i want to give my greatest thanks to whoever mixed this song. i stumbled across it 4 years ago during a time of deep depression and really became obsessed with it. this was the first time id heard alan watts who turned out to be a huge influence in helping me out of my depression. thank you :)
Liberty Morrison Same story. that beat in the background, combined with the screaming particularly captured what I was feeling at the time. I agree with you about Alan Watts too.
@@chainsawteddybear hey thanks it's going pretty good. I'm learning to accept this as part of who I am. I'm now finishing up a master's and have been with the love of my life for 3 years. I hope this gives someone else hope that things get better. When I'm so low I just say to myself that life is a game and you may as well just play it. No point quitting because you're going that way anyway.
That's the most fascinating problem in the world - is who am I ? What do you mean, what do you feel when you say the word 'I' ? I - myself. I don't think there can be any more fascinating preoccupation than that, because it's so mysterious,it's so elusive..Because what you are in your inmost being, escapes your examination in rather the same ways that you can't look directly into your own eyes without using a mirror, you can't bite your own teeth, you can't taste your own tongue and you can't touch the tip of this finger, with the tip of this finger. And that's why there's always an element of profound mystery in the problem of who we are..This problem has fascinated me for many years, and I've made many enquiries. What do you mean by the word 'I' ? And there is a certain contemplance about this, a certain agreement. It's best made among people who live in Western Civilization. Most of us feel I, ego, myself, my thoughts and consciousness. To be a center of awareness and a source of action that resides in the middle of a bag of skin.

Saludos!
This song makes me feel nostalgic for some reason... I think its from the muffled lo fi beat and the soft white noise in the background, plus, I've always connected to creepy/horror ideas and games. And not edgy shit, more like, idk, Silent Hill, Earthbound/Mother, Yume Nikki, etc... I think this is a really unique witch house song, as it doesn't really have harsh abrasive synths or stereotypical occult themes, it's rather softer yet still unsettling. I can hear some trip hop, ambient, and dream pop influence, too. This song just makes you think of those memories when you were younger and you stayed up at night for so long that the sun was coming up and everything in the early morning looked blue and hazy. How times were simpler and nicer, you had fears of monsters that sounded like the screams in this song, yet you can never go back.
I stumbled across this song during my exchange in finland, used to spend tireless nights just watching it snow outside and thinking about dark stuff. What a wonderful time, what a wonderful memory. So happy to see that I’m not alone in being influenced so strongly by this song. Cheers ya all dark souls!
i love this song more than anything. i wish i could’ve spent my teen years having fun and going out and not giving a fuck but i lost it to my dumb eating disorder social anxiety and depression, i turn 18 soon im sad. idk why i said this just thoughts

This is beautiful. You won't understand anything important in life if you don't open your mind, as well as your eyes. Look beyond what you see. What you hear. Think, think again. And always think thrice before you speak, only if you MUST speak.
Genre's are given to music to easily identify or relate bands/groups (whatever) to another. It is supposed to be a simple method of understanding and classification, like baking, grilling or frying food. But people get so caught up in their opinions it becomes a method of debate. Bands make music, and sometimes the music has a similar sound to other bands. It is based on opinions who does it better, not fact. Music is like the taste of food, one person won't taste exactly what the other does.
