Considering what video this content is on, this comment is in poor taste. We just spent a few minutes listening to someone telling us to subscribe to whichever one or more of his new channels most pleases us. Which is really annoying for the audience and doesn't actually make the workflow of video making any easier.
@@misteral9045wow, you're in their heads and know how much work any of the channels are? I mean, I'm glad tiramis posted the link to another channel, it made it easier to find the channel and subscribe. Having to search for it would have been annoying.
I've always found weird that UA-cam doesn't allow people to make categories, so that you can stay subscribed to a single "hub" channel and access stuff from there.
@@misteral9045 Thats also a solution, but with a lot of channel subscribed, it gets pretty messy. I personally would like to make a big playlist like music and below it sub playlists with different genres.
Dude I don't understand why you can't categorize your subs into genres or folders. I've been on UA-cam since 2005. This is like my 3rd account because once you start subbing to too many channels it basically unsubs you to many of them because it can only suggest so many things. I have like 200 subs altogether and see maybe 50 and most at a time.
@@TexasGreed Wow get a life, I don't mean to knock you for being passionate about things, I mean how do you have enough time that you can watch all that?
So I'm not going on MoreTheViper, but I'm switching TheViper channel from "Subscribed with no notifications" (no bell) to "Subscribed with all notifications" (bell activated). I'll probably watch more videos now that I know where to look at higher quality stuff! So I like the change. I hope it works well for you too in term of viewcount.
This is a good change. I can't always watch every video, but can be sure to watch the ones on this channel, and the daily content when I can. May the youtube algorithm forever work in your favour!
@@misteral9045 and yet here we are, with several content creators running second channels successfully, specifically because of the algorithm and the way that viewers watch or don't watch specific content.
@@16vSciroccoboi Right, so taking it up another level, that's because they produce drastically different content on those channels and they're really only connected in name. Those are indeed the creators with many successful channels. In turn, the people who are harmed from this tactic are those who split mostly similar content, who lose so many views because viewers can't be bothered to keep track of all the channels. I mean shit, people in this comments section are grateful for being saved a click on a link. And for how The Viper has said he will be splitting his content, I think it is a bad decision.
@@misteral9045 oh God I'm so glad you're here. Now the viper can learn from you and save his channel! Imagine being upset that people have a different take on a pinned comment with a link to the new channel. Imagine further being so upset and self absorbed that you feel it necessary to comment on several comments that don't have an issue with the change to tell them they are wrong or stupid.
Excited for the high quality videos. As someone who's been following casually for ~8 years- sometimes watching every vid and sometimes not watching and everywhere in between- don't hesitate and don't forget to promote the large-volume channel from your low-volume channels! Viewers get tons of ads and other distractions, any promotion of your own content is mostly welcome and interesting. Even when I'm just a casual viewer I'm happy to hear that you're successful elsewhere. If you keep up self promotion I think this is only positive!
I think it is a good change, particularly, because, as I understand it (not being related to youtube myself), if UA-cam algorithm sees you produce content which underperforms relative to your subscriber count, it quite negatively effects your discoverability. So even the content which would likely pull more people than "An interesting 1v1 Arabia game" does not get exposure it should. However, I got the impression that campaign videos were doing better than usual videos, so maybe they belong here too. Though again, "back-sitting" professional is a dumb thing to do.
I mean I never cared about any algorithm. I access videos from individual creator from their page, I rarely click what's thrown at me at the UA-cam landing page. I guess I do it more than before but it's still like 25%.
Hey Vipy, I really love your campaign playthroughs, challenges and other AoE content. I had unsubscribed from your channel because I didn't like my subscriptions page getting flooded by all the gameplays videos that I very rarely watched. So I absolutely love this change you've made!
I think it's a very good idea. I don't really have time to watch all the gameplay videos, but I love to see the bigger videos for sure. This way I won't miss those :D.
I might reccomend like a title card or end card with the names of the other two channels and a short like 5 word description of the content on each. Just something that can go up for a few seconds during into or outro and let people know where to find stuff.
I hope that you will change your mind about campaigns going to the other channel. I consider them a distinct set that has a narrative and one that therefore isn’t as gameplay focused. Good luck with the second channel!
I have a feeling I'm going to find this the exact same as when Hera separated out his gameplay to a new channel. I am more than likely going to only focus the gameplay, hopefully though this change pushes viper further than he is now
It is an awesome change, I didn't watch many of your videos just because most of the time it was (or I thought it was) a random game I did not care about
Thanks for the video. It helps us (the viewers) get the most out of which content we want to see. I basically like watching Rage Forest - it is what made me start watching you and AOE2 content again after years. I'll certainly subscribe to the Daily TheViper. xx
Finally, TheViper will be Live on YT again! So glad about that! Your streams are calming have helped me sleep for 4 years now (daily), and video content runs out for me. So happy for the live part!
I saw one guy on twitch that had a function where the comments from UA-cam were also shown in Twitch chat, as something like [comment from YT]. Maybe that could be an option
Sounds awesome, would love to see viper trolls or challenges set out by your fans or your own ideas, like forcing yourself to be limited to make monks only, cav only, towers only, for example.
Hmm... creating a separate channel and do double streaming seems like a good idea. T90 didn't want to stream on YT because it might hurt his YT channel, but if he say streams to T90 Extras, then it might be better?
3-4 a week sounds quite high of a goal for quality content, probably would be reasonable to care even less about the volume if u trying have a noticeable up in quality
A long time coming change, i think it'll work out just fine. Other "main" channels usually does have the edited stuff, so aligning with people's expectations like this will not be a shock to your current subs. Atleast i hope that's the case haha
Speaking as an editor for those small channels, they do that, and then die because they split their audience for no benefit, because the content really isn't different enough to be split, even if on the production side it's very different.
I really really really think three channels is too much. Am I the only one who sees this as a bad move? I consider other creators who added secondary channels and all it ends up doing is splitting the subscriber base
Think it's good change that you couldn't have made 2 years ago, the UA-cam algorithm has been improved so most people will get recommended videos from both channels 👍
