The interviewer, Richard Lorenzo, had shown himself to be an arrogant interviewer. He appeared to have prepared his questions, not to listen to the answer, but in hopes of hearing John trip and made mistake. This spit-fire, gotcha type of interview is the style used in politics nowadays. Richard shows himself to be coming from a platform of holier than thou level, coming down to a lowly Adventist pastor.
Richard’s style of probing appears as him not treating John as a brother in Christ, but someone who, he hopes, who stumbled, and shown to be different from Richard’s line of Christianity. Richard controlled the discussion as he is the one holding the microphone and the flow of conversation was dominated by him. Ironically, Richard’s approach reminds me of the Pharisees and scribes from the time of Jesus with his probing, attacks. His questions sounded more like attacks, not genuine or honest questions. John’s answers were based on solid biblical teachings. However, Richard’s lack of patience in hearing John’s careful, measured answers was very off putting. Richard’s lack of desire to hear John’s full answer is very disrespectful, especially when talking to someone who is a lot older. How can a Christian lose such civility or common courtesy? You can prophesy, you can spit out verses, you can heal, you can cast out demons….. but if you have no love, kindness, courtesy then it’s no Christianity.
Exactly, he was holding the mic so he controlled it as he felt right but I pray God opens his eyes and he repents trying to trick or overpower this man. Smh
God will reveal the truth very soon because I'm not in any church but idt the Adventist church is a cult or into legalism. This older pastor is on the right path n he is following the whole law n dóes it out of love n not to be saved but this younger pastor thinks he is trying to misplace his words.

If you continue reading that passage in Peter saying God made all things clean you can see that his vision was not literally about unclean foods becoming clean. Peter did not understand his vision at first which is why he said "No I cannot do that. I would never eat anything unclean." (Also side note, all unclean animals are parasitic eating animals that give us diseases, parasites, pathogens, etc. It was instructions for God's people to keep them safe.) But anyway, if anyone is interested in learning more about this passage, first, continue reading chapter 10 because further along in verses 24-29 Peter explains the revelation of the vision he was given. He explains to Cornelius that he was not to call anything God had made clean, unclean. Not that God made unclean foods clean. The issue was the argument amongst the Jews who some believed that the gospel was only for them and they considered the gentiles to be "unclean". Peter had been influenced by this group of Jews but God wanted to use Peter's life to spread the gospel so He brought correction to him via a vision and used unclean animals as a reference to how they viewed "unclean" people but God was saying, no Peter. Anyone who repents and accepts Christ is more made clean. They have a right to salvation and being made new so stop treating them like they are lesser than. Anyway, if anyone is interested in more just Google "David Wilbur Peter's vision" to see a break down of this passage in context. God bless you brother! Thank you for being so kind to this other brother even though you disagreed about some things. Oh, also Julius Caesar added months but the days of the week never went out of order. So if it was Tuesday June 5th and then the additional months were added, the next day was Wednesday, July 1st. I cannot remember the exact dates but the days of the week never got out of order. Also, if you do some further research you see the Roman Catholic Church claims to have the authority to change the Sabbath day to Sunday but they even said they didn't know why evangelical Christians moved their Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. Anyway, lots of history has been covered because Satan is the master of chaos and confusion and he wants to cause such great deception that we think we're doing what's right and are event unintentionally wrong. We all need to just continue to pray for discernment from the Holy Spirit and remain in peaceful unity with all who make Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, their master and strive to walk in obedience to the things Yahweh reveals to us as His Truth. “These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.”
Thus we clearly see that the Verses from which you quote found in Mark AREN’T Talking about unclean meats, but instead they Speak about eating with UNWASHED HANDS!
Every Verse that Richard quotes from regarding unclean meats, as well as all other topics he touches upon in this video, are completely taken OUT of context in order to TRY and prove a PRETEXT!!!

It seems minor to some, but when you look at it overall, they remove the works of God. Christ established a church, and the Holy Spirit has been guiding that church. @@jackdaniels5489 How many Adventists have you spoken with? Im sure there are many who would not know how to answer this text biblically just as there would be for any belief system. However let me encourage you to investigate this verse considering another perspective.
1. The context of this verse shows us that we are discussing "shadows of the real and the real is Jesus". So we need to look for those things that are types to the antitype that Jesus was. This means they are basically a lesser version or example of the real, kind of like a shadow is to a real object.
2. Did Sabbath act as a shadow of Jesus? Did it point forward to him? No. the Sabbath is a memorial of creation which was established before sin entered the world and thus could not point forward to a savior for which there was not yet even a need.
3. After sin entered the world the sacrificial system was set up by God to point forward to Jesus, this is the first shadow or type of Jesus the real or antitype.
4. Col is written by Paul. Paul was extremely knowledgeable about "scripture" which for him was the Old Testament. When he makes a list of things that looks very much like lists made in the Old Testament it is reasonable to think that he is quoting or paraphrasing something from "scripture". So when we find similar lists (Food, Drink, Festival, New Moons, sabbaths) in the "scripture" take a look at the things that are being discussed. It is referring to ceremonial things that point to Jesus as shadows. (Numbers 29:6, 1 Chron 23:31, 2 Chron 2:4, 2 Chron 8:13, Leviticus 23)
5. Some translations say Sabbath, some say sabbaths. Even notice that some are capitalized and some are not. why would that be?
6. Further examination of the list comparing the ceremonial practices of the old testament is revealing as well. We see several kinds of feast. we see grain offerings (food), we see drink offerings (drink), Many festivals (festivals), New Moon feasts (New Moons), and then you have several feast that are called "sabbaths" (sabbaths).
7. This text is discussing ceremonial laws which were directly pointing forward to Jesus eventual sacrifice. We no longer need to participate in these things as they pointed forward to Jesus death and resurrection, now we have baptism, communion to do "IN REMEMBERANCE OF ME". now that we have the real thing there is no need for the shadows that pointed to him, rather we need to remember him.
8. The Seventh day Sabbath is never in consideration in this text.
This is my humble opinion formed from honest study, but these are complicated topics. I urge you to do research on your own and test anyone's teachings especially mine. Spiritual things are spiritually discerned. Ask for the Holy Spirit to guide you in your study.

God made covenant only with Jewish nation,only. Moses could not speak for the entire world because they did not know what was going on there and plus they used pagans idols and Jews did not. what is wrong with her sister? I was one at 3 until 7. My Mother left Catholic Church because of idolatry and no BIBLE. My Dad was Baptist. They had to agree. So.. I went to Saturday school. They were so kind! I was so young! I remember being taught not to eat meat and I just didn’t want me anymore! So this day I’m 47 years old, and I have had very good health, and I will be innocent. I fell away, and they made wrong choices when I was young. my parents had left the church when I was seven. I don’t know if it was because the babysitter had shown his penis to me when I was six and I told them and they lost faith. But, I do remember my parents jumping into a tub of water I think they were naked and I was with everyone and we watched and everyone clapped they were happy. What is this being reborn? I’ll never forget the striped towels. Also, we had to sing in front of the adult audience. You know the song Jesus loves me this I know? Well, there was a girl to my left, and she had the microphone and she was able to sing it I remember thinking why is she getting to be able to sing, because in kindergarten, I had some a song and I was told I had a beautiful voice by my friends mom. So I grab the microphone and aegis he took the Microway and started singing the song myself and looking back. All of the adults were laughing at isn’t that just symbolical of the devil? Siri? We really were born of sin, but, it is funny because it’s just the nature that we have and as children we need to be taught what’s right and wrong. But then again year or two before that I was in nursery school! You know how they tell you to share on Sesame Street? They teach you values and morals on that program or at least they did back then. It was coloring time and one of the girls on the round table next to me tried to grab the crayon that I was using because she wanted to use that color as well. So I snapped the crayon in half. I got yelled at by the teacher and then I got in trouble with my mom and then when I explained it to my mom, she said oh I understand honey. That was nice of you. Just don’t do it again though you don’t want to get yelled at, so they left the church as to maybe that’s the reason why as I read explained before and the entire church came up the driveway and had a band playing a lady came to the front door and had some of the loaf of bread and said, please come back, and my mother didn’t come back life have been hell since then another turn to marijuana and they were problems with my brothers attention span. My father‘s mom and dad died in a month then the cat was ran over and it was split into pieces I got into drugs my brother was into drugs. He was younger, I ended up with abusive people and so I still to this day didn’t I didn’t eat meat though you know? I won’t need anything with the face. So with that being said, I want to give you that a little bit amount of information I think that might be what you’re referring to or she’s referring to about her sister she doesn’t have to worry because I think something was instilled in us like we remember when we were children how there is a different side of humanity, and these were the nicest people! Sure they were a lot of nice people when I was a kid. They also mean teachers! But every Sundays cause I mean Saturday school it was something I didn’t hate going to actually look forward to it! I think I’m going to go back I’m good I have to go back is my original religion

Not sure about that. It appears to me that Richards did his research on Sda from anti Sda sources, calls the pastor brother, then does what he can to bait him. That’s not what I would call brotherly. If he really cared about the pastor, he would be trying to understand why the older pastor believes what he believes instead of trying to get the pastor to say something that would expose some heresy. Not cool.
What a humble pastor, when challenged he was reasonable and calm but such ashame he refuses healing 😢

Thanks for posting this. Keep the sabbath holy is the 4th commandment that’s separate than the laws of Moses. There are biblical exceptions for the sabbath like healing and doing good ect. The 10 commandments are still valid even though we aren’t excepted to keep all the levitical laws.

Abba Jesus taught me about the Sabbath, it's a beautiful time for the anointing to fall heavy! Even as He is our eternal rest Creator God YHWH and Savior! All kinds of things from revelations, to trips to Him showing up during worship! Its just an all HIM day but it is not unto a day but unto Him. I worship every day too!
The days of the calendar have been changed, but the days of the weekly cycle have never changed. So the day after a monday has never skipped to a Wednesday for example. So the 7th day is still the 7th day and God said to keep it holy.

The very fact that a man believes in the Sabbath even though Jesus fulfilled the law tells you that he does not want to see the truth, Pastor Rich gave him the truth (more precisely, God) and one day when he stands before him he will not be able to say "I didn't know"!

When people won't let you pray for them I begin to question weather they have a deep personal relationship with their church or with God . He may be telling you that his religious beliefs are where he places his Faith and not the Blood of Jesus. Is he following Ellen G. White or the Holy Spirit because it seems that Advents are under the Law and not under Grace .

when Jesus was walking on the earth He was still under the 613 laws of the OT and Luke 4:16, He is abiding under those laws to keep the Sabbath, BUT when He died, so did the old law die with Him and we are given “…the law of Christ” (Gal. 6:2) everything else i said can be found in (Gal. 6:14-15 Col. 2:1-23 John 4:24 Rom. 8:1-4)

Nah I don’t agree at all, he did a mighty fine job actually composing himself. When you know the word very intimately. It’s very difficult to have a conversation with someone who doesn’t know it intimately, because our natural minds just want to correct everything they are saying. EVEN THEN, he held his composure. I know I would’ve been worse. BIGGEST UPS to Lorenzo man of God. It’s not easy to ADAPT.

I will pray for your father. I was raised as a Seventh-day Adventist. And my family fell away when I was seven and addiction set in, it’s just it was complete chaos. They were so nice. I haven’t eat me a long time let’s season of a really ever eaten meat. Maybe I was really hungry once or twice because I have basically, I fell away I fell away, but I never once didn’t believe in Jesus Christ even if I was in sin, I would never deny him either because I know there’s a reason why things are so terrible and he is coming back especially during these and times, so yes, I will pray for your father and I would like it if you pray for mine because now he’s with another woman after my mother had died when I was 25. She is new age pink here 73 years old, and believes in reincarnation, and all that Buddhist stuff, yoga, and all that type stuff! And she has excommunicated me and my younger brother and there’s never any family gatherings anymore and this is going on for about nine years. Oh my Lord, we all need to pray for each other.
Every denomination is wicked. I’m non denominational… praise be to the Lord. But I do believe that the seventh day IS SATURDAY. Day of Atonement, Passover Day, Sabbath Day (Saturday)… etc I worship God’s Holy days. Christmas is not a celebration nor the birth of Jesus Christ, it was a pagan holiday for giving people gifts (sacrifices).

A few ways of how to observe the Sabbath....
The Sabbath is the day the Lord make to rest from all of our labor, is a day to be in awe of God's creation and worship Him as our creator, seek His presence and worship not like the rest of the week, but really resting in Him.
So one way is to help others like Jesus did, either by testifying, praying, or fulfilling their physical needs.
Another way is to be in nature contemplating His work, meditating in the work of His hands, get a closer moment with Him.
Another way is the basic way and is going to the house of prayer and listen to what He got to say, reflect and put it into practice.
Also it's very important that day there are not buying of anything anywhere and it's because it's a rest from what the world imposed as normal. Really resting of what we do during the week.
All of these Jesus did in the Sabbath because he also kept it. It is so interesting that when God took the Israelites out of Egypt and He fed them with Manna they had to get double portion on Friday because the Sabbath there was nothing falling, nothing to get.
This doesn't mean that we don't have a relationship with Him the rest of the week, they are not mutually exclusive, but is a day that we enjoy because we rest from all of our works and rest in Jesus.

When I heard the reasoning for the food question about Peter the vision didn't had to do anything with food per se. But for your curiosity the idea of the food it's not a salvational issue but it is for a better quality of life, which God is very interested on. Like the sda pastor said since the beginning God created us to be vegan, but after sin everything got corrupted you can see that in Genesis, even the plants changed. So God allowed us to eat meat, but in Leviticus 11 there are a difference in animals, clean and unclean because some of them God created to literally be cleaners of others poop and stuff. So, He mentioned which ones we can eat. We do what we want and eat what we want but it's proven time after time that those unclean animals are super unhealthy and it's giving us cancer and heart attacks, and other illnesses. Try a whole plant diet and you'll see how energetic you will feel.
All of the commandmends are for our benefit we shouldn't see it as a rule but as a letter of love from our loving and caring Father.

I have felt the Holy Spirit my entire life & I didn’t realize it until my sudden conversion at the age of 27. His presence was just way stronger because I was at my lowest point. Pastor Richard was insisting that if you are keeping the Sabbath, you have to keep it like the Pharisees. Christians should follow the example Jesus set. Jesus freed the Sabbath of the rigorous traditions of the Pharisees. When God was talking about things being made clean to peter he was talking about there not being a difference in Jew and gentile. Saying the gentiles aren’t unpure that God has received. Peter even says this was the meaning of that vision. We shouldn’t be overly religious but the lord called certain foods pure and unclean because of scientific principles.

Gods number is 7. I go to SDA church and I love it! I take classes at a Pentecostal Ministry School. I believe that the food is made clean when we pray over it. I also believe that Jesus says In Matthew the Jesus did not come to change the Law of Moses but to fulfill it. Keeping the Sabbath is in the 10 commandments. I know it can be confusing for people both in and out of church. I’m so glad you’ve been healed and saved! Romans 8:28 I was raised Catholic and became born again! Catholic Church planted the seed of faith and I’m blessed for that. Tho I’ve been even more blessed church hopping in basic and tech school! Praise God and thank you both of my veteran brothers for your service to this country especially for His kingdom!!

The very fact that a man believes in the Sabbath even though Jesus fulfilled the law tells you that he does not want to see the truth, Pastor Rich gave him the truth (more precisely, God) and one day when he stands before Him he will not be able to say "I didn't know"!

Acts 10, the passage you're quoting, actually proves that Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy stand true post-resurrection. Peter had the certainty to tell God that he would not do what God was commanding, to eat unclean animals. Three times, he told God no and that he has never eaten anything unclean. This is massive, because he walked with Messiah, and knew him post-resurrection. This is proof that no apostles ate unclean after Messiah ascended.
In fact, Peter explains EXACTLY what his vision meant in Acts 11. Check it out.
To the point: Messiah kept the Law of Moses and taught his followers to do the same. In fact, they are the Ways and revealed image of God: Joshua 22:5. Messiah is the Word, the Law (spoken instructions and image of God) in the flesh. If we truly follow Messiah, we accept the free gift of salvation and we keep the Law of Moses just as he did. Lest we hear him say, "I never knew you, depart from me, you workers of... lawlessness."
In 1 John it's clear: "sin is lawlessness".

Why did Jesus show Peter a vision of unclean animals and to eat them? He showed Peter this to make his point that gentiles are now clean but what made gentiles unclean in the first place ? …. It was specific foodsthat made gentiles unclean so Jews couldnt enter their house or touch anything a gentile touched. So God made all foods clean so that gentiles were no longer unclean. Thus why God gave a vision of unclean animals and told Peter to eat. No only that there is multiple scriptures on related to food on the NT just look them up.
