Guess what... Cobble Hill beat you to it.. They have reduced their puzzle box size and include posters that are folded. I liked it when the posters weren't folded... I hang them on my bedroom wall. But I'm okay with the changes. The 2000 pc puzzle boxes are slightly bigger. Congrats on your first CH puzzle and on 11 plus thousand subscribers. They are my favourite.
Thank you! That's awesome!! I'm so pleased they reduced the size and still included the poster. Folded posters are annoying but, I will take it if it means the box is a lot smaller.

Hello from British Columbia. I used to live in Cobble Hill where these puzzles were born. So glad to see you got to try one. I love the random cut. Congratulations on 10,000 subscribers!
Congratulations! Great video! Just FYI, Cobble Hill just recently changed their boxes to be smaller, I believe earlier this year. The last couple I have purchased are the smaller boxes.
@@fortheloveofpuzzles I have thought about it, but my art doesn't quite fit into the puzzle world, and now my art hobby is "on hold". But, I've ordered the custom puzzle for my husband with his art on it, it was really awesome present and I love to assemble this puzzle
Congrats!!!!! for all your subscribers WELLL DESERVED!! I would be emotional too!! and we will never tire of hearing about Spain, what fun you had!!! another job well done!!! my brain does not wrap around puzzling out of the box, I found this video quite interesting to watch, how you work all over the image at once, that you hold up pieces to see where each piece may go..... I flip all my pieces not matter the count and then sort per what ever section I am doing ... I tried sorting and struggled with each and every piece..as to what pile to put it in.... especially with a busy image..... again I found this very interesting....... I enjoyed that you slowed the pace so yes we could watch........ I puzzle most in the evening. I know most you tubers have great lighting due to filming.. but if you get a chance maybe address ideas for handling the glare. I have googled different light bulbs etc.. most of us are just using standard house lamps etc... If you have addressed this I will revisit older videos.... always enjoy your channel... keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!!! Working all over the image - I call it my build-as-I-sort - I try to place a piece in as close as possible to its position and then sort into piles the once I can't figure out. I do plan on doing a Puzzle Along series in which I explain this process in more detail. I did have issues with lighting in this video which I don't usually have in others - it's very frustrating because one minute everything is fine and then another, there is an issue. Sorry about that. I think I may have a solution with my camera setting based on what another subscriber commented. I'm not perfect but I try my best.
I will add, about the Vintage Travel Grafika puzzle, the pieces seemed unusually small and there wasn't enough of a unique cut to them, while they were all a similar colour! They might need to re-think their 6k line. I'm also looking forward to the next BOTYP and I'm sure you're going to see a bunch of creative home-made TShirts now as well!!
YES!!! I totally forgot to mention the small awkward pieces. I think I do talk about them during the actual video in which the puzzle is features. Those pieces are so so frustratingly small. It's like the puzzle should be a 4k cut and they just made the pieces smaller to be a 6k. I do also hope that people will make their own homemade shirts to wear for BOTYP!!!
Congratulations! I am horribly behind and was going to watch all the Spain videos first, but I had to see this one first. So happy for you! Oh and I love Cobble Hill puzzles!!
Let me add my voice to the chorus of congratulations. It is so pleasant to see that your passion and hard work are being rewarded. I am still hoping that you won't give up on the 42K Educa puzzle as I am looking forward to see more videos about it. P.S. The photographer in me had to be restrained from giving you unsolicited advice about lighting but can I just say two words: key light. Cheers!
I am planning on cracking open the third bad of the Educa puzzle soon - maybe after Oz Nationals. I am having so many issues with my cameras lately! First the Canon is having focus issues but my lighting works nicely with it. So I switched to my GoPro but now the image is too dark. I know...I know... I'm working on it but a lot of this is out of my knowledge range. I will be testing out some different lighting tomorrow - fingers crossed it works. And it's so annoying that the GoPro is so sensitive to light that it changes the images from warm to cool...it's frustrating!
@@fortheloveofpuzzles Yes, I have also noticed the white balance issue during the timelapse. You can fix that by disabling the Auto White Balance feature on the GoPro. It's an option in the video capture settings. Bouncing the lights off the ceiling creates a bright spot above you that confuses the camera's light meter. The addition of a key light (a direct light coming from an angle) would also resolve the darkness issue when you are talking to the camera. Hope this helps!
@@fellowpuzzler The Auto White Balance - I will check that and turn it off and hopefully that will resolve that issue. I do have two lights hitting me at different angles but with their diffusers, they are not strong enough. The GoPro has a Vibrant image setting but I find it washes me out too much. Seriously - film, photography...it's not that easy! There is always something with lighting or sound or focus...frustrating as I try my best and get so annoyed when things don't work and I can't fix them. Thanks for your input though. I will try the White Balance and see if that makes a difference.
Congratulations Donnalouise!! I'm so happy for you. I love your explanations and the research you do regarding the puzzle images and the artists involved.

Congratulations on over 10k subscribers, you deserve it. I rather love the voiceovers you do. Cobble Hill are lovely jigsaws. I think I’ve only done a couple. At the moment I’m doing a gorgeous one called Dreaming by Heye. I keep finding brands I’ve not heard of before. There are so many, which obviously I have to try….😁
Greetings from Hazlet, NJ, USA. I loved this video and although I didn’t get a chance to ask a question, I hope I can ask one now. Your lack of an accent of any kind suggests that you might be from the USA? Mid-west? Congrats on 10k subscribers of which I am one. All the best. You’re great.

Nice video! Thank you for answering my question 😀 I'm trying to do as many different puzzles as I can, but I always tend to buy the ones I love because I don't have a high budget to buy them. Definitely will have to try the countdown method as well. Thank you so much and, again, congratulations!!

Wow, over 11K subscribers, fantastic! 🥰 Your videos are so enjoyable so not surprising you have so many subscribers, well deserved. Cobble Hill do some good jigsaws with varied images. Bits & Pieces do what you call wonky donkey shapes and I've done quite a few of their puzzles. Look forward to the next video.
So pleased to read that they have made their boxes smaller. I so want to get a Bits & Pieces jigsaw puzzle some day to do. Another brand to add to the list!

But then my husband got me that Secrets of the Scientist one which was all about jigsaw puzzles. May have to ask for another such advent calendar for this year.
Congrats on almost 12K subs ! I enjoy Cobble & Hill a lot. I like the pieces are different and with a variety. C&H also have a lot of puzzles with larger pieces so I think the box size is pretty standard, and I like all my boxes to have the same size, easier to have a neat and tidy shelf.
I woke up this morning and am just a few subscribers shy of 12k and I am in shock!!! WOOHOO! I've been sent photos that Cobble Hill have reduced their box size for their new puzzles but still include the poster - so that is awesome in my opinion. I think they all have the same width and length but they just increase the height for puzzles with large piece counts.
If you wanted, you could try the mini versions of the 42,000 Around the World puzzle (2x 1,500 and 1 x 2,000). There's still a bit of issue with the piece cut but it’s not as bad.
Ah yes, Vicky did one from Anatolian I think...??? I didn't realise Educa also had smaller versions of these images as well. I will crack into the 3rd bag I think once I get back from Australian Nationals. I know I will love looking at it once it's all done.
@@fortheloveofpuzzles It is worth it in the end. I've done both the mini and maxi versions and the larger one is better (although I've yet found space to display it properly).
I enjoy your channel, so happy and uplifting😁 What is the name of the Cobble Hill puzzle featured in this video? I enjoy the brand but find them a bit difficult.
The name of this puzzle was "Thru Swirly Railings" - I always list the puzzle details in the video description for everyone's reference. It was a fun puzzle but more challenging. The image was tricky. I wouldn't recommend this one in particular for someone wanting to try their first Cobble Hill but I did enjoy the brand overall. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
Parabéns pelas suas conquistas, fico muito feliz em ver seu canal crescer tão rápido, e isso só acontece por sua simpatia e dedicação. Agora ... rumo aos 20000 inscritos!!!! Abraços, fica bem!!!
I agree!!! I can't even move like 6 pieces, not even 2 actually. Just so crumbly and the reason I am not super excited to start the next bag of the 42k puzzle. Love the image though!
Oh my gosh, is that why I keep feeling like I recognize you?? If you don't mind sharing, what was the name of your fragrance channel? I watched a lot of scent videos a few years ago. (Currently wearing Xerjoff Casamorati Italica sample, a bad pick for a hot day!)
The channel was called "My Two Scents" - I started it in 2014. I love perfume and did enjoy making those videos. I wonder if I should post here some screenshots from way back then...??? I've not tried any Italica perfumes yet.
@@fortheloveofpuzzles that timing does line up! I got into fragrance when decants first started getting popular, before their prices went through the roof. Good times.
There are a few companies out but I don't want to publicise them by listing them. Then again, if you want to know so you don't buy them, then perhaps I should share...hmmm...feeling conflicted because I also don't want to necessarily talk down about any brand just because I disagree with their practices...
I would hope that companies like Ravensburger, Trefl, Clementoni and others pay the artists what they want and deserve to use their art. At least by not buying AI generated art, I'm not contributing to art misuse and artist being taken advantage of.
Congratulations on the 10K subscribers. I am so happy for you. Thank you for all the information you shared about the cobble hill puzzle you worked on. This is my favorite puzzle brand. I did a video not too long ago on two White Mountain puzzles. My friend Wendy found those puzzles for me as they are not readily available in NZ. She got them from someone's grandma's stash somewhere. You should be able to find the video to watch if you look through the thumbnails.

Thank you. Found on US Amazon but I think the puzzle ships from Canada. Thanks again. 🧩

The Wonky Donkey is a book by Craig Smith.
It sure is, great book by a kiwi author!
My biggest issue with Educa is that you cannot move a group of assembled pieces without it crumbling!!!
Good times.
Thank you - beautiful puzzle and interesting chit chat. What brands use AI generated images? How do you recognize them?
There are a few companies out but I don't want to publicise them by listing them. Then again, if you want to know so you don't buy them, then perhaps I should share...hmmm...feeling conflicted because I also don't want to necessarily talk down about any brand just because I disagree with their practices...
I understand. I just don't know how I'd know which brands are doing it. Maybe I'll google it and see if I can get some info.@@fortheloveofpuzzles
@@alisonm3946 Some are honest and upfront and say they use AI like Unreal Puzzles, CreaMindsLabs and Stuzzles. It is sometimes hard to tell though.
🥲💖🧩
I felt so silly but left it in because I just kept crying! I'm just so overwhelmed with joy.
Not buying AI art doesnt nessicarily mean they treat the artists ethically unfortunately. They will often do anything to not pay out residuals on work
I would hope that companies like Ravensburger, Trefl, Clementoni and others pay the artists what they want and deserve to use their art. At least by not buying AI generated art, I'm not contributing to art misuse and artist being taken advantage of.
I really love Cobble Hills brand.
I definitely want to do more!!!
Congratulations on the 10K subscribers. I am so happy for you. Thank you for all the information you shared about the cobble hill puzzle you worked on. This is my favorite puzzle brand. Have you ever reviewed “White Mountain” puzzles? Being in New Zealand is probably difficult to get a hold of one but if you have, it would be lovely to hear your thoughts about them😊🧩❤️
I did a video not too long ago on two White Mountain puzzles. My friend Wendy found those puzzles for me as they are not readily available in NZ. She got them from someone's grandma's stash somewhere. You should be able to find the video to watch if you look through the thumbnails.
Congratulations on your 11k subscribers! I believe it has a lot to do with your wonderful personality. You're so personable that people can relate to you. I'm sure your great puzzle videos helped, too.
I do enjoy Cobble Hill puzzles. They have great images, no false 6 I like the feel of the pieces.
Thank you so much!! The Cobble Hill pieces were so much fun.
