    Fun tip: you can sell ammo it the pond at the outpost for 10 coins for each mag. If you are super close to affording a key upgrade, throw out those pistol mags you are bound to refill anyways, and get yourself a tool to help survive!

      Which outpost? You mean the hub that you come back to after a run? Where is the pond? And isn't this a game breaking bug? I mean you can get infinite ammo mags on the table before you go on another run.

    I've found "The Decent" stacking tarot cards to be the most valuable. When an enemy as at a %percentage of health, they instantly die. I had a Militia run (with higher rarity). It works on bosses, even the final boss. At %40 HP and was defeated, end of run. Now that's a powerful card, maybe the most powerful in the game.

    • @RealityRemake

      Honestly I've never had the gumption to try and stack those that high O_O usually I go for flat damage bonuses and play assault. That's a sweet strategy.

    Thank you!! Awesome intro guide., wow! I need this so much. At 10 hours in here, these tips were extremely helpful. The "inspection" B button tip feature completely changed how navigate my run decisions. Also, thanks to everyone in comments leaving even more tips. I'm 40 years old with a long gaming history and TLB is easily in my top 5. Maybe #1. It's a sin if this game doesn't win Best Game of the Year on Quest

    Nice video, subbed. One small correction is that roguelike and roguelites are not the same.
    Roguelikes are like the 80’s game Rogue which had permadeath where nothing carries over to the next game.
    Rougelites makes the player start over from the beginning but allows carry over of some aspects of each run. Like weapons, skills/experience, etc. Allowing the player to build out their character(s) over time.
    There are very few Rougelikes and a ton of Rougelites. Seems gamers of the 1980’s loved punishment more.

    I'm still confused. The levels are procedurally generated, so no two runs are the same. So then, how do you see player's ghosts? Do they just run an ai through the level and see where it dies?

    • @RealityRemake
      @RealityRemake  Рік тому +3

      I would love to know! I suspect that some of the ghosts might be autogenerated and not those of actual players (based on the name).

      I believe the maps are built in chunks(think like Warframe maps where a map tileset has like 50 different pieces that can take like 10 of them and arrange them in different patterns). So someone died in that chunk.
      That or it's just random

    • @CannedCam

      I feel like there’s definitely areas that are the same. For example every time I would go into necropolis (I think) there would be a large group of enemies in the same position in the very beginning so next time I went in I brought grenades. Also the sewer entrance with the dual blade traps I’ve seen multiple times
      Edit I’m a silly noodle , I must’ve unchecked pure random seed in the settings at one point. Now I’m getting the rng lol

    • @RealityRemake
      @RealityRemake  Рік тому

      That's never happened to me, I tend to be stingy with ammo. If you've got a wand you could always pop out and hit them with it, wait for a recharge and rinse and repeat. Despite my best efforts, punching or hitting an enemy with a weapon doesn't work.

    Tip #1 read up on the final boss and amp up your brightness before the fight. I think it's the worst end game boss I've ever seen.

      There's a learning curve for VR shooters, it's easier when you've played a couple. The best advice I can give you is to start a new save file from the main menu and redo the tutorial. Pay special attention when you get the rifle for the first time and all of this will be explained. If you might forget how to reload then get some practice in at the firing range after you've got it down. The game will explain how to reload far better than I can over text. The ammo bag will be on the left side of your belt by the way. Hope this helps and good luck out there!

      @@RealityRemake the problem I'm having is I'm playing seated so I have to like literally lean forward and look down to see the ammo belt. And then when I reach down its like it's to far down and I'm hitting the arms of the chair. Is there any adjustments to just eliminate the fn belt or ammo shit.. Like I really don't even need to mimic that
