- Continuing our Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Beginner's Guide series, we are taking a look at the field support engineers: Each in-game faction has their own counterpart of an engineer. The Allies have Allied Engineer that can expand into a first-aid tent to heal nearby infantry units; Soviet Combat Engineer is able to build up a Battle Bunker that you can garrison infantries in; Empire of Rising Sun's Imperial Engineer is able to sprint for a period of time.
In addition, we'll also cover engineer tech / tricks you can use to capture enemy structures or even their MCV's. Combo Engineers with transports and you have a game changer! We're also talking about tech buildings & neutral structures (such as Oil Derrecks) in RA3, so make sure to check out that part of the video!
Stay tuned as we go through the basic information, functions, unit interactions, and tips & tricks of each individual unit in the game and discuss the tactics / strategies you can pull off with them.
The Garage repair capability demonstration is from this video: • Happy vs Vindies - All...

Allied Engineer: I can heal wounded soldier.
Combat Engineer: I can build bunker & kill people.
Imperial Engineer: 👀 I know how to run & get tired after.
You forgot to mention another thing:
Same as refinery with timing - You can do same with Airbase/Airfield and get free air units Who were Inside those building in the moment of capturing
Honestly, as an engineering student I don't know why I have to study calculus if my job will simply be to capture enemy buildings...
you need to properly calculate your pathing when the commander issues a move order.
You need to calculate for vectors
Me who failed Integral Calculus and have to retake it this academic year's 2nd semester:
I myself, found the Soviet Combat Engineer to be the best of the 3.
Allied Engineers with their medical ability are great. Paired with Peacekeepers and Javelins, they can really wreck house. And of course, paired with IFV, they are really good, not only for Vehicle healing, but also for quick transport caps.
But the Soviet Engineer's Battle Bunkers basically make the standard Lvl1 Base Defense obsolete. Because you can place them anywhere (except on water), and instead of just being "anti-infantry" it can cover more by putting in some Conscripts and Flak Troopers. Heck, you can even throw a Tesla Troop to cover anti-tank defense for bunkers placed near Oil Derricks or Refineries. Their self defense Revolver however, is really only handy for stopping other Engineers, and maybe a lone attack dog? Doesn't do much against anything else.
As for the Empire's Engineer. Lord, that is pitiful. The sprint ability barely comes into play, aside from last second dashes to a tech building. If you don't make it, they get stuck for so long, they might as well be dead. Seriously, why couldn't they have given this guy some kind of placeable defensive shield for temporary protection against enemies?
I mean he's a nerd and the Empire has high tech soooo....
well if you garrison the engineer inside a building he can single handedly fend off basic infantry.
they can defeat constript in a gun battle
It'll be pretty funny to see somebody playing with mass soviet enginers...
i find it stupidly funny that the imperial engineer waves at the personnel of the building he captures
"The engineer is engiher-" *BANG!*
"I am like cowboy!"
Imperial Engineer
Typical Nerd
Allied Engineer
Friendly Texas guy
Combat Engineer
Heavy smoker and drinker who seen a lot of war horror
just regular Russian
russian engineer: " i was once a professor"
Engineer gaming
@@MrBlack75922 Allied Engineer is TF2 engineer but slighty less badass, more sane instead
No, Allied engineer is also a typical nerd - just typical of the west.

Your guides are awesome!
Thanks!
Your video make our skills grow significantly on that very beloved old game! please make more videos about it! Subscribed! ;)
midrissh 17 hey thanks!
All these unit guides are super informative and really cool to watch. Great job man, I loved this game back then so seeing these is super fun.
Also one more thing about the Soviet bunkers: Peacekeepers and Imperial Warriors cannot barge into it, and must destroy it with their guns. Outside of soviet mirrors, seeing a bunker can be an issue.
am i the only one who noticed that in the portrait, the japanese engineer has 6 fingers in his right hand?
Well, they are Office workers. More fingers, faster paper work.
6 fingers? And has the ability to faster away from his enemy?
I smell JoJo.
Wat
It's not surprising. Asians are superhuman in some way

Love ur videos!! Keep up the good work!
Uh... Forgot about the function of the Airport...
Basically a Hospital/Dry Dock/Garage... for aircraft...
Note: Combat Engineer have revolver, not shotgun.
Empire needs better low cost infantry, shinobi too expensive, engineer outclassed, tank busters nor imperial warriors can even touch aircraft. They should at least have a 5% chance to shoot down a helicopter, even if the accuracy is very very low
Or add the archer maiden like every mod ever does.
i think you mean revolver, not "shot gun" (cuz he said cowboy)
I like ra2 and 3 because its building capture mechanics...
It will be great if starcraft had engineers...
Man it's too bad Engineer in RA3 can repair Garrison structure, because those structure was useful cover for our Infantry again'ts enemy fire
Well that was also the case in Tiberium Wars...
Funny, the Soviet Combat Engineer i know costs 175, and can be upgraded with a flamethrower for 60 munitions.
How to capture an enemy Mcv? The keep packing it when I send my engineer near it!
If you are fighting a Brutal AI, just Natasha snipe or capture a War Factory instead
yeah brutal ai will always sell or pack up their structures. can be abused to do some real damage with just a single engineer.
combat engieener is best
Can anyone tell me what this map is?
Bt they can repair garissons in ra2
Engineer is credit to-
Oh wait...
Allied engi can survive a nuke.. impressive
Just kidding, not impressed at all, it's an ALLIED engineer, after all, shoked that he didn't send that nuke back
Annoyed you can't waypoint engineers like you can in Kane's Wrath. You can waypoint them into an apc/hammerhead/rek and then to the spike/building and when you kick them out they go the the building they were waypointed too. very convenient
It was a poor game no one play it anymore
Actually, there's still and a lot
You : bad game, no one play
Entire fanbase, modders and tournament player : ya blind mate?
