Linda Ronstadt has been great from the beginning. Most Americans never knew of her Mexican heritage until she released her album. I knew of it but I had no idea she would put out an album in tribute to her father who loved this music. We are all, Mexicans and Americans, so blessed by being able to listen to the most angelic voice of the era. She shall be remembered as the songstress of our time with no equal. When she embraced it later in life it was seen as pandering by some people. She sang in Spanish in the 70’s though so she wasn’t trying to hard to hide.

Each night on UA-cam I listen to her "Long Long Time," "Blue Bayou," and "It Doesn't Matter Anymore" but often I listen and watch this song in Spanish. Even very young back in the 1960s Linda uniquely could convey the beauty, the soul and the emotion of unforgettable English and Spanish songs in perfect pitch and an incomparably pleasing voice. She stands alone.

I´m mexican, I didn´t know about Linda but when my mother brought a CD to my house around 18 years ago with Linda´s songs, I become her fan. Now I play these wonderful songs everytime I can, most of the time on the road when my family and I go to the "pueblo" to visit my grandma. Every time I hear Linda´s voice it makes me have greats memmories.
