bo2 hit different me and the boys jumping in no matter what it was multiplayer zombies 1v1ing or even just fing around in a custom game it just didnt miss best days of gaming for sure

MW3 was my favorite COD. I had so much fun playing that game. The same can be said with BO2.
We share the same views, though I do believe that BO2 now might be overhyped or slightly overrated because everyone claims it to be the best, but I say that there are a few COD games that can compete especially MW3

Mw3 was definitely one of my favorites. But for the wrong reasons. I Really liked the wave games mode. Special ops? I think? I don't know. But I played a all the games before that one and it seemed pretty cool. I didn't play much online but I definitely had some good memories with friends.
Even with Ghost's reputation, I really enjoyed the random class maker and just playing against friends. I know in terms of each COD it's not good, but I definitely made some good memories on that game.
The dlcs were the most fun post launch content I've had in cod

Ghost is still one of my favorites, right behind MW3.
Sure, Ghost had a few problems (cough cough… the maps a bit). but man, the guns in Ghost were amazing. Broken ass prestige system
@@SamuraiOfTheSix yeah the maps were pretty huge; but there were a few that weren't and i love that each map had a special care package; especially the map where you become Michael Myers, or the map where you become the predator. Ghosts isn't dog shit or forgettable; some of us are still waiting for ghosts 2 to finish that damn cliff hanger to the campaign.

I started playing at BO1, and I was spoiled to start. BO1 seriously had so much stuff that I loved. I still consider it to have had the best set of DLC maps and some staple maps in Summit, Firing Range, and Nuketown. MW3 added 2v2 and 3v3 modes, and infected was a fun addition. Both games sit on the throne of CODs.
Classic cods
The wagering system in bo1 was so cool to me, and in mw3 I had hands down one of the greatest times playing, only second to MW2's multiplayer. So many maps that I would place in my top 10

@Dakoda Fisher I loved the story (wish it had a part 2), the alien mode was awesome and all the DLC were just awesome. It was simply the original maps and the spawn that literally screwed up the entire fan base. I been playing since COD4 so I was sad when people talk down on Ghost. I hated Advance Warfare multiplayer even more then Ghost and I think it was the worst one, since it was heavily based on RNG Crates to get the best weapons.

I think WaW had some of the most skin crawling, and haunting music in all the cods to date. Remember that opening when you launched it? Terrifying for most first timers. Zombies probably was boring for people after a while, could argue it is the same way for the current zombies, and even the considered 'good' zombies too. But you have to give it to them for trying something out so different and fitting for the creepy vibe of the game. As a whole, it wasn't too good compared to BO2 (Which definitely is the GOAT!) but it at least brought something amazing into the CoD world. I think that your list is valid and probably a good baseline for understanding what us as players want in future CoDs! (Take notes developers) I personally believe that Vanguard should be below Dogshit tho hahaha.

My tier list would have been mostly about single or co-op based gameplay, I still play multiplayer but the experience is made vastly worse by people wanting to ruin your day

I think BO4 multiplayer was really fun for me when I gave it a second chance. I think some DLC weapons ruined the game cough “Vmp” but besides that I think it balances everything well in today’s standards because of how good cod payers are and takes a bit more time to kill a player but if you got better at the game it’s no different from any other cod game kill time when you get used to it. Multiplayer is about strategy & surviving.

I enjoyed the longer ttk cuz it gave me a chance to run around the map and turn on somebody cuz you actually had to hit your shots. Games like MW19 and Vanguard had such a quick ttk that if you ran past a dude in a corner, you were dead instantly. My biggest pet peeve with shooter games is having to play super slow and tactical to the point where the game is boring
Vmp is a launch weapon, but damn I won’t lie the weapon balance for that game was questionable. A DLC gun that definitely broke some things was the XMC, the rehash of the MSMC from Bo2. And I would repeatedly get my ass shafted by the Olympia 💀
BO2 always number 1 and BO3 would be in 2nd place IMO. Advanced movement was not crazy as in AW, yet fun, much variety of maps even though some were recycled. Good create a class, good weapon selection. Newly implemented specialists, balanced maps and sites IMO. And it was the first game that I really grinded on to get Dark Matter. The only thing that ruined it for me was that they were implementing many new guns on the supply drops and players were heavily pushed to buy drops. New weapons were fun, but not really that good and it was hard getting them.
WW2 after the big overhaul was great for those who came back and gave it a chance. They fixed so many of the gameplay problems from launch and added tons of new content. In terms of MP, it's the most fun I had with any CoD game since BO2.
For me it was just really boring and safe plus Fortnite was giant at the time.
I really liked the campaign, it felt so realistic and the cutscenes were super good, not only that but the Zombies also felt like a actual horror movie

I just remember the loot boxes and the lobby before matches, it didn't really catch me in multiplayer. I enjoyed the campaign tho.

Mw3 and Bo2 were my first cod games and online multiplayer games I ever played when I first got xbox live back during cods peak in early 2013 (before ghosts was released). I put so much time from my childhood into those games. It was all I ever wanted to do. It changed my life and made some of the best memories. I still play with my best online friend I met on bo2 10 years later.
I loved cold war so much because the ranked in that game was so fun. I loved the guns in that game except for snipers. Snipers were so broken and i hated it but other than that i loved it.
souly based off of multiplayer i agree with this, call of duty’s really need to be talked about in 2 separate categories because campaign and multiplayer is a completely different experience and honestly i enjoy most of the campaigns other than a few.

I happened to come from MW3 and BO2, and when I played Ghosts, it was alright, but a couple years ago, something clicked inside of me and Ghosts was my go-to up until my buddies finally convinced me to try the new Modern Warfare II. I would get bored of some random games and I would switch to Ghosts as a backup and keep leveling up my squad just for the heck of it. A good way to pass the time until I went to work for the day
I grew up on ghosts so it's one of my favs but I completely understand what people mean after playing other cods.

This honestly went better than I expected
WW2 was actually the first cod I ever put time into. I got diamond in the snipers and had a lot of fun, got several prestige levels.
BO2 Was my favorite game but I do think Ghost was underrated, I think it was cool.

I mean, my first zombies was bo1 and Ive been playing ever since then and have done every easter egg at least twice except tortured path and vanguard. Cold War has ended up being one of my favorites and its sad that we didnt get a year 2 for it
The zombies was the first I felt thrilled to play for hours(due to the interesting guns and the amazing packapunch systems) but I due have to say it's story was absolutely awfull and the cut scenes were meh at best

I know Tyler probably based them off of the multi-player modes for the games, but if they were based off the other modes, I personally would have put IW up higher due to the ONLY saving grace it had, which was zombies. In my opinion, IW's zombies were some of the most entertaining zombies to play, and actually I have came back to IW just to try and beat all the easter eggs a couple weeks ago. But yeah, multi-player for IW pretty much sucked, i didn't mind it, but I would rather pkay Bo3 multi-player than IW multi-player.
Ghosts was my childhood CoD, me and my brother weren’t able to play online, but we had a blast offline. The character customization was cool, a lot of the modes were really cool (especially infected) and even extinction was interesting. Then the story, honestly the only story I actually remember from any CoD game.

Personally, I think Cold War should be on good because the mp maps were better than mw imo and zombies at first wasn't good, but really improved when they added mauer der toten. I do agree with your take on the snipers in Cold War.
The biggest game changer for Cold War zombies later on was definitely the Rampage Inducer. Made every game 10x more enjoyable
I loved the Zombies mode in CW straight from the jump. The MP maps weren't very good but still WAY better than almost every other game released since BO3. If it wasn't for snipers having no flinch, the MP was pretty fun

I didn’t have internet during ghosts active period but it had my favorite campaign out of any Cod, and personally the most time I’ve put into a call of duty was WWII even though there was some unbalance I don’t think it was as bad as others, it balanced normal cod gameplay with more of an accurate war type feel well, and the crate system was pretty satisfying in my opinion
I never had as much fun as I did on bo2 back in the day. I miss those days

Rating multiplayer has 0 value because you can never go back to experience those "prime eras". Servers will die. Campaigns can be replayed.

I absolutely loved ghosts and I will fight anyone over it. It was so much fun, loved the gunplay, and a lot of the maps were awesome (a lot sucked tho) . The perk system was also incredible, so many options, and I loved being able to kit myself out however I wanted. I think ppl just gave it too much hate cuz it was the follow up to BO2, as well as coming out right before the next gen consoles. Loved it, ppl just never gave it a chance

He's so right about modern warfare 2 (2022), it was a really hyped game for no reason. There's nothing new, the maps are bad, and the perk system is seriously stupid. The movement is literally just modern warfare but with and without one feature, ledge hanging which I personally believe hinders me when I'm moving quickly and b-hoping which they took out for some reason. I'm not considering diving because it's not new obviously. And still with mw2 they haven't added anything new, at least not yet for all I know

Man if I could go back to 2012 and play bo2 for the first time again. Probably the only cod game I put so much time in and had fun playing with friends.
Modern warfare 3 is like at the border of amazing and goated. In it’s time of play for sure it was goated as hell and has easily the most time I’ve ever put into a singular call of duty. Looking at it today I can respect it being in amazing, in my heart though it’s still goated.
Ghosts had one of the best campaigns in cod history, set itself up perfectly for a sequel, yet people hate it

WaW and old school MW's will always hold a special place in my heart. Nothing will ever be the same like playing zombies and multiplayer with my friends after school and on weekends. Can't really speak for after cause I didn't play Cod multiplayer for years up until MW 2019 again. Played every Cod campaign except Infinite Warfare basically though and I do think it went through an identity crisis during those interleading years between Ghosts and a few that came after. Was very hit or miss for a while
Waw improved everything from Cod4. Great mp, incredible campain and the introduction of zombies

WaW will always be my favorite. I know it had its problems, especially with the mp40 having built in stopping power on consoles, but i just had so much fun with it
MW2 (2022) has a great gun upgrade system, it makes you use other guns instead of just grinding out one single gun. I feel like if anyone says they hate it, it’s because they’re no good with other guns than the one they just got used to after using it for 3 days and know that they’re not good enough

The top part is 100% accurate. The bottom half is completely reversed. Cold War was good after a while(March or April) so I'd put it top of Meh or bottom of good
Agreed. BOCW should at least be at the bottom of good tier. The MP felt the most like classic CoD than any of the other recent games despite its flaws and balance issues, and Zombies was super fun.

Ppl tend to forget that Treyarch made Cold War from home during a pandemic. It wasn’t a perfect game by any means, but I enjoyed it and I think it got more hate than it deserved.
Wildcat is right about the Cold War snipers tho, sooo fucking annoying that they had ZERO flinch and could still pop you even tho you were shooting tf outta them. Ya sure they had the slowest ADS speed they’ve ever had in a cod game, but the slowness could be COMPLETELY negated with speed/handling attachments making them stupid quick on top of having no flinch whatsoever.

I agree with this list. I didn’t play COD until WaW, so idk about COD4. Mw2 I feel like was my favorite because of the broken stuff but mainly because it was around the time I played the most online with friends outside of the beginning of Fortnite.
Infinte warfare I been playing so much and gained so much love for it because of campaign and zombies mode, multi is so bad but the other 2 game modes are so underrated and I love them so much

Personally i think Ghosts is underrated. I think it gets a bad rap cause it followed such amazing games, but as a stand alone i think it was a pretty solid game.

Cold War was the only CoD where you could run two secondaries, completely useless but hey you could do it.
No you could do it bo4 with underkill but it’s way easier Cold War since they don’t use the pick ten system
For me i dont ever play multiplayer that much so i enjoyed cod ww2 a lot more. I think the dynamic between daniels and zussman is good. And there was really good character development.

Call of Duty: WWII multiplayer was such a snoozefest, but I really enjoyed the campaign. I feel like that was the case with all of the WWII era games. Kinda hard to make multiplayer interesting when the weaponry wasn't so advanced I guess. Alrhough, I never played Vanguard, so I can't speak to that campaign or multiplayer, but the CoD WaW campaign is one of my all time favorites. Black Ops Campaigns (at least for 1 & 2) were also pretty good IMO.
Treyarch just elite in general with their campaigns
WW2's MP was great after the overhaul update that came a few months in. It's just a shame that it came too little too late and so many people gave up on it before then.

Ghosts gets more hate than it deserves. (My first cod COD2 The Big Red One so I have merit). Yes the mp maps were a bit big but other than that it was awesome. The customization of classes and characters was sick. The campaign is something special too and it absolutely needs to be continued. Rorke imo is the second best villain behind makarov

Top 4, I understand completely and it's super hard to put the games in any particular order. I personally slide MW2 up there as we've never had anything that insane. My only knock on 2019 is that it did too much in the campaign, and it felt like it was trying to 1-up every disaster it portrayed.
I give some lee-way to COD Ghosts as you can feel that the devs were asked to do way too much with it being the 1st "next gen" game. Extinction was (and still is) promising, the multiplayer could've been MUCH better with smaller maps. It could've been as much a launching point for an Extinction story, as COD WAW was for Zombies. The campaign was ass, I don't care what people argue for here. Since CODs whole deal is multiplayer however, this game remains a "meh"
COD WWII: By far the biggest cash grab; preyed on the nostalgia of a WWII game at the time, COUNTLESS microtransactions that didn't even offer a skin variety, and the only thing I remember about that game was flamethrower shotguns being unstoppable for the first month, an average campaign that failed to live up to its predecessor COD WAW, and a zombies that tried wayyy too hard. Literally everything I remember about this game is a bad memory, dog water.
COD WAW, definitely in the good tier for the time. FANTASTIC campaign, it's the 2nd massive COD multiplayer so it was rough around the edges but was solid, zombies was also born here and 2 of those maps are iconic.
Cold War had an extremely terrible multiplayer initially, but it did have a solid campaign and decent zombies. The zombies is super easy by comparison to literally anything else, but it's different and does succeed in some areas.
Vanguard is dog, it's not even an original COD. The use if recycled assets is an insult to the games they came from, this game belongs below the basement
Nah MW19 had horrendous maps, encouraged camping way too much, the 725 is still OP after 6 nerfs, ttk was too fast, doors, footstep volume, no dead silence perk, etc
Cold war's zombies outbreak was pretty fun imo
I oddly really enjoyed open world cod zombies
and also I enjoyed the upgrade system, it added a sense of grind past camos and unlocking weapons but in terms of multiplayer it was pretty dog
One thing I liked about Blackout was when they did the 50v50 mode, that was fun to have a giant ear until the last team stood
I like to think that BO2 was so fucking peak, that people just did not give af about Ghosts when it came out.

WW2 was so underrated. headquarters was the awesome, care packages and contracts were amazing, brought back boots on the ground, great guns, great game
personally my favorite cod game ever. not the best but my favorite
Headquarters was sick but the allure was long gone by the time they actually made it work 2 months later

When he said, "Ghosts... WAS DOGSHIT!" I literally almost cheered, cultured. Edit though, OG MW2 should definitely be higher if you aren't considering the tinted glasses mentality lol if you're not sentimental that's one thing but the game's maps, gun mechanics and campaign were amazing. The game mechanics allowed for the best version of quick scoping, trick shotting and sniping in general spawning one of the most successful groups on UA-cam in FaZe and the maps were some of the community's all time favorites like Terminal and Rust. Also the campaign? One of the best video game twists even to this day! WAY too satisfying putting that knife in Shepard's eye.
Ghost was the first call of duty that has slide and that’s when slide was born and I would say the story is awesome but multiplayer the worst of them all
I actually enjoyed that alien mode thing it had. That was the only thing I played for more than a day

same thing with Infinite Warefare. Best CoD campaign imo. Zombies wasn’t bad. Pretty fun, multiplayer is awful though. I’d put it in high B tier overall.
Ghosts had a great campaign story-wise, don't remember the actual gameplay much though, story-wise though it's one of the few that I can remember almost as well as og MW2 and BO1
