The problem with the challenges isn't just the communication, it's that challenges like that should never be the only way to way to level up. It's restrictive, it's arbitrary, it's just plain not fun. People don't like being forced into playing a certain way, this challenge system is awful. It makes the entire game feel like a waste of time if you aren't doing your assigned chores. It feels we're being told that we're playing the game wrong. Having fun is secondary to doing as you're told in a game about being a fucking outlaw. After grinding for weeks and you finally level up your favorite gun all the way, well now you're forced into using a gun you might not like as much because it'd be a waste to use the max level one. CHALLENGES ARE NOT A FUN WAY TO PROGRESS IF THEY'RE THE ONLY WAY TO PROGRESS!

Funny, I get the opposite impression and feel like I am steered into TOO MANY options to level up - just not many that are fast. Which is more an issue with the heist completion challenges, which seem to take too long from the 2nd tier onwards. Condensing those down and showing challenges that were progressed as opposed to just finished would already make things a lot more clear instead of asking for a complete rework of the level-system just to take plain heist completion into account.
Exactly. I was playing Road Rage today and nobody wanted to leave when we were done, i was ready to get the fuck out but the rest of my team were staying and shooting cops because they wanted to complete challenges. I was trapped for more than 20 minutes inside the match after we delivered all the loot. Fun game, not...
The challenges should have been a part of the weapon progression so that challenges give attachments to weapons, instead of it being linked to doing missions that give xp to the weapon, it seems really backwards having weapon progression tied to mission completion and having infamy linked to challenges
You can keep the challenges, but just add a flat xp reward with a bonus for stealth completion so that you don't get nothing when you want to play a heist in a way that doesn't progress your challenges.
This is the only feature I feel is really needed right now. Its so hard determining if your team wants to stealth or go loud from the preheist lobby. A text chat or any communication would make it so much easier to make sure everybody is on the same page.
DO NOT add a battlepass to payday 3. Battlepasses are a scummy way to leach money off of people who have FOMO (fear of missing out) and are completely unnecessary.

Thanks for the constant feedback, and being open. The current progression system really turns into a slog on later levels, especially towards the 50-60 range. Challenges giving XP is fine, but a base XP payout for heists would be appreciated. Whether it’s based on difficulty, amount of money made, or both, would be nice. Challenges should be a bonus way of maximizing your XP, while also completing heists.

Career Challenges give C-Stacks. Challenges should give XP, but heists themselves also should. Challenges should be a way of earning extra XP, on top of completing heists.
Honestly I don't really appreciate the fact the only way to earn experience and level up is from doing the challenges, completely takes away from the honest payday-way.

Man looking at all this gameplay, I’m missing the soundtracks, whatever happened to payday soundtrack with all the insanely fun and hype music, not that the music isn’t hype anymore but. It would be nice to go loud on a mission and hear DontActTDumb again. And all of the above soundtrack songs from payday 2
Simon Viklund left Overkill back in 2015 and while he did work as a freelancer for Overkill, they confirmed that he won't be returning for Payday 3. Could be because of the exclusive deal he signed with a record label company. That being said, they've also said that they would never introduce microtransactions, the White House heist was gonna be one of the last heists (in PD2), and that the servers wouldn't crash for the PD3 launch. So take Overkill's word with a couple shakes of salt.

An offline mode, where my solo games can be paused and lag won't fail me because a guard sees me through a wall. Lag should never be a factor when playing solo with bots. It's good that matchmaking will be fixed but an offline mode is still necessary in my opinion. Like Payday 2, I play solo almost exclusively, except in Payday 3, I can't even pause the game. Online only is killing this game for people like me. It's causing problems that shouldn't exist in the first place. Without offline, this game is borderline unplayable, even with the fixed servers.
@@Theragtagna Because my friend also bought it and we both love Payday. But he's not always online and I tend to not trust randos, especially with stealth, and especially especially if I can't kick anyone. It worked just fine in Payday 2 and any other co-op oriented game I play.

My honest opinion on the game is that it’s a good game with its flaws, but what game doesn’t have its flaws these days, I have faith in the future for payday but I do ask and nearly beg the devs to please change the xp system, halo infinite had the same progression system and it did not turn out well, they eventually fixed it in their own way but I hope y’all don’t go down that same path, it restricts players and how we have to play

what if there was a tranq dart type thing so you didn't have to KILL Guards, but just neutralize them in stealth for us passive stealthers for added realism, since killing is always a last resort IRL? ;)

Light in content compared to payday 2. What a copout. It's light on content period. Even if this was a new IP It's still horrendously light on content. There's nothing to do. You play the maps, get a jacket and a couple guns and you're done.
Can we get an explanation as to why getting extra bags doesn't matter at all? On every heist this is the case, however I will use 99 Boxes as an example. Why do the money bags contribute SO LITTLE to the total? With just the 2 tech devices, you get $1 Million, with full loot, you get $1,002,000 why is that? Why does extra loot not matter at all?
Achievements have been slow to unlock, but I haven't had any issues. Could be that you need to give xbox time to process it, assuming you didn't kill a guard at all on overkill (no pagers used).
I really dont mind paying for content, i want to support this team, people need to realise that these people work hard and communicate so much more compared to other devs and theyve had a rough last 5 to 10 years with everything going on especially after payday 2 where theyve gave away alot for free so they basically were working for non profit just for our entertainment and appreciation to their community, people need to give them a break and treat them better, realise this is a new engine they are working on and a new server system, i think theyve done incredible with the little time theyve had and are quick to try and resolve issues. Can you say the same about other dev teams, i dont think so .
What are you waffling about, they released like 40 paid DLCs after saying they were done making them for Payday 2. I'm not exaggerating either, I'm pretty sure its 40, and half of them are cosmetics. I appreciate the occasional free weapon and the revamps to mechanics like the Infamy system, but let's not act like it wasn't out of necessity because The Walking Dead disaster almost killed Starbreeze and Overkill. I like Overkill, I actually preordered OTWD because I had high hopes for it since it played like a more polished No More Room in Hell, but you're a real dick if you're trying to convince your friends to buy a game that is objectively flawed. Being unable to play a game for almost its entire launch week is unacceptable, especially for a dev studio of their size. I'm glad the community isn't listening to people like you because while your heart might be in a good place, you are being an active detriment to the playerbase and the devs by trying to get everyone to not hold them accountable for a poor product. Especially when they seemingly learned nothing from a game they've developed and support for over a decade, given how poorly implemented things like the XP progression system is. I hope Overkill fixes the game promptly and pulls their heads out of their bakdel, and if they have to feel the pressure from poor sales, high volumes of refunds, and criticism from their fanbase to do so, so be it.

A challenge based xp system in a mission based game is about the most stupid thing you could do besides requiring an online connection for solo play.

さて、次はキャラクターのレベルシステムに関してユーザーは様々な意見がありますが私個人としては前作の2は2の良さがあり、また今作の3では3の良さがあると感じています。つまり3では同じミッションばかりこなしていてもキャラクターの経験値は上がらない、運営が頑張って制作した様々なミッションをこなして楽しむことができます。もちろんユーザーにとっては苦手なミッションもありますがそれは克服するチャンスだと前向きに捉えるとゲームがより広く楽しめるよね
