This was a good one right here! I've never even heard of fishing this shallow in the fall • I need to head for the lake right now and see if they're there!!
Most of the time I fish between 2 - 4 feet deep, this is the depth they like to feed in all the lakes Around here. No matter how cold the water gets they follow the bait fish.
Yes when it's warmer or the sun's out you'll see the bait fish flipping on top of the water. little sparkles when you look across the lake. When they're not on top of the water, I use my sonar and it looks like a round or oval cloud in the middle of the water column. When I find a good message bait, I just fish around it.
why return all those Drum, aren't they just competing with the fish we do want ? I don't have Drum where I'm at but I never caught a Gar or a Pike that I didn't accidentaly slam their head against the gunnel before I returned them to the water or feed em to my dog.
White meat but very rubbery constantly on Drum meat. I have fried, smoked, baked, and grill them. Too me fun to catch. Bring home and feed to the barn cats. That is all they are good for
Thanks for not calling them crappy or....perch!
Yes sir. thank you
That was a great bullhead!!!
Thank you

Yes, they will go up into the creeks too. They are following the bait fish.

What’s going on FishYanker, What kind of fish finder do you have? Im looking to buy one soon to get on some crappie.
I have a Humminbird Helix 7 si GN3. It's mostly the cooler water. It helps the bite alot.
The fish finder does help me see the bait fish under the water. These old crappie like to follow that bait around.
@@FishYanker thank you!
