(always check the drop from purple itens, high chance of coming wrath or health steal) I actually have: Possesed Scytle +30% Health Steal, Possesed Axe +30% Wrath Steal Possesed Mace +30% Wrath Steal Possed Gauntlet +95% Wrath Steal 30% or 95% is actually the same thing, u can get max wrath with one hitn same goes for health ! (thumbs up, so more ppl can read this :)
Great explanation of the Strength vs Arcane and how they help build damage for your Harbinger and Necromancer skill trees. I actually hadn't noticed that. I'm just about to head into the final battles and now I know how I'm going to redistribute my skill points. Thanks!
If I was the game dev director of this game, I would allow the user to upgrade any of their base stats, including critical chance and health regen. I would also give them the possibility to literally craft a powerful weapon instead of looting useless weapons over and over. To craft the most powerful weapon they would just need money that they will invest into a blacksmith, and there will be different tiers. With the highest tier, you can make the best weapons in the game. You could choose the specific model and shape, as well as some colors on your weapon. There will be a more efficient weapon crafting system than what the possessed weapon system allow you to do. Lastly, the inventory won't be so limited. You'd have much more slots(50 per tab/category). With that, gamers could share the stats they play with and make gameplay demos of them.
I find that they become more frequent towards the end of the Kingdom of the Dead. You can go to Vulgrim and save/restart until a weapon has health/wrath steal on it. Crucible also gives pretty good weapons at wave 25+
That's all true. All of it. The funny thing, I had went thru the 'Crucible' with shitty possessed scythes ( without Crit. chance ), but, still had Health & wrath steal. Still went thru it, when I had gotten my lvl. 30 possessed scythes. Then, I went off. Ended up with 30% Health & wrath steal on them, when I was finished.
the real question is, is it better to keep around regular items (loot) w/ desired stats you pick up for possessed weapon builds or get legacy artifacts instead? its definitely quicker when sacrificing to use loot w/ desired stats. problem is keeping it around fills the inventory pretty quickly & prevents you from hanging onto legendary weapons (which i like to hold on to). legacy artifacts can be bought anytime as needed, as can "loot", but good "loot" is way pricier to buy at high xp levels
Oh man, you shed a light on possessed weapons for me. I had no idea that the things you fed the weapons actually affected the stats of that weapon when it levels. I was under the assumption that the upgrade choices were random. I will now be more careful with what I choose to feed my possessed weapons. Thank you so much!
*IMPORTANT* When doing the Vulgrim trick, you cannot use the ingame menu to quit to title. Instead, you must use the xbox/ps3 menu (by holding down the centre button) to quit the entire game. You must do this once it shows you what weapon you got; DO NOT press A/X or you will be stuck with that item!!!!!
How is this for a powerful set up on the Scythes ( Necromancer) Damage 284 - Arcane Critical Damage+51%- Health Steal +36%- Wrath Steal +36%- Execution Chance +56% -( Stats)= Arcane Critical Chance 105%- Arcane Critical Damage +507 % -(with right talisman) - Execution Chance up to 84% and Arcane 470 ..... In the Crucible anything goes down like butter within 3 seconds or less. Mode is Apocalyptic. Has anyone have a more powerful set up? I would like to know
Tha was superbe dude....i've lookin all oner the net for some info on the very topics that u discussed and since they were on the vid, this vid was the most helpful
Kind of a latecomer into Darksiders 2 (I like to wait til the games are cheap and buy it pre owned...LOL!). This is by far the best and most informative vid I have seen. thumbs up!
As he said in the video, you can visit Vulgrim or look around there are some very well hidden places where you can find possesed weapons, I've found some very nice scythes in the Land Of The Dead and so on after the Forgelands.
I'm pretty sure the increase in damage is entirely dependent on the level of the possessed weapon, same as for how much each stat goes up at every level up. The only thing I can't seem to figure out so far, is which stats apply globally and which are weapon-specific; For example, I currently have a Mace in my offhand that has STR, DEF, RES & ARC as its stats - essentially using it as a stat-shield/accessory. I did this as from what I can tell, things like crit rate only apply to that weapon.
What you do is, when the weapons pop up before you do ANYTHING if they aren't the weapons you want you press the Xbox button and then go to the dashboard before you press A or B or whatever, and when you come back to the game you'll have your money and tokens.
Anyone know why the legacy artifacts won't appear in vulgrims inventory playing on normal mode. Like it won't even give me the option to purchase it. Any help greatly appreciated
I’ve been playing this game again after a while, hence the comment but i wanted to ask, can you not bring your gears and weapons from apocalyptic to deathinitive?
I'm confused. I sacrificed a secondary weapon with high damage output, and then sacrificed two epic weapons with high strength. When it leveled it only let me choose from crit chance, and wrath per crit. Strength wasn't in the list of options.
ive got one good idea you can put one possessed weapon health on criltical damage the whole time and then make an other possessed weapon on fire and ice damage if you need health put the heal one if you most fight with some one strong then put the fight scythe
You can execute any enemy at any health except the main bosses in the story-line, those are automatically executed when they are at a specific health level whether or not you have execution chance. Because they are supposed to get defeated in a specifically cool way. Although, that only goes for a few of the bosses in the game... Any other enemy can be executed at 99% health.
so let me get this straight for a necromancer build you should focus on arcane, wrath steal, health steal and critical damage? then for harbinger focus on strength, critical damage, critical chance and wrath steal?
How about critical chance? I'm never sure which to get out of critical chance and critical damage? I figured critical chance would be better because obviously the more critical hits the better? Or not?
How sure are you about strength increasing the damage on teleport slash?? i read elsewhere that arcane is what affects the damage of your skills, like teleport slash. i would really like to know please!! thanks!
Hey Manufacture, i was wondering, i have these great looking pair of scythes but obviously as i progress my game+ im falling behind on damage output since i don't wanna change them, is it possible to find exact looking scythes if i look hard enough?
I like to use possesses weapons and upgrading them but at the same time I usually find something I want to feed to it and it ends up that I can't because they're already fully upgraded, so I have to start the whole process all over again.
if ur looking for a certian stat just buy the tailsman item from vulgrim. sacrifice that to ur weapon if the stat u want not on there just press LB [not sure about ps3 and pc]. eventually you'll come across the stat u wont. this might be helpful tho in new game plus. or at the start of the game and duplicate a crap load of items to get money. the item cost 25K and takes 2-3 tailsmans to lvl ur weapon up. now u dnt need to go around and hopefully find the stat u want. thumbs up so every1 can see
Just buy 3-4 legacy artifacts and save the game and put those legacy artifacts on ur possessed weapon, if you don't get wrath or health steal just quit the game and do it again till u get it
Execution chance only happens once health gets to a certain level, though, so for the boss rounds, it's essentially useless, if you can't get their health down to the level where Execute is available before you're killed. But if you've got one with high Execute chance, AND a high amount of Health Steal......
I would like to dis agree, I have possessed sythe that gives me 9 heath on crit that I'm tring to level up its stats and in the skill tree section there it a Stat that gives you a 10% Critcal Strike chance so if it had heath steal and crit steal I feel it vould be good but I fed some rathsteal to them but it didn't about the stat
from watchn the video, ur stats is quite comparable to mine: 4 instance, Id focus on Health, Defense, Strength for armor health and wrath steal, critical Damage, strength , and elemental effect. which brngs me 2 this question, whats the differnce btween Criticl Damage and Criticl Chances?
Doesn't strength also affect the normal damage output of your weapons, like normal swipes with the scythes, and arcane increases the damage of elemental or magic attacks like fire, lightning, and ice? Because I have a weapon with high Arcane, and my inferno scythes do nearly 5000 inferno damage.
manufactured opinionn can u do a complete walkthrough of darksiders 2 from beginning to end with all of ur possessed weapons and armors etc.it would be really awesome if u did that man
yeah..usually the weapons that you find later are higher levels though so it balances out in the end. You just may have to go through the process a couple of times.
could you give me some tips for a necromancer build? what armor should i get, what things should i look for with armor/gear and what skills should i have for my necromancer build, im only level 11 at the moment, please reply im so stuck and i really want to move forward with the game, my stats just suck at the moment, i want to focus on necromancer build i just dont know what stats i need to focus on:(
Im in the same boat i do not have the legacy box either. Wonder why?!!?? I have been finding weapons with Health per kill, Health per crit and Health on execution but i have yet to find any health steal. Are those high level ones or something? Im level 15 right now (started over).
so if i have a possessed weapon and i want health steal, i would have to level it up with another weapon with health steal? or just feed it to the possessed?
Well that depends, if you're one of those who prefer to have their space and cause much damage I recommend the Necromamcer, but if you're the kind that go all melee I recommend the Harbringer. As I said it depends on whether you and I highly recommend this game
The best way to level up your possessed weapons is to have crit chance, crit damage, wrath steal and health steal on claws or armblades for a secondary weapon and crit chance and damage, defense and execution chance on a primary weapon. That way you get super high execution chance and defense but your secondary weapon is really fast with crit chance and damage.
What level do you usually start seeing wrath and health steal on weapons? I'm currently level 18 and still haven't seen any...I'm guessing you only see them when you're in your 20's?
Yeah I wish I had've known this. But thing is as well, when I bought it, I didn't get any box pop up to tell me what I received, and I received nothing at all, so as soon as I bought the box it went back to the buy screen. Was weird cause I tried on the other boxes and I received items from them.
Health steal and Wrath steal, and some other stats that don't commonly show up, I believe these stats chances of being applied to weapons found or bought is lower for this reason of farming these weapons for possesed weapons.
How do I get really high crit damage and chance? And is there ANY way to get health steal before level 10? I started a new game on deathinitive difficulty on the xbox one. I'm not having any trouble yet but I want to be OP as soon as possible and I wanna get all the achievements in one play through....
You can get juggernaut armor and juggernaut talisman and you will get a lot critical damage, i've got over 381% critical damage and 80% critical chance on both weapons I also have 528 strength 107 arcane. that armor is way better than Abyssal armor but it's a bit hard to get because you have to be level 30 for get the best stats on it.
bro check my page out. I have very OP armor and I play on xbox 1 and PS4. My xbox 1 game I do 40,000 damage with HAMMER!!! and 10,000 with regular scythe
Man, I'm sorry but... health steal and wrath steal? I'm already level 30 and I haven't seen an armor or an equipment that can offer me those habilities. Any help? Where should I look for those stats? The only ones I've seen so far are the "Black Demise Scythes" which cannot be sacrified.
I was able to replicate the CRIT based build on one of the videos I've seen on youtube and I still think it's one of the best way to go by mixing it with ICE and Life on CRIT. I was able to achieve a whopping 15K average crit, nearly broke the 20K and off-hand with Aftermath reaching 56K crit. Crit output is around 580%.
Arcane increases your wrath attacks dmg and strength increases your normal attacks dmg regardless of the skill three, at least thats how it is in DS3 and I am pretty sure its the same here
if i sacrifice a weapon that has health steal but it doesn't work my weapon to the next lvl will i still get the option of health steal if i sacrifice a weapon with totally different stats?
I'm level 20 on apocalyptic right now and i haven't seen any life steal property yet. When can i expect to see them drop? Also Vulgri guves me nothing but crap....
***** Np tho take note that elemental effects are tied to arcane rate, i think it makes it cooler that way but its hard to get at start and i think arcana rate was efected from 2nd weapon enchants.. not sure tho i had ton rate by the time i descovered elemental encahnts power so i didnt put arcane rate on 2nd weapon.. i can test it if u want since i have ton red weapons to play around with :D
Nah it's alright, thanks anyway. I'm not an experienced player but I prefer Harbinger over Arcane. Although elemental weapons are fun to use, I think the Harbinger weapons do way more damage and the abilities are so much better during combat as well e.g Teleport, Harvest and Unstoppable.
***** Thats the thing... i also am harbringer player but the elemental damage boost is for all magic(wrath) and harbinger ;) 80 str and some elemental damage so beats out 100% critical damage... since u get like ton add to ur base damge and u still have 300% crit thats more.. Like lets say u have 1k damge and 300% critical damge u would get 4k damge add 100% critical athats 5k damge But if you got ur damage from 1k to 2k thats 8k damage The numbers are totaly not corect tho the idea is the same :D So elemental encahnts give biger damge boost and more damge... i have like 0% arcana critcal damge adds tho only rate :D idk if arcane damge % add to elemental damage... i think not since it seams to be a hybrid stat taking arcane critcal % for chance to acure and harbringer(physical) critical damge % for acual damage XD
instead of tryig to find weapons with healt stealt or hope they drop from chest, just go to vendors and chech the weapons ,cuz i got 2 weapons with healt steal so far and didn t checked very often. Also check all the weapons including green.
thats awesome, but a pro tip if you are gonna make more possessed items, use ice damage not lightning damage, because ice damage has a chance to completely freeze the enemy
I've seen one Wrath Steal on a level 26 Scythe, but that's it so far. I'm really looking forward to building a superior Scythe that has high Crit Damage, Health Steal, Wrath Steal, and high Execute Chance, all in one. With other pieces of gear increasing my Crit chance, I'll never die and I'll kill things off quickly and without mercy.XD
You'll have to show me a video of that before I'll buy into it, because I've never had that happen during an actual main-story-line-boss fight, not even once.
What i like to do is use achidna`s fangs for the health steal ability and make my scythes do insane damage overall while having my relics give wrath, health and reaper energy per execution.
Finally found health steal by the way, level 17, I hope this game doesn't end to soon it's seriously the best game I've ever played, maybe I need to play more games but I'm 32 and have played a few although I've normally steered clear of RPGs because in the past they've been to slow and boring, if anyone can recommend any games similar to this It would be very much appreciated, also is the crucible worth getting? I bought this pre owned, I'm thinking at this stage it is because like I said I never want this game to end, although my gf certainly does.
sacrifice 2 legacy artifacts (level 40 talismans w/ NO stats bought from vulgrim for 25k ea.) in a row on your possessed weapon. if health steal doesn't come up at first, quit the game w/out saving and continue to try again until it does. in fact you can do this to get any weapon stat in the game, so buying expensive regular weapons/armor/talismans w/ stats you want for your possessed weapon is fairly pointless. you can also sell the junk loot you pickup & buy as many legacy artifacts as needed
Yes. They're better because you can sacrifice other pieces of gear to them to increase their strength and add additional abilities. Essentially, a Possessed weapon is like a Legendary on steroids, one that you can build yourself to have almost any set of abilities you want, up to four or five at a time. Imagine a weapon that can deal fire damage, heal you with every hit, give you higher crit damage, and raises your chances of enabling an Execution attack. You can build that bad boy.
If you upgrade your possesses weapons only with legacy items from Vulgrim they will take 2 random stats.Savve before upgrade and if you dont like the stats quit game and re enter tha game again.I build my scythes always with Crit chanse, crit damage, ice damege and lifesteal %.For more possesses weapon drops, you better find the demonheart talisman. You need 20 book of the dead pages, sell the 2nd chapter to vulgrim and you will find the talisman at the Lost Tomp,Lair of deposed kind.
I have a possesed weapon and feed only maces axes and polearms to it with my favorite stats. it incresed my maindmg of the weapon so much i didnt find a better dmg weapon till now.
Ok guy I saw a few of your vids the past few days while playing this game and I gotta say.......your vids are helpful as fuck! You seem to nerd tf out on this game lol I love it! I played this game years ago and upgraded my possessed weapons but forgot I could even do that. Also I saved right in front of Vulgrim and bought some trash, reloaded, and I still had the trash weapon with my Vulgrim money still gone. I'm playing the 360 version on the one. They probably patched it or I did it wrong.
No, the new value has only 30% life steal when i put that thing into a posessed weapon and this increased to 35% in the end. But totally worth it, because i put it in a very good claw and with that i could finish the crucible on apocalyptic mode from lvl1 - lvl100 + wicked k without drinking any health potion.... so i think 35% life + wrath steal should be enough to every situation.
(always check the drop from purple itens, high chance of coming wrath or health steal)
I actually have:
Possesed Scytle +30% Health Steal,
Possesed Axe +30% Wrath Steal
Possesed Mace +30% Wrath Steal
Possed Gauntlet +95% Wrath Steal
30% or 95% is actually the same thing, u can get max wrath with one hitn same goes for health ! (thumbs up, so more ppl can read this :)
how did it reach 95???
arcane can also effect ice, frost, fire, inferno, shock, and lightning damage.
Great explanation of the Strength vs Arcane and how they help build damage for your Harbinger and Necromancer skill trees. I actually hadn't noticed that. I'm just about to head into the final battles and now I know how I'm going to redistribute my skill points. Thanks!

THANKS MAN Helped a lot, didnt know that it matters what weapon/armor u use for your possesed, i always just looked at the bar:P
man manufacture i dont know how you get so low views your vids are great and i love the commentary keep up man!
As he said in the video, you can visit Vulgrim or look around there are some very well hidden places where you can find possesed weapons, I've found some very nice scythes in the Land Of The Dead and so on after the Forgelands.

Primary weapon Level 30 Pos. Scythes 257-291 dmg - 30% crit chance - 35% crit damage - 77 Strength - 30% health steal
DPS = 5730
Crit chance = 59%
Crit damage = 346%
Secondary weapon (claws) Pos. Claws 254-296 dmg - (same stats as primary)
DPS = 5730
Crit chance = 59%
Crit damage = 346%
Attacks average 7-8k crits. Teleport averages 20-24k crits
@jedi87t critical chance is how often you crit hit. crit damage is the dmg output when you crit hit
why not just keep beating Wicked K. to get possessed weapons?? I'm pretty sure you can just keep fighting him
have you tried Necromancer? personally I prefer it over Harbinger since ghouls can also block attacks that wouldve hit you otherwise
What you do is, when the weapons pop up before you do ANYTHING if they aren't the weapons you want you press the Xbox button and then go to the dashboard before you press A or B or whatever, and when you come back to the game you'll have your money and tokens.
Great video, thanks for the breakdown on how/what strength and arcane affect.

When can I get the amulet of legacy from vulgrim I'm at level 14 in the game or is just in the deathinvitive edition

It`s a decorative effect that abyssal spaulders give.

What is health and wrath steal? Does he mean wrath/health on kill? I've never seen health steal and I'm just starting the 2nd world
Working on it..thanks for the patience!
Stupid question, but what's the best way to find weapons with wrath/health steal
Just buy 3-4 legacy artifacts and save the game and put those legacy artifacts on ur possessed weapon, if you don't get wrath or health steal just quit the game and do it again till u get it
- Sleezy Meezy - why not jus go to Vulgrim save....buy possessed weapon...quit out come back....rinse n repeat till u get what you want?
So, health on critical, wrath on critical and critical damage are the most important things to put in your weapons?
Execution chance only happens once health gets to a certain level, though, so for the boss rounds, it's essentially useless, if you can't get their health down to the level where Execute is available before you're killed.
But if you've got one with high Execute chance, AND a high amount of Health Steal......
a perfect health steal weapon , would be black demise sycthes which you can retrieve from the soul arbiters maze

For harbinger I would replace crit chance with health steal..crit damage is huge with upgraded teleport slash/unstoppable as it is.
Im in the same boat i do not have the legacy box either. Wonder why?!!?? I have been finding weapons with Health per kill, Health per crit and Health on execution but i have yet to find any health steal. Are those high level ones or something? Im level 15 right now (started over).

Thank you very much you saved me alot of truble...helpful as allways Mopinion :)
dude manufacturedopinionn ur darksiders2 videos are very kool i subscribe to them now and ur videos help me out
Does it get easier to find weapons with health/wrath steal stats later in the game, or in NG+?

Quantum Mechanic if you defeat the hulk construct in the lost temple you will get a axe that has 10% healt steal
ComiXruBe Yt problem with this has weapon u can’t upgrade it....n you can infuse it in possessed weapons....bummer?....😞
Very good video! You explain everything precisely and clearly! THANKS SO MUCH!
What happens when you feed an already high level possessed weapon to another possessed weapon?
How did you get those Scyhes? i want them so bad!
Abyssal Pauldrons. It's a piece of Legendary Armor that you can earn.
rat steal or wrath steal?
Will stats from your secondary weapon transfer over to you? e.g. will health, defense, strength, etc be added onto your overall stats?
U can even get element from 2nd weapon.. critical rate and damge wont be shered tho...
Alright, thanks! this should be a pretty awesome gameplay now that I know how to make bad ass weapons :D
***** Thats the thing... i also am harbringer player but the elemental damage boost is for all magic(wrath) and harbinger ;)
80 str and some elemental damage so beats out 100% critical damage... since u get like ton add to ur base damge and u still have 300% crit thats more..
Like lets say u have 1k damge and 300% critical damge u would get 4k damge add 100% critical athats 5k damge
But if you got ur damage from 1k to 2k thats 8k damage
The numbers are totaly not corect tho the idea is the same :D
So elemental encahnts give biger damge boost and more damge... i have like 0% arcana critcal damge adds tho only rate :D idk if arcane damge % add to elemental damage... i think not since it seams to be a hybrid stat taking arcane critcal % for chance to acure and harbringer(physical) critical damge % for acual damage XD
strength affects the damage of the harbinger skills and arcane amplifies your necromancer skills
instead of tryig to find weapons with healt stealt or hope they drop from chest, just go to vendors and chech the weapons ,cuz i got 2 weapons with healt steal so far and didn t checked very often.
Next set should start over the next couple of days
You'll have to show me a video of that before I'll buy into it, because I've never had that happen during an actual main-story-line-boss fight, not even once.
How do you get more possessed scythes?
Legacy items are only sold on PC.
possessed weapons are better than legendary weapons?? and i don't have any scythe eccept black demise scythes that have health steal and i'm level 29
Where's the next stonebite vid dude? It's been a while and I really need those stonebites.
i had no idea it worked like this! i just sacrifice random junk in my inventory! thanks man ill think i bit more next time ;)
whats the name of the weapon hes using in this video?
soooo where do i get possesed schytes from?...
sacrifice 2 legacy artifacts (level 40 talismans w/ NO stats bought from vulgrim for 25k ea.) in a row on your possessed weapon. if health steal doesn't come up at first, quit the game w/out saving and continue to try again until it does. in fact you can do this to get any weapon stat in the game, so buying expensive regular weapons/armor/talismans w/ stats you want for your possessed weapon is fairly pointless. you can also sell the junk loot you pickup & buy as many legacy artifacts as needed
You can get possessed weapon from Vulgrim or from the Crucible
Hate to tell u this but u CANT exploit vulgrim because each time u buy a box it auto saves so ur stuck with what u get.
Hey ManufacturedOpinion, can you do a video about how to level up faster in Darksiders 2?
12 years later :D
Thnks for the help, i kept checking the vendors until they had those ;)
