique culture to be found in the many other islands. Congratulations on your ever increasing number of subscribers!!! It's about time. You deserve it. All best . . .
I would love to stay here as long as I can but am I not strictly limited by the 30 days policy
I believe that's renewable but don't take my word for it. 🙂
as far iknow, you can ask for extention to imigration.
@@MergimVlogsYT You can extend it. It's fairly easy also.
@@MergimVlogsYT foreigners can extend the 30 days policy as tourists but you have to pay a certain fee and is allowed to extend it for months until you reach the 3yrs. max..
Again, picturesque style of vlogging. So informative and entertaining! More content daily please and stay longer in the Philippines. 20k subs is so near!
We’re really close and I’m glad you liked it :)
That’s cool that you’re staying in binondo where there are still chunks of filipino history in there, but once you visit these kinds of city like Taguig, BGC, Pasay (Mall Of Asia) and some cities outside Manila, you will realized how divided the rich and mid-rich people.
I know what you mean
Downtown Manila is a great choice to stay in. Closer to history you might say. And there's a lot if that interests you. The other "nicer" places will be there to to visit of course, but Manila... well.
@@MergimVlogsYT as I told you that you’re subscriber will skyrocketing when start to vlog about Philippines 😊. See just a few days and getting more subscriber😊 and whats nore amazing is that Filipinos are interacting with you right? . Well God bless and enjoy the Philippines and hope you will visit again. 😊

I found myself looking forward for your videos everyday since i first saw your video about why vloggers leave thailand for philippines. Congratulations for having loads of subscribers and viewers in just a short time, but i Hope you sincerely enjoy Philippines as well. Have a good time man! Ill be waiting for your next video!
Very nice content, it is like we are watching a Travel Show in a TV channel. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for your detailed explanation you incorporate in your vblogs and showcasing the places you're into. Continue doing that, giving a bit of a background for future travelers.
kudos' boss! u make better videos than most foreign youtubers here in the PH, we appreciate it that you add some side notes of the history of each place you visit 😊 keep it up!
Metro Manila is urbanized and continues to develop. The business districts are just scattered all over the cities. But you can still see the history of Metro Manila in there
I guess you made the right decision flying to the Philippines. Your views from Thailand to Philippines sky rocketed. Congratulation and welcome to the Philippines.
*Big Hugging all Filipinos from Russia. Mabuhay!* < 3
Thanks for this vedio Mergim, we really miss our country, good luck to your Philippines vlogging ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Looks like you guys "hit the ground running" as soon as you touched down in the Philippines. I was smiling when you had a hard time looking for the garden. Open spaces, gardens and parks are things we lack in Metro Manila. Great work, you both!!
and the main reason why people flock inside Malls
Yeah we preferred malls bc it's airconditioned. Lol 😂😂
If you want open spaces or garden, go to BGC.
Mabuhay welcome to the Philippines thanks for sharing our wonderful country
Ohh ur video is posted in the morning. I need to get use to this.
Its cool how u described greenbelt. Its very detailed n not just walking around aimlessly. 👏👏👏
I need to get used to it myself hahaha
Thanks for supporting and commenting, it’s much appreciated :)
@@MergimVlogsYT u can post in the afternoon or night. We r not un a hurry 😁 relax.
My new favorite.. I love all the video here.. Im always excited for the new one.. Hope twice a day you upload. Thanks❤️❤️❤️
Been waiting for your next vlog. Thanks for visiting and enjoying your stay in my home country. Now i already wanting to come home… from 🇦🇺🇵🇭
Yeah it's a luxury stroll... I like the garden of greenbelt and Ayala triangle gardens also..
Nice vlog! We support ur channel bro!💯👍🔥
No skipping ads for u mate 👍😁
I’m suddenly homesick. 😢 I need to go back to Philippines soon!
I like the quality of your videos and not too shaky--i appreciate that.
Enjoy!👍
Wow very interesting though and indeed a beautiful place Makati City. Enjoy your stay in the Philippines.
Yeah it’s a really nice place full of gardens and beautiful roads :)
GOOD LUCK AND THANK YOU FOR VISITING OUR COUNTRY. WATCHING FROM CANADA
This type of content is what I like to see, refreshing. When you rode the jeepney at the end of the video, I was like - that's how to finish it with a bang😸.. I'm sure your eyes had not evaded residential districts. One month might not be enough for some but your intention is not to prolong this travel, I'm sure by the end of your trip you might consider returning😊
It certainly was a way to end the video ;)
1 month for sure is not enough, I need to set up my HQ here :)
Just enjoyed and the scenery of the Philippines specially in the beach.
I just love the quality of your videos! I just subscribed awhile ago and I'm so happy to know that Filipinos have been supporting your channel. You've literally awakened them and I'm pretty sure your channel will continue to grow! Pls keep up the great content! ❤
Thank you for the awesome comment, I hope to make as much content as possible to do you guys proud :)
Bro, I just saw your video about foreign bloggers in Thailand flocking to the Philippines and Vietnam. Finally, your videos are rocking with views and comments that you deserve.
aha! booming channel, Quality vlog
Thanks a lot bud :)
Enjoying your videos. Thank you for visiting the Philippines.
If only people appreciated more the amount of effort mergim put in his every vlog
I can't believe you are working alone, it feels you are working in a TV station with crew with such a very well detailed content.
Great Vids. I'm excited to travel the Philippines with you guys. Looking forward to see your take of the Philippines. Stay safe and well.
Mabuhay and Many thanks for watching, I hope you’ll enjoy the experience that we share with you :)
Loved the way you pronounced Makati. Hehehe. Maka-Ti. Which means "itchy" in Tagalog. It should be Ma-Ka-Ti. Stress on each syllable. Anyways, its cute! Welcome again, brother.
I like how you edit your videos, very clean and you can really tell that you spend a good amount of time making it so worth it for us to watch. I"m one of your many new subscribers here in the Philippines. Hope you and your girlfriend are having a great time exploring our culture more.

Yow mergin ur already at 16k+ subs... Haha I started watching ur vids the time u mentioned why content creators are going to the PH. U only had 6500+ subs that time.. anyway nice vid specially the one from yesterday where as u included the history and culture of binondo I hope that you will do that to the next places that ur going . Keep it up bro I'm cheering for u..
Thanks dude, it can be very difficult to fit it in especially with daily upload deadline but I’ll try my best :)
First and foremost, don't burn out! Do what is humanly possible for you. Although your avid subscribers will always expect more, your health and peace of mind should be top priority. Happy that you concentrate first in the Metro Manila first before going to the islands and mountains. Many travel vloggers immediately go to the islands and did not explore the metro. Keep it up.
Cool and detailed vlogging.Well done
Makati used to be an airport. And, if I'm not mistaken, that first rice cake you ate was a cassava cake. Those two would be great with a cup of ☕.
Only the portion of Ayala Ave
I usually watch vlogs in 480p quality on phone but with your effort im playing it at 1080p cause the quality is top tier 😘👌
I like the type of narration before going to the actual sites. nice video. good job and keep up the good work.
Wow! riding a jeepney with just a few days of stay in Manila. You impress me with how you move around like a local, not so picky, not feeling so entitled. Anything goes, just enjoying what you are doing 😊
True I am also impressed with them! Because other travel vloggers never use jeepney
@@user-yv1qw6lq4o there's a lot forieg vloggers riding jeepney that's there hit list to ride jeepney 😀
Hello there thanks for promoting our country. Keep safe👍✌️😍🙏🙏🙏
06:39 the reason why this is clean is because Ayala, a massive corporation , is the one maintaining the underpass and the streets you have been to so far. Not the govt. (Pinoys, correct me if I am wrong.)
It is not just ayala, it is the entity called Makati Commercial Estate Association (MACEA) in close contact or coordination with the LGU.
😂 you cracked me up when you wrote Pinoys 😂 so true! No discipline…throwing trash everywhere!
