I really like Springbok! Fun images, and I love the secure fit of the pieces, kind of springy. Lol. I like all of the different piece cuts. Random cut can be wonky but can make some pieces easy to find. As long as there aren’t false fits I’m good.
Puzzle bestie-thank you for stopping by !!!! Yes, I notice the springiness, too. Lol, my cat seems to like the pieces as well. He keeps trying to play with them.
Hello! I've been really enjoying your channel! I love your passion for puzzling and your in depth commentary and reviews. Personally I love random cut (but also enjoy grid cut) so Springbok is high up there for me, especially their older puzzles. The annoying thing, though, is how long it takes to disassemble them -- a lot of their puzzles have a really tight fit which requires care during disassembly to avoid damage. Anyway, I'm rambling -- looking forward to your next video! 😊
Hi puzzle bestie! Thank you for stopping by today. I greatly appreciate it. I did have a lot of fun putting this one together, and yes, you are right, it's a tight fit, which is good, but you have to be careful taking it apart. Do you have any recommendations for other puzzle brands that have random cuts? I want to try more eventually.
@@JavysPuzzleOdyssey Let's see... I've enjoyed random-cut puzzles by Bits and Pieces and SunsOut -- not everyone likes these brands, but I do. New York Puzzle Company too, though I think theirs might not always be random. Some Eurographics are random-cut, but some aren't. Cobble Hill brands itself as random cut, but I find their puzzles are "kindergarten" level of random-ness (not random enough for me :) ). And of course many wooden puzzles -- which can be crazy expensive, but I buy most of mine at thrift stores, much more wallet-friendly. Cheers!
I love random cut pieces! Never did a Springbok though. Currently Cobble Hill is the only brand with random cut pieces available to me. This is a beautiful image.
Hey puzzle bestie! I really enjoyed the puzzle this time. I have three Cobble Hill puzzles here, one of which is a Christmas theme, and I can't wait to try it out. I peeked in the box, and I can tell that Cobble Hill makes good quality puzzles!
I grew up doing springbok puzzles. I thrifted one this spring that had terrible quality. It was squirrels on a picnic table with nuts. Anyway I’ve been staying away from them since then other than a 400 piece I thrifted in the summer. Otherwise I just feel like the quality doesn’t match the price but I do like the images.
I feel that since the price has increased, the quality should improve as well. I'm not sure why that isn't happening. Additionally, the box is of poor quality-it's quite flimsy. I wish it were sturdier, especially for storage purposes.
