Some farmers hang a long but low foamy chain saturated with diesel fuel to ward off the flies. The cows walk under as the diesel fuel soaked chain contacts the upper body. Works for the cows at "Just a few Acres Farm"

When you mentioned the song of the day it reminded me of the time my dad was in the garage working on his International and this song was on the radio. I could even smell the memory, the grease, the garage. My dad asking me to bring him a tool. Funny what can drive a memory. Thanks for the trip.

Cole, that sure is a nice shot of you & Ellie looking over the gate.---Darn, the smell of garlic makes me turn angry.---Brian, I was listening to Summer in the City just this morning on my car CD player!!! Good one!---There's a line in the soundtrack to 'How the West Was Won' that says the "wind blows so hard, you have to walk sideways, I'm gonna leave this lonesome prairie, or I'm gonna die from trying".---Cole, I was a bit worried when you climbed up on the bucket to grease that bolt. Was anyone w/in shouting distance if there was a terrible accident?

Since this is clean up, paint up, grease up day, I noticed at 3:35 at the start of the combine relocation section, a small pool of fresh-looking wet under the combine. Looked as though it might have been water, it didn't flatten out on the edges the way oil does. You might want to check that out. Also, for the guy who suggested backing the auger up to the silo stairs to grease the top, dumb, stupid and idiotic are all words that come to mind, but I would just be talking about myself. Normally, I might have twenty years go by before a solution to a problem that outstanding came to me. Brilliant! Jack L.
