Rock Quartz Crystal Boulders North Carolina Gem Collecting

- This is a new spot that I have had my eye on for some years. North Carolina has tons of opportunities to dig gems and crystals. This spot was first discovered by me cleaning trash and maintaining a homeowners property line. Over the years I kept picking up the quartz chunks exposed on the surface looking for crystals over the property while doing various jobs. Over the years I have found a few complete crystals on the surface but never enough to ask permission for opportunity to dig a spot. Currently I have a partial torn pectoral muscle that has sidelined me for the past few weeks. I find it very hard to slow down and wait on my arm to get better. It has been a long winter and I have bitting at my finger nails waiting on the warm weather and the thaw in the highest elevations. With property skyrocketing and people choosing to sell land/homes allowed me the opportunity to look a bit deeper into this spot in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Knowing that I had to reclaim the spot after I was done digging and that I have a extremely limited opportunity to see what this quartz vein could hold.
This video is describes how I came to recognize this spot that produced quartz crystals and from start to success. - Навчання та стиль
Those are some impressive quartz pieces for sure
very helpful and informative, thank you
Liked the fiddle ferns too.
Great looking crystals
It always fun to find anything.
Man, at 5:34 are we just gonna ignore the bright yellow gold-looking stuff cruising along the sulfide deposition in that crystal? :) Looked like juicy quartz, you should get it assayed. Great video, I’m not a NC native but I’ve lived here a long time and it’s more home than home is.
Lol you have the eyes of a wise prospector. It is a very interesting vein.
I didn't leave a thing behind.
@@HighCountryRocks My man :)

@@HighCountryRocks my pleasure, for sure. i wish i was out there with you, but i'm currently chained to the desk.
I understand that. That's why I share so I can remember the times and appreciate the opportunity.
Hi! I am enjoying your content! Would you ever make one video and describe just how you began your UA-cam channel? I am curious👀🙋🏻♀️
I don't think I'm capable of that. I haven't mastered the skill yet. That is such a great idea though for a video. If you're trying to do it feel free to ask any questions and hopefully I can help you.
Thanks so much for your very kind reply. Hope you have a great week! 👍🏻🙂
Hey bud! I really enjoy all of your content.
Have you ever been out towards Stanly County? I'm trying to find a place to do some digging.
I am not familiar with anything in Stanley Co. Unfortunately. Go to the website Mindat.org then search by county. That would be the first way I would start to find info about an area. It has been very beneficial to my exploring.
@HighCountryRocks I will surely check that out thank you!
Check out Morrow mountain. Very unique formation.
Cool finds, do you sell them? We have tons we have found in the piedmont
I do sell or trade if they are special. It is the fun of the hunt that I enjoy most.
Are these common around veins?
They can be common if the vein provides enough room for the crystals to grow. There was a gap in this wall rock providing space.
