Good stuff as usual, both entertaining and informative to us speaker tinkering bods. Cheers matey.

Great video as much as I love the history of the Rogers speaker group. I have always thought their speakers to be overpriced for what they are, and the last time I saw thin and poorly routed wires was in a cheap Chinese toy from the pound shop. Is it a case that Rogers were better than everybody else at the time and they are really excellent or was everybody out of the speakers that bad Rogers are just average, but the name is Scott such a prestige with it.

I disagree about keeping them original. They are not classic cars. The crossover components deteriorate over time and benefit immensely from replacement with HQ caps, air core inductors and resistors. Polypropylene caps are best but very costly so polyester or audio grade electrolytic will suffice and still sound better than what's there. It's hard to convey how much better speakers sound with fresh crossover parts as long as you keep the values the same as the originals.

You'll have the LS3/6 and BBC purist police hunt you down if you do that to these 🤣🤣. Of course there are better parts which can be used and upgraded. See some of my other videos. One day I will make a crossover upgrade for these speakers but will need a pair to measure after, especially impedance. I have the crossover schematic from a few pairs I've had. My version of the BC1 used much better parts and sounded incredible. Remember a lot of clients don't want Upgrades and polys whacked in everywhere.
