Maybe someone might mention it, but the Boulder that kills the lynel in eow is like the big big boulders that you have to bind to move. There's one west of kakariko and you have to walk to the forest
He didn't even use the Boulder echo. He used the rock. He falsely (heh) labeled a lot of things false after explicitly not doing as the comments he referenced said.
On the second myth, what they are talking about is when you play Zelda's Lullaby on destroyed signs to fix them. You should be able to observe parts from two signs coming together to fix itself.
He didn't even use a boulder. He used a rock. I think the boulder in question is one like the one from the first dungeon that is the source of the Bind tutorial.
9:35 You have to actually talk to Ingo while riding a horse on the second time he lets you ride or later. Z-target him on the horse and talk to him. If it's your second time riding or more, he'll offer to race you. I swear you've missed this before.
A few fun things I found in my years were you can catch an attacking Cuccoo mid-flight in ALTTP for the GBA, can defeat Dark Link with a Broken Goron's Knife by locking on and spaming B in OOT3D can bypass the Puppet Zelda's Deadman's Volley with the Jump Strike hidden skill (if positioned and timed correctly) in TP can use the different boots to change your launch distance from Ganon's attacks (barely any distance with iron boots and sent flying with hover boots) in OOT3D Defeat the Wolfos enemies with a single attack if you strike them directly in their backs in OOT and MM And use Deku Nuts to defeat the Bubbles in Jabu Jabu, reveal the Po Sisters when they go invisible, and detatch the bubbles on Wart in OOT3D and MM3D
Except even if you were to equip the hookshot as child you can't use it properly (link freezes, etc..) it's more hardcoded stuff that needs to be modified in order for it to work - but yes I do vaguely remember seeing someone hookshotting the root of a peahat and it kinda floating upwards then exploding (I think?)
6:30 That's a rock, not a boulder. Also, the comment says "Bind one of those giant boulders(not an echo)" and you just summoned an echo! Might want to try that one again.
There is also an extremely annoying mechanic where Link has practically no limit in OoT and MM when it comes to stun-based damage. You can get hit by a Redead scream, then pounced by a second redead, be blown up, hit by an enemy with a weapon, AND consumed by a Likelike. I once watched for 3min while Link was stun-locked til I nearly died.
Peehat can be killed with the hookshot in ocarina of time. If you're playing a randomizer and it's set for you to use any items no matter the age it will work
@Fiddlezor lol! I was floored when I found out! I panicked in randomizer run as kid link and shot it with the hook shot as a last ditch effort 👌 worked like a charm
You can definitely race Ingo on the normal horse, I remember as a kid not knowing I had to get Epona, and trying over and over to win with the normal horse which I later learnt is impossible
Just before you enter the maze at the front of the forest temple in ocarina, you can place bombs on the ground to find a cave. Will show you the most psychedelic cave with weird patterns. It's so cool.
Hahah i guess i actually was wrong this time Redeads not reviving each other but Thanks for the Mention DOC👌🏾 love the myths I'll still look for some more glitches or Myths to be busted
It's weird, I swear I remember then kneeling in front of dead ones after walking over to them. I always thought they were meant to be cannibalizing the corpse.
Dunno if I already talked about this or not, But by backflipping over mido as an adult in OoT, Guiding him to the edge of the log closer to the zora’s domain shortcut, And playing saria’s song, You can discover that mido is actually god, As he will forget to turn on his earthly concept of gravity and start hovering in the air.
9:36 - I think you have to talk to Ingo riding the standard Horse (the horse that Ingo rides during the race simply uses the same model so they aren't actually the same horse)! I do remember racing him while riding on the standard horse but you can't beat him! Not sure if it works in the 3DS version or not!
1. I had to replay it on the switch(no cheats), but you can get the 3 hearts in the Gerudo Pirates fortress on Majora's Mask. You have to jump at it at an angle where the rail begins. 2. Romani is there on day 2 just further out in the ranch by the patch of grass and Gossip stone.
In regards to Romani spawning you can find her next to a grass patch on the other side of the ranch away from the house in the second day I've found her myself so this claim is in fact true.
About that myth regarding Romani, I think I remember seeing her wandering around the left area of the ranch, but it was actually during the second day, not the night. Also, I think I heard that the mushroom spores in Skyward Sword will also change the color of a Rupee.
She was on the right side of the ranch. I didn't know she could walk after being lobotomized. Edit: I think her location changes. She wasn't in the exact same spot when I reentered the area.
One trick in Zelda Ocarina of time with the Wall Masters is, when their shadow is under you and you hear it's sound, do a backflip and it'll leave you alone as well
@@jyin475 You're thinking of the location of the only Peahat in Majora's Mask. The one Wily tried to use as a compromise but failed because of course this would be corrected in Majora's Mask. This only works in Ocarina of Time because there was no need to look into any correcting of the Hookshot's interaction with the Peahat enemy.
Hey Dr. Wily! 😁 I have 2 things for you to try in Majoras Mask: 1.) If you claim the bottle in Kafei's quest by bringing the letter into the milk bar (yes, you can enter the milk bar at this time without romani's mask) BEFORE you claim your first bottle in the swamp from Kotake, the game thinks, you allready got the swamp-bottle. This results in Kotake only refilling your existing bottle, so you will never be able to get this bottle in your playthrough. (I only tested this in the 3DS-remaster.) 2.) Not sure, if you allready did this, but there is a bug in the original N64-version, where you can roll into Sakon's hideout in the canyon, when it's closed. You have to roll against the crack between the door and the rock (on the right side) in a specific angle. It will take a few attempts to find the right angle, but if you magage to do it, you will be inside the hideout and the time will jump to the night of the third day. A great bug, if you messed up getting the sun-mask and want to try again without redoing the whole questline. (This only worked for me in the N64-version. I couldn't get it done in the remaster.)
first one will be a too time consuming to test, need a very specific point in the game after all, still cool though, second thing has been covered in an older video i think
The "boulder" you were dropping on the Lynell was only a rock. A Boulder is as large as 2 rocks stacked and won't float in water Also, I'm curious about this: Is it possible to obtain Fairy Bow in OoT as a child? I know normally you obtain it as an adult in Forest Temple, but can it be done?
im curious with the wall masters in oot what other things can you use to interrupt them? deku nut right before it grabs? perhaps spin slash works just as well as jump slash! what about din’s fire or one of the other two magics?
7:46 Probably also one of the most realistic reactions. Link creeped her out so Parcy tries to get back at him by making fun of his height - or lack thereof.
Here is an OoT myth (im reposting this myth since i posted this one quite some time ago in an older video. Also, i added an information i forgot to put in the original comment): If you use glitches or cheats do clip under the town square, there is an unused NPC just standing there. For some reason he is facing opposite ways in adult and child link time.
In OOT, you can use the Ice Arrows to freeze many things people don't know about. Since you get them later in the game (by sequence), not many tricks are known. The obvious is freezing Bongo Bongo's hand and he'll try to comically punch it unfreeze it. A lesser known trick is you can freeze the moving spikes to make traversing easier! Try it in the water temple (room with little hill up to the boss room). You can also do this in Ganon's Castle trail rooms and the spirit temple effectively. I've also heard they're quite useful against Volvanga! But this I'm unsure about.
i'm guessing the dev order for OoT based on how the medallions appear on screen. and some Navi hints might have been Spirit before Shadow temple. but since a lot of people do shadow before spirit it leave the ice arrows kinda useless.
There's a glitch the Wii version of Twilight Princess which causes the title screen to become playable. I can't remember the exact steps to do it but it's something like sinking into the sand in the Arbitor's Ground, press the home button just before Link's fingers go beneath the sand and selectin the option to reset the game so you return to the title screen. Due to Link sinking into the sand, the game to loads Link into the title screen and you can play in the loaded world.
Idk about winning the race with other horses in N64 OoT but you can race with them they just dont have any carrots. but you can also skip the race all together by moonjumping over one of the walls you're supposed to jump with epona
Here's some myths for you: 1. In Ocarina of Time it is possible to hit the father in the house of Skulltala and if you do he'll refuse to talk to you again. 2. In Oracle of Seasons after destroying the Great Moblin's hideout you can find him in the sunken city. There you can blow up his house, if you do it multiple times, the house will rebuilt a little shottier each time and the Great Moblin's dialog will grow increasingly sadder. 3.In Wind Waker if you visit the Forsaken Fortress after Valoo attacks Ganondorf, you will discover it's not completely abandoned. Miniblins can still be found there. 4. In Majora's Mask if Takkuri steals your bottle and you travel back in time, you can never get that bottle back.
naaah you were using the wrong way down, the one I was refering to is the narrow one next to the school and you really have to push them, it's really tricky to do but I'll try to get some footage of it sometimes
Did you know the BotW Lynels can teleport? Never tried it with the TotK ones, but the BotW ones will teleport if they get stuck on geometry, get too far from their spawn home, or if you're if you're slightly out of reach for them. Best way to test this is the Ploymus Mountain Lynel. Walking down the hill a little bit should antagonize the Lynel into teleporting, especially if you keep making eye contact. Speaking of which, the Lynels do not like being looked at through the Sheikah Slate. It will automatically catch their attention, and they'll come your way to attack.
I had it happen once in the Depths when it likely wouldn't be able to return to its original spot. It was either a cliff or a slope too steep for it to naturally cross.
The second one you have to destroy the signs and play the lullaby is what they meant..since the lullaby fixes signs(so im guessing thats how you see two sign on top of each other)
Romani is there during the second day, not the night. Also, the comment was wrong about her location. She walks in a big circle throughout the second day, but the closest she gets to the house is the path that cuts straight through the ranch from the entrance to the back.
@@drwily She roams the far side of the ranch from the house. The side of the map that's on the left when entering from Milk Road. Her route takes her around the big fence that bisects the map alongside the path I mentioned.
It's *still* weird that while nothing was said of the original Thunder Helm's status, the reactions to the copy raises some weird questions. No Gerudo will make a peep about it, but their muttering in the form of speech bubbles if they see you wearing it makes it seem like it: a. got destroyed, b. disappeared, or c. was stored away. Riju goes "That helm...", but talking to her with it on reveals nothing. It's like no non-Yiga can or will discuss it.
Hey Doc, thanks for testing the leevers, and sorry it didn't pan out. I appreciate it, as well as the rest of your content. That said, while you can't roast cucco in BOTW/TOTK, I'm pretty sure they will die if thrown into lava... or did I dream it? And I can't remember the details exactly, but in LoZ on the NES, bombs have a certain quality against darknuts. It's either when placing the bomb, or when the bomb explodes, if you are facing any direction except towards the darknut, the bomb will pass through the shield and make these tough enemies just a bit more manageable. (If you've already covered either/both of these tricks, then I'm sorry I couldn't help this time, but I will still look forward to future content.)
Appreciate being part of the myths in this also mad respect for not trying to pronounce my name lol but to be able to do so correctly it's Ick-El-Os and I can get you more footage of the other myths i claimed for you to use as well
any myths or things i should feature just let me know, also i dont even try to pronounce some names because while the comment section is filled with your biggest fans they are also your biggest critics
-Pulling off the Fierce Deity Glitch is difficult in the N64 version. -I think Ocarina of Time also has an inaccessible Heart Piece. -WHERE ARE YOUR CLOTHES?! GET AWAY FROM ME, YOU CREEP! People will also be creeped out if you approach them in the Tingle outfit. I don't know know if there's any dialogue for this outfit. Here's some friendly advice-don't wake up strangers when you're not wearing clothes, you little creep. I'm not going to make love to you. -I don't know why you would wait to get the Adult Wallet when you can literally get it in the first cycle. -I didn't know Redeads reacted to their dead allies. -I saw the forest maze scarecrow trick in an old playthrough. -14:51 Why did you repeat yourself? -Romani isn't around on day 2? I don't think I actually checked this.
the repeat was actually a double line, normally i edit the voice over and than kotlol edits it, so two sets of eyes or in this case ears go over it but apperantly we missed this which is like ultra rare lmao
If you drink a gallon of Mountain Dew and 12 cans of red bull for three straight days and play any Zelda game the whole time, you can actually see Dr. Wily!!!
A funny glitch can be found only at Death Mountain with the wall crawling Skulltulas on the cliff leading to the volcano entrance. If you strike the ground/wall near the wall they crawl with the Hammer it instakills them, but if you repeatedly strike the ground AFTER they land next to you they infinitely bounce and die over and over; it may take a couple tries to get the rhythm right. Also I recently used the Longshot and completely by accident learned you can go through the ceiling in the Gerudo Training Grounds and reach the chest located in the only room in the fenced ceiling(via targeting the chest); could be worth testing if it also works horizontally?
Princess Ruto can eliminate most aquatic creatures in OHKO. But in OoT in Water Dungeons, Link himself can fight well in the Adult and Child Eras. Deku nuts paralyze and momentarily remove the electricity from enemies. Charged Spin Attack works for OHKO as well. And curiously, the shell-shaped enemy, the Shell Blade, is affected by Child Link's horizontal slash attacks. At first, it will receive the attack and close the shell. But the next similar strike you make, will kill the creature! It is very useful when you don't have the Boomerang yet. In these cases, Adult Link can more easily land a Thrust Attack. But I don't recommend this for rooms full of mobs. I recommend Din's Fire or Fire Arrow for quick OHKOs on those waves of aquatic creatures.
Those out-of-bounds hearts in the Pirates' Fortress might be inaccessible, but I know of a few in Tri Force Heroes that are hidden inside walls/platforms and can be reached with the Spin Attack. In stage 4 of the first level, Deku Forest, there's a slightly elevated platform on each side of the room with grass on top. The one on the right also has a layer of grass inside it, so you can sometimes get more Rupees or hearts. (Try using some of the outfits that increase their drop rates.) In the second stage of the second level, Buzz Blob Cave, you start on a raised ground, head left, then drop down to where you fight some Blobs. The little wall exactly where you drop down has a heart hidden inside it. The fourth stage where you fight the Electric Blob King also has something inside the wall, but I forget exactly what and where. I'm not talking about the hidden Red Rupee where you walk through the little path on the back-right of the cave, but an actual out-of-bounds item somewhere very close to there. In stage 3 of The Lady's Lair, directly after the two tightropes, there are a couple platforms with a treasure chest at the top. The bottom platform has a hidden jar inside it, so again, you can sometimes get a heart or Rupees. And grrrr, arrgh, I had another one, but I've completely spaced on where it was. I'll edit when it comes back to me.
Doc, I'm telling you, I've done this one! Slowly (very.....VERY..........SLOOOOWLY) pull up the left side of your Ocarina of Time cartridge until the game seems to freeze. After a few moments, a yellow bar will appear toward the top of the screen. Then do the following: Hold L, then R, then Z, then release. Hold Up on D-pad, then C-Down, then release. Hold C-Up, then Down on D-pad, then release. Hold Left on D-pad, then C-left, then release. Hold C-Right, then Right on D-pad, then release. Hold A, then B, then Start, then release. If you did it right, your secret admirer will tell you, "I love you"!
@babdreemer You see, back in the day, people would put a physical cartridge with a ROM chip into a physical video game console known as the Nintendo 64 and that is how we would play video games. Unfortunately, it seems the doctor plays ocarina of Time via emulation, so he'll probably never get to experience this bizarre quirk of the original software, but those of us who were messing with ocarina of Time back in the early thousands had the pleasure.
That last one I figured was a no go. I’ve seen videos where they use upside down homing carts as a conveyor belt and the ice throwers to make an egg farming device.
I mean just because it didnt work in MM doesnt mean it doesnt work in OOT....peahats are literally all over hyrule field(literally one to the left as you come out the forest/finish talking to the owl for the first time)..just need to mod urself and see if it works
1:31 The only signs that react to Zelda's Lullaby are the ones that are destructible because the song fixes them. Arrow signs aren't destructible, and thus, don't react to the song. If there's a double stacked sign in Death Mountain Crater that reacts to Zelda's Lullaby, then it would have to be one with two rows of text on it.
Thanks! For the mention again but I have another claim In Majora's mask, when you go the observatory and look through the Telescope long enough you can find a Giant Guay that show up and drop big red Rupees in field, Also If you talk to Sakon in ikana canyon he'll have different reactions with your other forms and just run away and de-spawning him too
Ooh! The one about the kids on Windfall Island (so-called Killer Bees) is true! You have to lead them to the other path, next to the staircase on the right side of the Sploosh-Kaboom shop. When one of them gets between you and the path nudge them down the path, but make sure they touching the outside wall of the staircase. That's where the void swallows them. On the topic of strange bugs in Wind Waker (GC version) , there is one that I had encountered sailing Northeast from Tingle Island to Windfall Island. If you sail through the corner of the squares from Tingle Island to Windfall Island, the game acts as if it's triggering a cutscene, but since there is no cutscene to trigger it just opens with the camera facing Link staring out the side of the boat. It doesn't happen every time, but I'd say it happens often enough to be annoying.
i tried to do this with the killer bees but wasnt really able to, again they kept running around and circling me, also screenshotting for the second one
For the Ingo's Horse one I actually did win once during the race against Ingo on N64 version 1.1 and it might be doable in the 3DS version of the game considering how you could actually unload Ingo during the race by waiting a bit and he actually despawns. Now he does not do this in the N64 version I have tried even without the expansion pak as i do play MM every now and then however it's a really interesting thing that Grezzo managed to mess up somehow, also you don't need to jump over the fences to trigger the race just go up to Ingo during a second riding session and talk to him while on a horse to trigger it. And if you need to jump over the fence to trigger it just use Epona then during the second thing where you ask him to race use his horse, as if it can't happen normally it is probably a flag tied to Epona however i don't remember if you can actually escape with it after you beat Ingo in the races
@@drwily The only advice I can give you about that is you might have to reinstall it after making sure it is completely off of your computer. I honestly do not know what caused your Citra to bug out like that
The last myth with the Cucco is partly true - you CAN kill a Cucco. You can even infinitely do it lol There's a side quest for one of the stables where you have to collect Cuccos, and one of them spawns on a small island. If that Cucco gets lost or dies - like touching the water in the river - it respawns on that island. So, if you position a Zonai platform just right to where it blocks the Cucco from respawning normally, it'll fall into the river as soon as it respawns and will do this infinitely. I have a video on my phone, but no idea how id upload it
In the windwaker there is a secret crawl tunnel in the Dragon Roost dungeon behind the moveable blocks that you need to move from the wall and then climb. (Before the dark room with a lot of bats) There is also a unique animation if you stand on a crack on the mountain that spews hot air. If you are holding a pot, it will spin in the air and land in a random position on the ground without breaking.
It's kind of weird, but Goat Butter spawns in the Gerudo Spa in TotK. These stop respawning after holding a certain amount in your inventory, and it'll still take awhile to get both sticks to reappear but you technically never need to buy butter. You can also find oil jars in the same area.
Yes, and you can still get the oil (and I think butter) after the spa relocates to the surface level of town. This is, of course, because they use butter and oil for your massage.
There's a glitch in Skyward Sword that allows you to glide through quicksand, conserving your stamina and crossing much larger areas of sand than simply sprinting would allow.
In the death mountain it has to be a sign you can cut to pieces that's why you have to use Zelda's lullaby otherwise you would not be able to tell there were two signs 2:00 I don't think they were messing with you after I'm done with the video I will go into ocarina of Time and search myself with the parameters that I've created
@@drwilyInterestingly, there is a sign in front of Goron's City in the Child Era only, which can be cut. But in the Adult Era... the sign is replaced by one that never breaks! You could test something in the past or future with this. By the way, it has already been mentioned that some signs increase in height when Link grows up. But I imagine that there must be more signs that change properties like the one at the entrance to Goron's City. Let's look for it! lol
peehats die instantly when they getting hit with the hookshot in oot, for that you just have to equip swap to use the hookshot as a child, just tested it cause of that and it worked
Not sure if nintendo patched it out but you used to be able to trap lipnels with stuff you fused from shrines and the zonai body factory from the depths. Another secret is there is alternate dialog if you get Mineru early before you are given the quest. I was hunting for a glitch and I found this out
I tackled the other myths I claimed in my previous video, recorded the footage, and combined the two. I used Naryu's Love and the Hookshot on the Like Likes and ReDeads. I also did a video on using Naryu's Love to keep Wall Masters and Floor Masters from grabbing Link. My last videos show off the last two Poe Sisters: the green one. I stood beneath the blocks that fall, solved the puzzle, then used the Hookshot to beat the fourth Poe Sister.
@luan-fg6pk appreciate that I personally never had issues with any of the enemies in this game i was just inspired to test some things for Dr. Will and record them for him to use to make his life a bit easier
@@IcelosPhobetor Yes, it's really cool to share knowledge about the game. And sometimes this encounter with enemies is easy to face in the original vanilla game, but it becomes a great help in high difficulty mods. Thanks to everyone who shares knowledge~
I play Ship of Harkinian and with the enemy randomizer, hookshot does in fact 1 shot pea hats, I also turn off age restrictions so I can use any item in any timeline. Long story short: Yes the hookshot does in fact 1 shot peahats specifically in OoT
I recall playing Oot up until the forest temple where you get the fairy bow, then I left & just went on to do other temples before returning to do the forest temple, I definitely did the fire temple before forest temple but as for the order of the rest.... its been years but pretty sure you can get the forest medallion last instead of the spirit one. Could try this on you're own just get the fairy bow then see how far you can get before you'll need to clear it 👍
You can technically beat Ingo without Epona in the 3DS version. To do this just wait until Ingo is out of sight when you race him. I think he despawns at some point. Once you finish the race, you win but Epona is suddenly in your possession after that even though you didn't ride her. I saw a glitch video of Wind Waker that shows the kids clipping out of bounds. You probably didn't do it right.
@drwily alright here's a partial update. After trying to trigger the race with Ingo's horse for 20 minutes I could not trigger it. So I rode Epona for two rounds to trigger the race dialogue but did not speak with Ingo. I then switched horses and raced Ingo with his own horse. 500 rupees later, I have not beaten him at the first race. I did take two clips from my Nintendo Switch if you want them. My memory of pushing against his horse until I passed him seems to be false. While racing he would remain the same pace in front of me, even when I would try to gallop and speed ahead. I do intend to keep trying a few more times though(just need to replenish my rupees). While attempting this I did learn something new though that makes sense logically, but I never thought to try it before. Fun fact: if you try to approach Epona without playing her song, she runs away and won't let you ride her.
Final update(I give up): I replenished my rupees and made a suspend point this time. I could not beat Ingo with his own horse. It is probably coded so you cannot beat him with his own horse. I did make an observation though. All of the fences around Lon Lon Rance that you would use to escape are the same height as the taller fence in the pasture, which as you recall, Ingo's horse cannot jump over. So even if it was possible to win the races with Ingo's horse, you wouldn't be able to escape from Lon Lon Ranch. (Potential softlock?)
so i noticed something one day while watching a OoT randomizer. i noticed that underneath the dodongo skull in the main room, there is a small flow of magma or lava coming from underneath. i wonder if there is something behind that small passage. the main thing i want to know, is if that part of the map is programmed to give damage or is there lava that doesnt hurt you? cheating will most likely be required to investigate.
I actually have a question about a possible difference between gamecube Twilight Princess and the Wii version. I used to play the gamecube version but had the walkthrough for the Wii which said that only the normal bombs could be used as bomb arrows. However in the gamecube version you can use any of the three bomb types as bomb arrows. So I am wondering if that is another difference between consoles and if so what about the Wii U version
Wait, wait, WAIT! When asked about glitches and exploits in the 3D remakes of Ocarina, developers said they saw no problem leaving them in the remakes, especially if they were fun for players There's evidence of old glitches being left in Majora's Mask 3D, such as Epona in Clock Town. Does anyone know if that Zora Spam trick works in the remake? Because I feel like it should work, right?
not sure, tbh the 3ds remakes are weird they did actually patch a lot of tricks and glitches which led to completely new ones, watch this speedrun if you want to know more and see cool stuff ua-cam.com/video/-zHhOJbVVnU/v-deo.html
What happens if you shoot at the sheep, goat, and cow livestock in village areas? Do they die? I really do not want to do it myself, but I am slightly curious....and as much as I hate to say it, also....the dogs.....I just can't bring myself to try it, so I want to make someone else do it for me
The dialogue along characters does reveal some of their names, or referenced within the pantheon of Super Smash Bros along Brawl + Wii U. This also occurs within some other Zelda Games as well.
@drwily yeah maybe the hookshot has different properties in mm, but i remember killing them in the oot rom hack ultimate trial. On a side note it's an amazing rom hack 10/10 ign
It also works in the New Master Quest mod. And Majoras Mask changes some monster properties. For example, you can't burn Gibdo's bandages in OoT but you can in Majoras Mask, revealing a Redead.
first, i think that your thinking of commonwealth realm, he is from norway i am from the netherlands hahaha also second not sure why the kokiri outfit lines up so well with the heros tunic, dont think nintendo kept this in mind tbh lmao
@drwily ah well that's embarrassing haha I remember seeing one of you were from Norway, but I guessed wrong lol. But thanks for answering my question regardless. Chalk it up to one of those Zelda mysteries!
To get the sign to react to Zelda’s lullaby you’ve got to chop it up first then playing Zelda’s lullaby will magically repair it seriously I know because me and my friend used to do this all the time when we were kids
Some comments about Ocarina of time: 1. The ReDeads don’t get close to the fallen ones to revive them but to eat them. 2. Just like the stalchildren, if you keep killing guays, a giant one will spawn. 3. Haven’t you found the forest stage yet? You’ll make me play OoT again just to record that section.
Is it time for a video that re-visits the myths you didn't properly test? I see a lot of comments explaining how to correctly test a myth that you claimed was "False." lol
There's a way of making the Yoshi on the top of the castle in Super Mario 64 fall off the roof and if you speak with him on the last frame when he starts falling the game will softlock because he will be walking against the castle wall and will be unable to reach the spot where he jumps in the waterfall. Although it's pretty difficult to make him fall. Here's a video performing the glitch ua-cam.com/video/3UDDdbXaGx0/v-deo.htmlsi=AzSHqFx_eG6yOCqS
Maybe someone might mention it, but the Boulder that kills the lynel in eow is like the big big boulders that you have to bind to move. There's one west of kakariko and you have to walk to the forest
This. Like the original prompt suggested, "NOT AN ECHO". Can't say whether it works or not, but it's funny Wily missed that part.
He didn't even use the Boulder echo. He used the rock. He falsely (heh) labeled a lot of things false after explicitly not doing as the comments he referenced said.
sure will try
6:30 I think it's worth pointing out that they said boulder, not rock. Second, they said "not an Echo"
yeah messed that up, i read over that so gonna revisit it
On the second myth, what they are talking about is when you play Zelda's Lullaby on destroyed signs to fix them. You should be able to observe parts from two signs coming together to fix itself.
yeah gonna redo that
For the boulder and the Lyonel, you need to use the large one, not the small one... not that size should matter, but in this case, it kinda does.
The person also said not to use an echo too
He didn't even use a boulder. He used a rock. I think the boulder in question is one like the one from the first dungeon that is the source of the Bind tutorial.
redoing it
The Hookshot does kill the Peahat in one shot in OoT. Yes, you have to use exploits to do it though.
gonna check it again
9:35 You have to actually talk to Ingo while riding a horse on the second time he lets you ride or later. Z-target him on the horse and talk to him. If it's your second time riding or more, he'll offer to race you. I swear you've missed this before.
yeah i wanted to do that but citra refuses to boot and i got the save file on there, i tried everything even redownloading the whole emu but nope
A few fun things I found in my years were you can
catch an attacking Cuccoo mid-flight in ALTTP for the GBA,
can defeat Dark Link with a Broken Goron's Knife by locking on and spaming B in OOT3D
can bypass the Puppet Zelda's Deadman's Volley with the Jump Strike hidden skill (if positioned and timed correctly) in TP
can use the different boots to change your launch distance from Ganon's attacks (barely any distance with iron boots and sent flying with hover boots) in OOT3D
Defeat the Wolfos enemies with a single attack if you strike them directly in their backs in OOT and MM
And use Deku Nuts to defeat the Bubbles in Jabu Jabu, reveal the Po Sisters when they go invisible, and detatch the bubbles on Wart in OOT3D and MM3D
0:55 yes you can use the hookshot as a child. you need to perform the item swap glitch. this allows kid link to use adult items and vice versa.
@ryanstaines9555 i believe thats the case of the hardware versions. The emulated randomizers kinda fixed it.
this will be redone
6:30 That's a rock, not a boulder. Also, the comment says "Bind one of those giant boulders(not an echo)" and you just summoned an echo! Might want to try that one again.
yeah i read over that echo part so redoing it
There is also an extremely annoying mechanic where Link has practically no limit in OoT and MM when it comes to stun-based damage. You can get hit by a Redead scream, then pounced by a second redead, be blown up, hit by an enemy with a weapon, AND consumed by a Likelike. I once watched for 3min while Link was stun-locked til I nearly died.
lmao never seen that tbh but crazy
Peehat can be killed with the hookshot in ocarina of time. If you're playing a randomizer and it's set for you to use any items no matter the age it will work
yea , ageless items or equip swap work to test it, for whatever reason peehats are coded like this in oot and thats a true fact
@Fiddlezor lol! I was floored when I found out! I panicked in randomizer run as kid link and shot it with the hook shot as a last ditch effort 👌 worked like a charm
will redo this
You can definitely race Ingo on the normal horse, I remember as a kid not knowing I had to get Epona, and trying over and over to win with the normal horse which I later learnt is impossible
Just before you enter the maze at the front of the forest temple in ocarina, you can place bombs on the ground to find a cave. Will show you the most psychedelic cave with weird patterns. It's so cool.
The total opposite in vibe is found in a similarly hidden hole in Kakariko near the big tree.
Hahah i guess i actually was wrong this time Redeads not reviving each other but Thanks for the Mention DOC👌🏾 love the myths I'll still look for some more glitches or Myths to be busted
ive alwas thought that ReDead animation was them mourning their fallen ReDead
I thought I seen another video of them reviving too
@@sirmnrt The only ReDead type enemies that revive in the N64 Zeldas are the Gibdos in the Ikana Well.
It's weird, I swear I remember then kneeling in front of dead ones after walking over to them. I always thought they were meant to be cannibalizing the corpse.
yeah if you got anything just let me know!

I checked and I did not see her. Is there a specific time on Day 2 that she is there?
@zachtwilightwindwaker596 she's there first thing in the morning on day 2.
@@GamestLink I thought you were talking about the Gossip Stone outside the ranch. I didn't realize there was another one there.
yeah gonna retry the second one
In regards to Romani spawning you can find her next to a grass patch on the other side of the ranch away from the house in the second day I've found her myself so this claim is in fact true.
The only thing worth noting about the big Purple Leever is that after you kill it Leevers stop appearing entirely for a few minutes.
oh snap didnt really notice this happening myself
About that myth regarding Romani, I think I remember seeing her wandering around the left area of the ranch, but it was actually during the second day, not the night.
Also, I think I heard that the mushroom spores in Skyward Sword will also change the color of a Rupee.
She was on the right side of the ranch. I didn't know she could walk after being lobotomized.
Edit: I think her location changes. She wasn't in the exact same spot when I reentered the area.
@zachtwilightwindwaker596 I'm pretty sure she wanders a set path throughout the second day, like anyone else with a set schedule in this game.
yeah gonna retry the romani one
One trick in Zelda Ocarina of time with the Wall Masters is, when their shadow is under you and you hear it's sound, do a backflip and it'll leave you alone as well
sick!
Regarding the Hookshot and the Peahats. In the Ultimate Trial mod Peahats go down instantly by the hookshot.
I believe in ocarina of time there's a hidden grotto with a peahat for adult link
it works also in the normal oot version, you just have to equip swap for it to use the hookshot as a child
Or add the Ageless Items mod
@@jyin475 You're thinking of the location of the only Peahat in Majora's Mask. The one Wily tried to use as a compromise but failed because of course this would be corrected in Majora's Mask. This only works in Ocarina of Time because there was no need to look into any correcting of the Hookshot's interaction with the Peahat enemy.
yeah gonna redo that one
Hey Dr. Wily! 😁
I have 2 things for you to try in Majoras Mask:
1.) If you claim the bottle in Kafei's quest by bringing the letter into the milk bar (yes, you can enter the milk bar at this time without romani's mask) BEFORE you claim your first bottle in the swamp from Kotake, the game thinks, you allready got the swamp-bottle. This results in Kotake only refilling your existing bottle, so you will never be able to get this bottle in your playthrough.
(I only tested this in the 3DS-remaster.)
2.) Not sure, if you allready did this, but there is a bug in the original N64-version, where you can roll into Sakon's hideout in the canyon, when it's closed.
A Boulder is as large as 2 rocks stacked and won't float in water
Also, I'm curious about this: Is it possible to obtain Fairy Bow in OoT as a child? I know normally you obtain it as an adult in Forest Temple, but can it be done?
screenshotting for the second, and maybe first
im curious with the wall masters in oot what other things can you use to interrupt them? deku nut right before it grabs? perhaps spin slash works just as well as jump slash! what about din’s fire or one of the other two magics?
7:46 Probably also one of the most realistic reactions.
Link creeped her out so Parcy tries to get back at him by making fun of his height - or lack thereof.
Re: that last myth, I didn't realize TotK had Kakariko Fried Cucco 🤣
Here is an OoT myth (im reposting this myth since i posted this one quite some time ago in an older video. Also, i added an information i forgot to put in the original comment): If you use glitches or cheats do clip under the town square, there is an unused NPC just standing there. For some reason he is facing opposite ways in adult and child link time.
screenshotting this again
In OOT, you can use the Ice Arrows to freeze many things people don't know about. Since you get them later in the game (by sequence), not many tricks are known.
The obvious is freezing Bongo Bongo's hand and he'll try to comically punch it unfreeze it.
A lesser known trick is you can freeze the moving spikes to make traversing easier! Try it in the water temple (room with little hill up to the boss room). You can also do this in Ganon's Castle trail rooms and the spirit temple effectively.
I've also heard they're quite useful against Volvanga! But this I'm unsure about.
i'm guessing the dev order for OoT based on how the medallions appear on screen. and some Navi hints might have been Spirit before Shadow temple. but since a lot of people do shadow before spirit it leave the ice arrows kinda useless.
i tried these but still good suggestions!
Due to Link sinking into the sand, the game to loads Link into the title screen and you can play in the loaded world.
screenshotting this because i have actually seen this before
Idk about winning the race with other horses in N64 OoT but you can race with them they just dont have any carrots. but you can also skip the race all together by moonjumping over one of the walls you're supposed to jump with epona
true, the moonjump trick is espcially fun and effective
Here's some myths for you:
There's a glitch video that shows this. He needs to do more research before claiming this myth is false.
@zachtwilightwindwaker596 there is? Didn't know, I discovered that one myself ages ago ^^"
i try every myth, google it, and research it on yt, soooooo not sure what else i can do, and my editor also chimes in
also i tried what you suggested here, same problem, they kept circling which prevented pushing and refused to follow me
i did finally find the video though so i guess you can do it but the technique required is quite different from what you said
Did you know the BotW Lynels can teleport? Never tried it with the TotK ones, but the BotW ones will teleport if they get stuck on geometry, get too far from their spawn home, or if you're if you're slightly out of reach for them. Best way to test this is the Ploymus Mountain Lynel. Walking down the hill a little bit should antagonize the Lynel into teleporting, especially if you keep making eye contact. Speaking of which, the Lynels do not like being looked at through the Sheikah Slate. It will automatically catch their attention, and they'll come your way to attack.
screenshotted!
Yes! I freaked out when that happened to me in TOTK. I think it was in Risoka Snowfield.
I had it happen once in the Depths when it likely wouldn't be able to return to its original spot. It was either a cliff or a slope too steep for it to naturally cross.
The second one you have to destroy the signs and play the lullaby is what they meant..since the lullaby fixes signs(so im guessing thats how you see two sign on top of each other)
i guess?
those boulders look like echoes? and not binded?
yeah they were echoes
I remember discovering all the weird Out of Bounds stuff in Perfect Dark, that rabbit-hole was huge.
Romani is there during the second day, not the night. Also, the comment was wrong about her location. She walks in a big circle throughout the second day, but the closest she gets to the house is the path that cuts straight through the ranch from the entrance to the back.
will check again
@@drwily She roams the far side of the ranch from the house. The side of the map that's on the left when entering from Milk Road. Her route takes her around the big fence that bisects the map alongside the path I mentioned.
Someone has probably mentioned in, but even though the Leevers don't get any bigger, the Guays (crows) in the same area do.
yeah we looked at the guays already, but still good suggestion
(If you've already covered either/both of these tricks, then I'm sorry I couldn't help this time, but I will still look forward to future content.)
well i mean not every myth is true after all, also gonna try that cucco one for sure so i am screenshotting this
Appreciate being part of the myths in this also mad respect for not trying to pronounce my name lol but to be able to do so correctly it's Ick-El-Os and I can get you more footage of the other myths i claimed for you to use as well
any myths or things i should feature just let me know, also i dont even try to pronounce some names because while the comment section is filled with your biggest fans they are also your biggest critics
@drwily definitely hear that man but at least this fan isn't a critic I just help you by recording the myths i mentioned lol
Here's a myth about Mario 64: You can't die to the slow quicksand outside the pyramid in shifting sand land.
@@zachtwilightwindwaker596 Is that heart piece the one above the awning in Gerudo Fortress?
the repeat was actually a double line, normally i edit the voice over and than kotlol edits it, so two sets of eyes or in this case ears go over it but apperantly we missed this which is like ultra rare lmao
If you drink a gallon of Mountain Dew and 12 cans of red bull for three straight days and play any Zelda game the whole time, you can actually see Dr. Wily!!!
true!
Thank you for taking my suggestion to consideration
no prob :)
Man, Arbiter's Grounds is such a cool dungeon, it still amazes me every time I go through it ✨✨
tbh one of the best and spookiest
Man, Majora's Mask is so dark, thinking about Romani Ranch and how devastated they are :O Great game!
Kind of shocking that we've gotten through so many of these videos and this is the first time that the Gibdos grieving each other has come up
yeah sometimes it can take a while hahhaha
A funny glitch can be found only at Death Mountain with the wall crawling Skulltulas on the cliff leading to the volcano entrance. If you strike the ground/wall near the wall they crawl with the Hammer it instakills them, but if you repeatedly strike the ground AFTER they land next to you they infinitely bounce and die over and over; it may take a couple tries to get the rhythm right.
Also I recently used the Longshot and completely by accident learned you can go through the ceiling in the Gerudo Training Grounds and reach the chest located in the only room in the fenced ceiling(via targeting the chest); could be worth testing if it also works horizontally?
screenshotting this!
(Try using some of the outfits that increase their drop rates.)
In the second stage of the second level, Buzz Blob Cave, you start on a raised ground, head left, then drop down to where you fight some Blobs.
I'll edit when it comes back to me.
sadly enough i dont really own a copy of triforce heroes, and no offence but my interest in the game is super low lmao, good suggestions though!
Any future plans to try out Minish Cap?
?
@babdreemer You see, back in the day, people would put a physical cartridge with a ROM chip into a physical video game console known as the Nintendo 64 and that is how we would play video games. Unfortunately, it seems the doctor plays ocarina of Time via emulation, so he'll probably never get to experience this bizarre quirk of the original software, but those of us who were messing with ocarina of Time back in the early thousands had the pleasure.
lmao
That last one I figured was a no go.
I’ve seen videos where they use upside down homing carts as a conveyor belt and the ice throwers to make an egg farming device.
I mean just because it didnt work in MM doesnt mean it doesnt work in OOT....peahats are literally all over hyrule field(literally one to the left as you come out the forest/finish talking to the owl for the first time)..just need to mod urself and see if it works
could try it but the engine and physics for the game are the exact same so doubt it
1:31 The only signs that react to Zelda's Lullaby are the ones that are destructible because the song fixes them. Arrow signs aren't destructible, and thus, don't react to the song. If there's a double stacked sign in Death Mountain Crater that reacts to Zelda's Lullaby, then it would have to be one with two rows of text on it.
double checking it
Hey, I have been wondering about Echoes of Wisdom: are some of the sound effects from Link's Awakening reused? Ex: dungeon tune
hmmm could be not sure
In Tears of the Kingdom, placing a travel medallion on the top of the sky labyrinths makes them a piece of cake.

Thanks! For the mention again but I have another claim
In Majora's mask, when you go the observatory and look through the Telescope long enough you can find a Giant Guay that show up and drop big red Rupees in field,
Also If you talk to Sakon in ikana canyon he'll have different reactions with your other forms and just run away and de-spawning him too
Interesting Video Bro.
And if you need to jump over the fence to trigger it just use Epona then during the second thing where you ask him to race use his horse, as if it can't happen normally it is probably a flag tied to Epona however i don't remember if you can actually escape with it after you beat Ingo in the races
yeha i wanna retry some of this stuff but man citra is giving me a hard time, for some reason it refuses to start up and i tried everything

The last myth with the Cucco is partly true - you CAN kill a Cucco. You can even infinitely do it lol
There's a side quest for one of the stables where you have to collect Cuccos, and one of them spawns on a small island.
(Before the dark room with a lot of bats)
There is also a unique animation if you stand on a crack on the mountain that spews hot air.
If you are holding a pot, it will spin in the air and land in a random position on the ground without breaking.
oehhhh screenshotting for that second one
It's kind of weird, but Goat Butter spawns in the Gerudo Spa in TotK. These stop respawning after holding a certain amount in your inventory, and it'll still take awhile to get both sticks to reappear but you technically never need to buy butter. You can also find oil jars in the same area.
damn didnt know
Yes, and you can still get the oil (and I think butter) after the spa relocates to the surface level of town. This is, of course, because they use butter and oil for your massage.
@@MikeEPerez It's next to the beds while in the shelter, and near the rear entrance in the proper spot.

12:01 up there is also a fairy fountain somewhere
true
In the death mountain it has to be a sign you can cut to pieces that's why you have to use Zelda's lullaby otherwise you would not be able to tell there were two signs 2:00 I don't think they were messing with you after I'm done with the video I will go into ocarina of Time and search myself with the parameters that I've created

Long story short: Yes the hookshot does in fact 1 shot peahats specifically in OoT
it also works in Ultimate Trial Mod
yeah gonna redo it
I recall playing Oot up until the forest temple where you get the fairy bow, then I left & just went on to do other temples before returning to do the forest temple, I definitely did the fire temple before forest temple but as for the order of the rest.... its been years but pretty sure you can get the forest medallion last instead of the spirit one. Could try this on you're own just get the fairy bow then see how far you can get before you'll need to clear it 👍
hmmmmm could be interesting as a stand alone video, screenshotting this but not sure if i will cover it
You can technically beat Ingo without Epona in the 3DS version. To do this just wait until Ingo is out of sight when you race him. I think he despawns at some point. Once you finish the race, you win but Epona is suddenly in your possession after that even though you didn't ride her.
I saw a glitch video of Wind Waker that shows the kids clipping out of bounds. You probably didn't do it right.
the kid clip will be redone and the horse race i want to redo but for some reason citra refuses to boot
I'll see if I can help you with the Ingo horse one. I'm currently doing a run on Ocarina of Time anyway so I'll see if I can trigger it on NSO.
yeah pls because maaaaannnn citra is not working anymore and i tried everything to get it to boot
(Potential softlock?)
so i noticed something one day while watching a OoT randomizer. i noticed that underneath the dodongo skull in the main room, there is a small flow of magma or lava coming from underneath. i wonder if there is something behind that small passage. the main thing i want to know, is if that part of the map is programmed to give damage or is there lava that doesnt hurt you? cheating will most likely be required to investigate.
will look into it
I lol'd at the Weegee at 11:14
Wow you already found the easter egg hidden in it. (It's in most videos!)
@kotlolish It's funny to think about too. I wonder what using Weegee in battle would do lol
@@Shadowzero4 Well wait till the next video. I will hide another one :D
you can kill cucuus with powder or flame rod on links awakaning im not sure if it works on the new switch remake tho.
covered this in an older video
I tried the creep one much before this video and it worked
creep one?
In ToTK Robbie will ask if it’s laundry day when you’re naked.

When asked about glitches and exploits in the 3D remakes of Ocarina, developers said they saw no problem leaving them in the remakes, especially if they were fun for players
There's evidence of old glitches being left in Majora's Mask 3D, such as Epona in Clock Town.
I really do not want to do it myself, but I am slightly curious....and as much as I hate to say it, also....the dogs.....I just can't bring myself to try it, so I want to make someone else do it for me
Still love this videos
glad you do!
so did the ocean theme play? it wasn't entirely clear.
yeah we played the audio even
Why would people make up killing them with flamethrowers? Doesn't throwing them in the lava obliterate them?
that is one the list
normally claims don't get a response unless they will be featured. my previous one got a response but wasn't featerded.
well it depends, multiple people might have suggested it and it is first come first serve, whatever i see i pick

Hiya, probably misremembering this but the bosses in WW dont have nametags, you can only find out their names via the Figurine gallery. (i think)
The dialogue along characters does reveal some of their names, or referenced within the pantheon of Super Smash Bros along Brawl + Wii U.
This also occurs within some other Zelda Games as well.
@metayoshi1712 oh ok, but the boss fight itself doesnt contain the nametags. So only in the museum, dialogue, or in smash they can be found. Huh
wow what?!

Peahats can be killed with one shot from the hookshot in oot, if hacked in it will work
doesnt make sense though the games are basically the same so if it doesnt work in mm it shouldnt work in oot
It looks like the redeads go to morn their fallen comrade.
They 100% do, thats how its called in the code.
Sad thing is redeads aren't mindless monsters. They are just cursed.
first, i think that your thinking of commonwealth realm, he is from norway i am from the netherlands hahaha also second not sure why the kokiri outfit lines up so well with the heros tunic, dont think nintendo kept this in mind tbh lmao
@drwily ah well that's embarrassing haha I remember seeing one of you were from Norway, but I guessed wrong lol.
But thanks for answering my question regardless. Chalk it up to one of those Zelda mysteries!
To get the sign to react to Zelda’s lullaby you’ve got to chop it up first then playing Zelda’s lullaby will magically repair it seriously I know because me and my friend used to do this all the time when we were kids
gonna be redone
they litaraly said not an echo and the giant boulder not the rocks
14:51 did he say the myth twice. Did he say the myth twice?
That's what I thought, either that or we both happened to hit our devices' back-skip button at the same bit of the video?
oh lmao how did me and my editor miss this
What is your friend code?
sadly enough i dont share it because there is a max of 300 friends so its full and the waiting list is also massive, just too much to deal with
Some comments about Ocarina of time:
1. The ReDeads don’t get close to the fallen ones to revive them but to eat them.
2. Just like the stalchildren, if you keep killing guays, a giant one will spawn.
3. Haven’t you found the forest stage yet? You’ll make me play OoT again just to record that section.
forest stage??
@@drwily that's it. I'm playing OoT again. Please stay tuned and I will share a

Is it time for a video that re-visits the myths you didn't properly test? I see a lot of comments explaining how to correctly test a myth that you claimed was "False." lol
well i usually do that in follow ups, for example in the upcoming vid
There's a way of making the Yoshi on the top of the castle in Super Mario 64 fall off the roof and if you speak with him on the last frame when he starts falling the game will softlock because he will be walking against the castle wall and will be unable to reach the spot where he jumps in the waterfall. Although it's pretty difficult to make him fall.
Here's a video performing the glitch
