Seriously sona I have the same mentality. I dont like to call inlaws just for help. People force it upon us and this makes husbands distant from the child and moms. People dont understand this that the husband has to not just pay bills but be there in the struggle and pain. Afterall you married him not his parents . We owe them respect but cant call them for each and everything . I can understand when u said you are more comfortable with your husband.

I agree everything Shona, even I second this thought about making your parents or in laws take care of you or your baby. However, just one thing from my personal experience since I recently gave birth to a baby girl - no matter how much you think you know or have read books or studied about how to take care of a new born - you still get very overwhelmed as a new mother while taking care of your baby. And on top of that the fluctuating hormones that make everything go haywire. In such a case any experienced lady like your mother or MIL come as a blessing and a safety net when during the initial phase of postpartum, you are clueless a lot of times as to what exactly is happening. I could not understand why my baby is crying in the middle of the night and even I used to start crying along with her, my mother being experienced used to calm her and understood some things which I couldn't, even though I had done a thorough research on what to expect after delivery. Dont take it negatively, but its an honest advice. Even I was extremely calm during my entire pregnancy but postpartum was an entirely different story. Dont know what I would have done without my mother. There is no shortcoming in asking for help in the postpartum period particularly as it is one of the most vulnerable times in a woman's life! Wish you all the best for the upcoming bundle of joy and take care .
Trust your body , Trust your mind and trust your baby and choose a right man to be the father of the baby then Pregnancy and postpartum both will be fun and memorable time😇
Very -well explained,you could have been an excellent teacher ,even a gynaecologist wouldn't have been such a patient teacher with a layman. Mere father ne sirf ek din ka retirement dekha tha , that very day when he retired ,he was called to give guest lectures in a reputed school,he worked for 14 years post retirement. He expired today only 7 years back . Absolutely correct meri mummy meri sister ko bedrest kaha tha so mummy ne hi poora dhyan rakkha but literally quite illogical to expect an aged person take care of someone younger. No need to give any explanations for your life to anyone.Don't get offended,may be ,they must have genuinely thought of your in-laws for their moral support but I guess you guys are smart,sorted , systematic people ,I am 43 but you are really a source of inspiration.

Hi Shona .. me and my husband also went through pregnancy and japa on our own with help of a cook and cleaning maid only . I feel good to see you guys are also going with self service . 👌🏼👌🏼Our friends and family questioned us a lot regarding this . But we had a tough time explaining them that we are young healthy couple and can support each other 👍🏼👍🏼

Very well explained. When I was in the US I had called my mother because my husband had to travel a lot. It helped because with the baby an experienced mom knows how to handle things but she left once baby was 10 days old then I managed completely on my own, no massage, no cook, no house help .. Second time in Goa again my mom came but here it was so much easier she just supervised and the help took care of the rest. It was quite easy. She had left again in 10 days of baby being born. I think your decision to go with a nutritionist is excellent . While our ancient home remedies are great, nowadays nutritionists also can advice through home remedies also. Along with required supplements.

I feel good to see you guys are also going with self service . 👌🏼👌🏼Our friends and family questioned us a lot regarding this . But we had a tough time explaining them that we are young healthy couple and can support each other 👍🏼👍🏼

Very well explained. When I was in the US I had called my mother because my husband had to travel a lot. It helped because with the baby an experienced mom knows how to handle things but she left once baby was 10 days old then I managed completely on my own, no massage, no cook, no house help .. Second time in Goa again my mom came but here it was so much easier she just supervised and the help took care of the rest. It was quite easy. She had left again in 10 days of baby being born. I think your decision to go with a nutritionist is excellent . While our ancient home remedies are great, nowadays nutritionists also can advice through home remedies also. Along with required supplements.

Hi shona, mera period cycle 40-50 ka tha par one month yoga karke last period cycle 27 days ka tha and we are trying for baby since 7 months. Meri period August 17 th ko aayi thi aur abhi mujhe kafi symptoms hai pregnancy k but I'm not sure when to check. Kya ap mujhe help out kar sakti ho??❤
