One of the best albums in the history of metal. It's a must. Those are the true ingredients of metal, speed, aggression, and true dedicated direct riffs, not the demonstration of technical shit metal of nowadays.
what a great song n video by sepultura.my heart . my blood n soul.omg . plz come Bangladesh for concert. lot of die-hard fan in our country waiting for your.........
First song I heard from them, before that it was just stuff I heard on the radio when I was a kid. But I heard this and my life with music changed :) one of the greatest bands every , when they was together
seasons in the abyss, arise, vulgur display of power, rust in piece, burn my eyes, scream bloody gore, heartwork,,,in a perfect world these albums wud be in the rock hall of fame...
Almost 20 years... I remember watching the premiere of this vid at the brazilian mtv at the time. It gave me the goose bumps back then, it still give me the goose bumps today... specially the part at 3:07!
hell yeah!\m/ i remember how i used to play this song down stroke picking all the way! they didnt do it that way though but it sound much sicker than the up and down stroke..but ofcourse nothing beats the original! sepultura old days!!!!!
Absolutely right dude! Its definitely on my list of albums to be bought. Along with Beneath The Remains and Chaos AD. I checked Sepultura out recently that's why I don't own them yet.
3:24 is one of the greatest moments in metal ever. It makes me wonder how could these guys do some of the finest music in the genre. Whenever i'm walking in the street on my way to work and listening to this part of the song I start headbanging like crazy.
toby fairman I know right? SO DAMN GOOD. They both have that similar intro charge-up that just makes me want to chisel a brick wall away with my skull.
@TheGuitarBattles I picked up Arise back in '91 and have been a fan ever since. I would suggest getting that one after Morbid Visions. Also, they are from Brazil...in case you wanted to know. have fun listening.
Got em tattoed on my leg, they have been my favourite band for 18 years and im so fuckin glad i could se Max front row and his brother 2 years ago. I love their music and i will probably put up another tattoo with them some day :) Dead embrynic cells, i still get the chills when i hear it :) In swedish we call this "ståpäls" M)
@immetal1 Yeah... and when I saw them live they kept that crunch going for like 3 minutes and I had to get out of the pit the next song just to catch my breath...
Never compare two bands! Noone is pushing noone to listen to a particular band. This is about what you like. Listen to what you like. Do not listen to what you do not like...
VIVA O VERDADEIRO SEPULTURA
OMG I couldn't agree with you more. That time period right before Hair/Glam Metal/MTV took over (Which I like A LOT of by the way lol), was the glory days of metals. I sure you have heard the two new accept albums? If not MAKE SURE you check out Blood Of Nations. Listen to Shades of Death and Teutonic Terror. There is no way you would believe those songs were made in 2010 lol :)
@Youboob99 You sir have excellent taste in music. I think it's the controlled bursts of speed in both songs that make them great. I always say, most underrated Metallica song, Disposable Heroes. And Arise album is fuckin ridiculous awesome
Damn right my friend, he is a great drummer and he shows on "Arise". Even though I don't own "Arise" or "Beneath The Remains", I've heard his playing on songs like Mass Hypnosis, Inner Self, Arise, Desperate Cry etc. and he really nailed them!
@Zoodist Yeah they are both awesome! sepulturas earlier stuff around BTR time was like slayer I think because they were the biggest bands at that time playing slightly darker thrash than the other members of the big 4 for example. Anyways they are both awesome similar or not!
reunion band "cavalera conspiracy" and their only album thus far 'inflikted'. they are scheduled to release a new album in 2011. sepultura was my favorite all time shit as a kid. enjoy!
3:10 and so begins the heaviest and greatest Metal riff of all time,..it's just a complete tragedy that Sepultura turned into a "Bongo Metal" band after Arise..
This was the first band that got me into so called ''Thrash metal'' with the Arise album 20 year ago they seemed to stand out from other thrash bands in much the same way cypress hill stands out from other hip hop bands. its the cream of the crop.
@NearbyHermit If you think Slayer are too fast try listening to Dark Angel and Sadus. Reign in Blood is the only album that is "too fast". Listen to Hell Awaits and Show no Mercy I dont think it's too fast and has more variety and some great songs and for even slower songs, Seasons in the Abyss and South of Heaven.
i miss max in sepultura . i never get over it
One of the greatest bands and one of the greatest song EVER!!!
Arise = My favorite Album of all time. This is the shit that Darth Vader listens to.
One of the best albums in the history of metal. It's a must. Those are the true ingredients of metal, speed, aggression, and true dedicated direct riffs, not the demonstration of technical shit metal of nowadays.
For sure, also with Beneath the Remains and Schizophrenia
This song kicks some serious gluteous maximus.

Riffs rip you apart! I miss being 17 and jamming to this for the first time

one thing of the many this band did is lay down the fondation for a breakdown used in today's death metal. cheers for Sepultura!
Hail From Greece Guys
Brazilian thrash is the best
seasons in the abyss, arise, vulgur display of power, rust in piece, burn my eyes, scream bloody gore, heartwork,,,in a perfect world these albums wud be in the rock hall of fame...

One of the best bands to ever roam the earth...
Almost 20 years... I remember watching the premiere of this vid at the brazilian mtv at the time. It gave me the goose bumps back then, it still give me the goose bumps today... specially the part at 3:07!
This song has the best break down all time.
0:00 to 1:06 my favorite part.
Andrew Dye it happens when the intro was too good. Example Dream Theater- Panic Attack
3:16 - 3:60 is the "PUREST" form of metal to me. That is the core! The foundation of all things metal in my book!
Everything is so good about this song :D
hell yeah!\m/ i remember how i used to play this song down stroke picking all the way! they didnt do it that way though but it sound much sicker than the up and down stroke..but ofcourse nothing beats the original! sepultura old days!!!!!
Best breakdown ever.

Love this
I'm going to see them tonight.
They better play this or else ^_^
Absolutely right dude! Its definitely on my list of albums to be bought. Along with Beneath The Remains and Chaos AD. I checked Sepultura out recently that's why I don't own them yet.
one of the best songs off Arise Sepultura will live on!!! THRASH TILL DEATH!!!! \m/
3:24 is one of the greatest moments in metal ever. It makes me wonder how could these guys do some of the finest music in the genre. Whenever i'm walking in the street on my way to work and listening to this part of the song I start headbanging like crazy.

max cavalerra is a great artist..without him it can be like this...your power is owsome
37 now.....fuck it. Still love them! This Desperate Cry and Arise were the best on Arise but I always let it play through...inner self oh yeah
toby fairman I know right? SO DAMN GOOD. They both have that similar intro charge-up that just makes me want to chisel a brick wall away with my skull.
@TheGuitarBattles I picked up Arise back in '91 and have been a fan ever since. I would suggest getting that one after Morbid Visions. Also, they are from Brazil...in case you wanted to know. have fun listening.
@rounder421
Was just thinking that and found your comment! The Ball was the soundtrack to my Saturday nights, those were the days!

O maior clássico do death metal brasileiro.

@Youboob99 You sir have excellent taste in music. I think it's the controlled bursts of speed in both songs that make them great. I always say, most underrated Metallica song, Disposable Heroes. And Arise album is fuckin ridiculous awesome
Is that a Hohner B-bass Paulo is rockin' out on? Can't tell for sure. I used to have a Hohner B-bass V......I miss it.
Damn right my friend, he is a great drummer and he shows on "Arise". Even though I don't own "Arise" or "Beneath The Remains", I've heard his playing on songs like Mass Hypnosis, Inner Self, Arise, Desperate Cry etc. and he really nailed them!

PPPFF INCREIBLE
@Zoodist Yeah they are both awesome! sepulturas earlier stuff around BTR time was like slayer I think because they were the biggest bands at that time playing slightly darker thrash than the other members of the big 4 for example. Anyways they are both awesome similar or not!
@brasileirorusso e as hiper subestimadas bandas dos anos 80, taurus, dorsal atlântica, azul limão, centúrias?

This song is fucking good!!!ONE OF THE BEST METAL BANDS IN HISTORY!!! NO FUCKING COMPARISON!!!
3:10 and so begins the heaviest and greatest Metal riff of all time,..it's just a complete tragedy that Sepultura turned into a "Bongo Metal" band after Arise..
Yep, simple and brain-bashing heavy.
@HoodedStalker Slayer sounds fkn awesome in fast way!

I'm gonna go give them my fucking money now and buy their music!:)
We play this one at our local country club, the mosh pits by the buffet table are quite riveting
Some headbangers are alive! Salut...
@NearbyHermit If you think Slayer are too fast try listening to Dark Angel and Sadus. Reign in Blood is the only album that is "too fast".
