I thank the people who buy their merch. I would never have been able to afford one, but if they sustain themselves with merch sales and limited ad revenue (this is an age restricted and ad limited show), they probably have a lot of rich backers keeping the show alive or have cheap contracts where pleasing the fans presides over financial compensation.

If you watch the pilot and then watch the most recent episode, you can definitely see how much the quality has grown. I absolutely love the way the sky changes in each ring since it really makes you feel a certain emotion each time. Like the yellow sky in the gluttony ring makes me feel happy and want to party which really shows that the creators put attention to detail. What gets me is people saying Viv is telling her story wrong. The best example of this being Bee, the expectation was that she'd be massive, yet when she showed up she's thin as a twig. She's not the ruler of gluttony because she herself is gluttonous but because she wants everyone around her to over indulge! That is refreshing really, and subverts expectations!

I’m pro quality, because the month long wait gives the fans the chance to recover from the angst/drama before moving on to the next episode of the season. Vivziepop not only gives us a world that’s vivid and colorful, but also livable when it comes to the different industries and characters shown in the different rings, along with giving us a hint there’s more going on when it comes to the big picture mystery of the show. With only one ring left to explore, I wonder how Heaven is structured?

I feel like helluva boss has become an inspiration for all creators out there that it's possible to make a successful and entertaining animated series without a known studio behind them. Cause lately I've been seeing more high quality series like monkey wrench, murder drones, chikn nugget, etc. It's made me actually a bit hopeful that I don't need a studio to pitch a show. The part about someone's taste and ego really reminded me of something I learned a while ago: people can fail at distinguishing between "I don't like this" and "This is bad" and just combine them into "because I don't like or cannot like it, It must be bad"
I tried like hell to enjoy Animal Crossing games, and couldn't, but that doesn't take away from how much people love it and the effort put into it.

This is something Schoff’s video essay on Ratatouille highlighted really well:
There is more love and creativity put into a “garbage” movie than the review distinguishing as such.
If you don’t like something, fine. If you want to create videos on what you don’t like, fine. Don’t say something is “uninspired” or lacking creativity, though. Because whatever it is, it’s infinitely more creative than making a review on that thing.

Yes Helluva Boss has its serious moments, but its able to weave in humor into the seriousness that make it flow so well. Yes some parts here and there don't flow the greatest, but overall this is one of these best shows I have ever watched. I think your dead right with the way people have been criticizing movies, TV shows and other things. I remember in like 2016 it was so popular for people to look for "bad" OC's or what they thought was a Bad OC and give the user "constructive criticism" but in reality was telling the person their OC was bad and they are a horrible person and have no skills and should just delete the drawing altogether. that kind of thing made me TERRIFIED to showcase my artwork and OC's to the point i still get anxiety over getting notifications encase someone just decides its bad and tries to do that kind of thing to me. it was really popular back in the day. i think it has creative this toxic backwash of people who believe that they are an authority over all others. and their op is better then every one else. its so toxic and its so unfortunate that vizzy is going though this. I know she seems to be doing ok on twitter but who knows maybe it gets to her sometimes. It would be cool if people just realized that being angry at someone doing something in a way you wouldn't do is not a bad thing, its how people shear ideas.

While I can understand some complaints that have been made, it feels like people haven’t been giving the production team and the show space to exist and let things play out. Like, complaints with the Hollywood episode ended up being resolved because we got the context we’d lost due to the issues with episode 8, and I can understand complaints about accuracy with the demons, but Viv and the team might just be doing a different take on things (or there’s info we just don’t have yet)

Originally, it was just Hazbin Hotel, set in what is now the Pride Ring (however at the time it was meant to be Hell in its entirety). Hazbin focused on the human Sinners, keeping everything relatable and fantastical at the same time.
Then came Helluva Boss. Hell was expanded into seven Rings as to not spoil too many aspects of Hazbin Hotel's main setting. Additionally, Helluva Boss largely revolved around the native demons, allowing us to learn more about the inner culture of Hell beyond the Warlords.
It's great how Spindlehorse was able to make these shows coexist and compliment each other so well. Two sides of the same coin.

If you think you really have the right to complain about the characters not being a certain way, or the scenery not what you wanted, i would say this isnt the show for you. Ill admit, initial design choices or even recent redesigns did......concern me, on some occasions, but these choices have grown on me, not to mention the majority of this show is simply brilliant by itself. Even if we dont meet all 7 princes or all of the arz goetia until the final season, i think thats fine, because uts a suspense builder. I'm now in the process of making a prologue comic and I need to conduct some research and budgeting to crowdfund and crowdsource for a pilot. Later in life I also plan on opening my own animation studio here in Raleigh NC.

I def agree quality is best the moment I saw a clip of this show on a yt short it was enough to peak my interest and I began to binge watch all of Helluva Boss in almost one night XD Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss have grabbed my attention not just with its story telling, but it’s art style, characters, background art, all of it and that’s what makes me excited for whatever happens next so I don’t care how long it’ll take cuz Ik that time is what makes it worth while :]]

i definitely prefer the week to week or month to month release schedule. one of my favorite parts of watching shows is the discussion and theory crafting. shows like the Marvel shows, Voltron, etc. are my bread and butter. I love looking for the little details and trying to figure out what they could mean. Shows Like Helluva Boss also have a lot of rewatch ability cause you notice new things in each viewing.

One of the best videos you’ve made so far (IMO)! Honestly I’ve always felt the same way: “Is there a need to criticize something which exceeds most modern day cartoons just because you (yes you!) don’t like the way the creator made it?” It was never the consumers job to tell Vivzepop how her vision for the show could be, especially because the show is literally free (like what, amazing!). The problem is, the second anyone can reach a creator online, they will want to make it their vision not the creators.

Quality over quantity is definately a great thing. I like to compare and bring up gravity falls when it comes to this. The creators made it clear that they were NOT going to do more then 3 seasons even though it was so popular. This was to keep the essense of the show, but also answer all questions asked. In the end it had one of the BEST ever season finales I even ever seen to this day. I wish more shows would be as dedicated in making their shows so well done. I love helluva boss; I even love the pause between episodes now as it has helped me to think harder about what has happened, catch up with others, and destress/reexamine if something felt iffy. Love it and am always vouching for it!

I do think everyone is frustrated on the lack of consistency on the release schedules. It's ok that they release once a month as long as it only releases once a month. Some episodes release 3 months from the last, then one after the other. Sometimes you forget the show ever existed, comes out of nowhere.

Of course there's always the haters that at this point just critizise the show for the sake of it, but I don't really pay much attention to those

When i like anything like Helluva Boss I'm going back and forth between watching critically and also getting swept up in the spectacle. The only time I was disappointed in an episode was with the return of Striker and it made me wonder why? I analyzed the episode on second viewing to understand my own disappointment and I realized just how good the Spindle horse team is when they have a full 20 min episode(like yall this is their ideal episode run time. They have done wonders with shorter run times but they are at their best when they get a full length episode's worth to tell the episode's story.) Seriously, I realized "damn Viv's got me spoiled."
Obviously the people critiquing in bad faith can go f themselves. I watch critically because I'm trying to learn and improve myself as an artist and storytelling and I'm constantly getting so much joy from this show even when it comes short wich is very rare. So many shows that are backed by big studios don't give me nearly as much to think about or even just to have a reprieve of happiness from the pain of the mediocrity of adulthood. People going online to be so critical for the sake of getting attention clearly don't have enough in their life going on.

Like with Millie we love her but we hate not having her get focused on in the show. Till the most recent one came out and it was a moxie episode but it helped sprinkle in a bit of Millie as a person which I loved. I always can’t wait for the next episode whenever that comes out and look forward to theories and how vivzipop expands her show.

EFF YES, sick of folks being aggressively, and often short-sightedly critical of the show. Blindly calling out character depth as "inconsistency" or intentional character flaws as bad writing? It would be hilarious if it weren't so ubiquitous and pompous. I just really hope none of it actually negatively affects Viv. But yes, love how the output structure of the show in comparison to the binge structure of mainstream stream media. The ability to have time to appreciate stuff personally and socially is night-and-day compared to binge-content

My generation and the ones that came after have grown on youtube critics and reviewers who often time use iperboles when talking about negatives in media as negativity drives engagement. This has resulted in a lot of jounger people not knowing the difference between constructive and deconstructive criticism, ending up with people often being really mean without even fully realizing what they're saying.
