This phenomenon of people preserving vehicles like this is most common in the USA. The reason is that cars and trucks there are so cheap compared to everywhere else. Americans can afford to buy car and just put it away; where in most other nations cars are double the US price so they get used up and you do not see an F100 like this in Australia where they cost about $10,000 in 1973.
