I have struggled with anxiety my whole life, but this summer it really hit me hard. Starting the school year, losing my dog, and my dad being diagnosed with cancer has been really rough and anxiety inducing. It’s been hard to shower, eat, and especially clean my room. However, after seeing this video, I finally got the willpower to try to clean a little bit. For the first time in weeks I am able to see my floor and it feels amazing. Thank you Julia : )

Hey Julia, good luck with this semester and when it comes to clothes. Keep the newest ones, donate the older ones, the ones that have damage ( holes, fading, loose threads) throw out. Hope this helps :)

Hi! I love your collection but, my mom says you don't need so many versions of jeans and shorts. She asks, how many pairs of ripped denim shorts a person needs. She also says, your tops and bottoms would look more elevated if you paired them with a regular t-shirt, cute sweater (not sweatshirt), with shorts or pants. You'd still be very cute, fun, flirty, and uni-cool but a bit more polished. I agree, you should own a pair of running or pocketed shorts with ruffles. I get my clothes from J Crew and love their choices. Have a fun year at school! :) Keep thriving!

My nearest Platoes closet is about an hour away and anytime I’ve called they always say “oh yeah you’ll be fine to bring your clothes in today at least a couple hours after opening we won’t be full at all.” I’ve literally arrived 30 minutes after opening and they claimed they were full. I’ve had good and bad experiences with them and the bad out way the good. Hit or miss place for me.

Yeah, I hate plato's too. I get barely anything for my clothes, and I already have a hard time with them accepting my clothes too because they are "not in style." There was this one time I dropped clothes off and they texted me literally 2 minutes before they close that they were done and ready for pickup or whatever. The lady told me that I could pick them up that day or the next. I come in the next day, obviously because they were closed when they fricking texted me. I tell them pickup and this dude proceeds to tell me that if they weren't picked up the day off dropping them off, then it can only be redeemed for store credit. I was so pissed but didn't even think to argue at the time and ended up getting jeans from my usually size category and those ended up being too small anyways

I am a fan of your videos. I have to be in the hospital for 4 to 5 hours and I'm taking my nintendo switch with me. I am so sorry I missed your video. I am in severe pain. I'm hyped up one minute the next I'm struggling in pain. I ave a hiatal hernia. Julia I am going to post a video montage of my video game playthroughs where if you see me messing up most you'll know I was in severe pain but after I have surgery and I'm finally home from the hospital and feeling better you'll see in the second video where I will be so amazing. I had this dream last night that made me want to cry.
Julia, don't feel bad about them not really wanting your cool clothes. The problem is overproduction. The West overproduces stuff. Warehouses are full of extra and undersold clothes and tech. You can buy NEW brand name clothes cheaply from Nordstrom Rack, Burlington, Ross,Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Overstock laptops can be bought on Deal Dash for $50 or less! Clothes at discount stores etc.are undersold .So why buy from second hand stores when you can buy new brand clothes for the same price from discount stores? I love that you and Peilan have channels now. Maybe she can do a high school video like Aimee Catherine's (she is at Yale now) "living like Rory Gilmore" video. Your latest videos are fantastic! I would decent things after driving 40 mins just for them to give me $10 for a large container of stuff bc they can’t take shoes or nice dresses?! I stopped “donating” there and sold my stuff on MERCARI and Facebook marketplace to save time and money and only donated stuff I know aren’t as nice to salvation/goodwill

Plato's Closet is just a shit show of a company all over the world I guess. Here in Canada, my friend went with a huge tub full of Lululemon, Nike and many other brand-name workout clothes they told her it was not what they were looking for and returned her entire bin she made $0. They told her the best she could do was go down to the end of the plaza and put all her stuff in the donation bin.
And then go there and pick it up free
Before a pair of jeans ends up in the store around 8000 liters of water are used! Please, we all have to take care of our planet! Thank you
