In this episode I managed to get private access to the worlds best collection of all Nissan production cars, concepts and race cars, all under the one roof! I also get to take a closer look at one of my all time favorite cars, the Nissan R34 GTR Pennzoil Car, that raced in JGTC.

39:25 - I remembered Erik Comas did owned the R390 GT1 racecar, with the 'M24ANS' registration number and it's street legal too!
I know for a fact they do not have every car, I once owned a genuine ex works Datsun sunny PB210 based on the B210 most are familiar with but in Japan both the Datsun 1200 and Later Sunny models had both A series Engine models and L series engine models the later with the L series were in the early 1970's PB 110 rather than the base model B110 and the same with the B210 and L series variant the PB210 my car was driven by Sheka Mehta from Kenya normally a Safari Rally specialist and ran a 1.6 litre variant of the Formula Pacific 1400c LZ 16 valve twin cam with well over 200 HP from 1600 CC used in Australia's Southern Cross Rally in the late 1970's
Nissan do not have a PB210 Rally Car in the collection they had an extended nose different tail lights and an LZ 1600 engine compared to the normal B210 model with an A12 or A14 Engine.
I have been there and it was absolutely breathtaking. Beware! You need to make an appointment way before, and making an appointment is hard as it’s all in Japanese. You go in a small group so you have most of it for yourself
This! I went to the museum recently and was sent away because an appointment is now required. 😅
Not too many people know about this so I’m glad you mentioned it! There isn’t a lot of info out there about the museum’s updates as most of the info is before 2020.

@@leeroyjenkins7141 only way is to book via their website. It’s all and only in Japanese but Google translate or some other service will help you.

Best coverage of the Zama collection! Lots of great detail in the commentary and thoughtful closeups. Thank you. Surprising number of the older Nissans and Datsuns are to be found where I live - New Zealand.

My sister's best friend was on the nissan le mans team in the mid/late 80's. He brought me a bunch of posters and memorabilia from le mans. I thought he was the coolest person on the planet when I was eight...

I got so excited when you showed the RZ-1 and talked about it! I knew that they had one but from all the videos of this collection you were the first to actually stop and talk about the car! This one really needs all the time to go over everything, this is a tour of dreams. Great collection with the detailed coverage it deserves. Great to see this kind of care about the manufacturer's own history. Impossible to not think of a Nissan after this video.

But yes the Silhouette is the coolest things in there. Also the BTCC Nissan Primera
FANTASTIC! What an incredible place - this hour+ seemed to go by very quickly. Though the 240Z will always remain my favorite creation in the Datsun/Nissan realm, I must say that the pair of "66 Silvias were also very cool to see, what a gorgeous looking design. It was great that they were willing to pull out your favorite car so that you could take a close up look at it and share it with all of us. Thank you for the wonderful Christmas gift!
My father started in 1972 with a truck. He used it for daily an farm use. That truck was indestructible. Many moons later im still driving them. Wonderful video. Would love to see this in-person

I have a 1986.5 D21 kingcab with Z24i and a 1988 2-door WD21 with VG30i both made in Kyushu Japan with a W in the 11th vin number and both on the road still today.

Many childhood memories seeing some of the cars from the 1970s and 80s there! I learnt to drive in a 1980 Sunny. Was so easy to drive, light controls and smooth gearshift. I never liked these cars then but I really appreciate them now.

Great commentary video mate, very informative. Would have liked a bit more on the rally cars especially the Safari ones, they dominated in East Africa for a fair while and I did see some of the winners in the line up. Awesome video!👌
The B13 SENTRA/SUNNY will be one of my favorites! Such a great car! I saw a glimpse of the B12 SUNNY or the B12 SENTRA in 16:19
When people start talking about how wonderful Tesla is, they should take a look at a collection like this for a real reality check. All the different models, year after year. Just amazing!
I always thought Calsonic blue was the best livery for any race GTr, but the Pennzoil R34 just changed that.

Oh how I wish SUPER GT never went away from the 03-08 and 09-13 era when the technical and aerodynamic rules made the series unique among GT categories.
The '99 and '03 GT500 GT-Rs were very different cars, not only because the '99 used the 2.8L RB26, and the '03 using the 3.0L VQ30DETT, along with the way the cars are built, right down to the way the cars handled on track.
The 2007 Xanavi NISMO Z33 GT500, 4.5L VK45DE NA V8 and extreme aero "350Z", sat next to the '03 and '13 GT-Rs is my favourite.

The Z Car club Queensland, Australia is invited to go to Lofty Drews home for his birthday party every year. He is a very nice man with lots of stories and memorabilia.

15:31 - Maaaan... I miss my 84 S12 turbo so damn much. It was such a quirky little car (for instance, note the small "OBRUT" badge by the right side turn signal in the front bumper at 16:20) and it had this really weird/cool digital cluster. I had a lot of fun with the fact that NO ONE seemed to know what it was, and I was able to really surprise a lot of people with how quick I got it. Can't even count the number of times I heard people say it was a "fast Corolla". 😂😂😂

Here in Canada 🇨🇦 there are the Nissan Sentra Altima and Maxima…are they name or wasn’t in Japans line up in the 1990 to 2023? Love my 2002 se Maxima manual super fun heavy car. Love the content amazing cars
I believe those were the names in the Anerican markets only, but I imagine those chassis have their Japanese equivalents

I hope Nissan management can turn things around for the Nissan and Infiniti brands in the U.S. They’ve had amazing to great products within the last 20-40 years but recently lost it with their CVT debacle, interior design being not competitive and Carlos Ghosn drama distraction.
