Great video, I'd never heard about checking the pulse for the feet but it makes perfect sense! I'll try it out on my horses.

Great episode guys! I just want to add that whenever you look for a pulse you should always be using your index and/or middle fingers rather than your thumb because your thumb has a strong pulse and you could mistake your own pulse for your horse's!

I would have cut the clinches first because I can't pull a shoe like that. You can use a rasp to file them down so the nails slip out smoothly. Or, use a clinch cutter before prying off the shoe. Yep, have had to take off a shoe on occasion for various reasons. I can't yank the nails out that perfectly. That takes arm strength, ha ha. Good video. Everyone should have these tools on hand.

How did Bellamy get those scars on his withers? I recently bought an eventer, somewhat of a schoolmaster, to take me to Novice-Training, and he has the exact same scars!

+Abigail Bedwell Looks like it's from an ill fitting saddle. Has very high withers so maybe not enough clearance there at some point.

Make it hard for them to be there (work them), and easy for them to be elsewhere!

Katie Lockhart that sucks, in dressage those would definitely not be competition boots. Oh well, at least he has a couple pairs :)
