2004 was the peak of Cartoon network
2004 was just the peak year in general, i swear lol
@@icemanbenito
2004 was the shiznit as a year
In general.
I think the summer of 2005 was.
I miss when cartoon Network actually cared.
Yeah
To be honest I miss being a kid and I keep missing all the old shows that were apart of Cartoon Network
me too 😭😭😭
Facts
I miss old cartoon network 💔💔💔
This is awesome i miss the old cartoon Network good days
youka Naze me too yo dude
youka Naze. I hope 🤞 the old Cartoon Network good old days come back
People do not know what they have until it is gone. I remember when CN City replaced the previous Powerhouse era and people complained, saying it was horrible, unfaithful, blah blah blah. Now...? People miss it.
UA-cam User. Yes
I loved Cartoon Network in 2004. The fact that it was the end of the Powerhouse Era earlier in the year and the start of the City Era later in the year made the programming & variety very diverse throughout the year! Justice League Unlimited, Megas XLR, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends premiered this year which were very fun memories to experience!
TWO96 Same. I loved Cartoon Network city era in 2004 but when the city era first launch a lot of the original cartoon cartoons(with the exception of ed Edd n Eddy, KND, and Billy and Mandy) here and there got moved to the Friday night death time slots which was kinda a shame becuase back then I couldn’t stay up late. And most of their new shows that come out during the city era like hi hi puffy ami yumi and juniper lee were mediocre at best and not very popular. Ben 10, Justice league unlimited, Fosters home for imaginary friends, and Megas XLR were the only good shows to come out during the city era. The city era scheduling was good but not as good as the powerhouse era scheduling because IMO powerhouse has better scheduling and management.
Joseph Bradley yeah power puff girls did air during the first few months at the city era at the time but still kinda sucked that it moved to the death time slots, Cartoon Cartoon show, and Top 5. Probably because Cartoon netowrk is trying to make room for newer programming which most of those shows come out during the city era( Except Megas XLR, Ben 10, Fosters, and JLU) Weren’t that good.
Early when the rebrand started CN still aired most their Cartoon Cartoons on their regular slots. The only one that I recall being removed from their regular schedule if not completely removed from their schedule was Cow and Chicken. Prior to the rebrand Mike Lu n Og and Sheep in the Big City both were already removed from the schedule I am guessing due to low ratings. But during the first half of the city era CN aired all their Cartoon Cartoons with exception of the ones that I mentioned above. It wasn’t until somewhere in 2005 when Dexter Lab, Johnny Bravo, PPG and Time Squad got removed from the schedule to later be placed on the Cartoon Cartoon Show in fall of ‘05.
2004'2016❤
1992-2004: doing great
2005-2006: what’s happening
2007: uh oh( the only show I’d watch on CN was chowder in the late 2000s)
2008: couldn’t be worse
2009: I spoke too soon
2010: a good year but why are you still airing live action shows
2011: why are you still airing live action shows and why are you ending at 9pm
2012: why are you still airing live action shows, overall great year and they moved back to ending at 10pm
2013: what’s happening
2014: uh oh
2015-2019: WELCOME TO HELL
2020-present: kill me
Reminds me of being 6 years old
Wow a lot of these commercials brought me back lol especially the chocolate one
I zoned out for a while and was waiting for the episodes to start. miss these days so much.
I loved the 2004 additions with Justice League unlimited, fosters home for imaginary friends and some of the other 2004 additions that come on T.V!!! 2004 isn't a year, it's a feeling!!!
This was only 2 days before my 5th birthday
So nostalgic when I was a kid, I miss this version of CN
It is interesting since so many people complained when it came to be.
I remember these commercials from the day after I turned 3 from 16 years ago.
I was like 6 when CN updated its logo for the first time but its crazy that there were people dedicated to recording rips of TV shows during this time. relives memories
God so many memories , what I would do to get it back..
1:26 bro. I remember how hungry this commercial made me as a kid. it looked so goooood
Same here!
This makes me feel like I'm in my cousins house again when I was still in kindergarten.
I was 1 year old but I can somehow remember some of these
Miss the old cartoon network
Well, so long checkerboard! The city era is here!
This has a retro feel
Well now I just want a chocolate factory

Cartoon Network city is awesome i miss that
Yeah. Me too I missed the city era I think it was one of the best era of CN. But I kinda prefer the powerhouse scheduling over city era while the city era has a lot of variety of shows during that time a lot of the Cartoon cartoons(except ed Edd n Eddy, KND, and Billy and Mandy) moved to Friday night death time which kinda sucked because im a fan of Dexters lab, PPG, and Courage, that’s why I prefer the powerhouse scheduling over city era scheduling. City era has some great shows but a lot of CN shows that debuted during the city era Like Juniper lee, Camp lazlo, puffy ami yumi etc were either mediocre at best or forgotten which is one of the biggest weakness of the city era from what I noticed. Fosters, Megas XLR and Ben 10 were the only good shows and most popular shows that first debuted during the city era.
@@carlottajohns8691 Actually, I recall PPG and Dexter airing outside of Late Friday Nights, Cartoon Cartoon Show, and Top 5 back in the City Era. I remember Dexter airing at 6AM at one point, which yeah is a death slot, but it is a better slot than the Late Friday Night 2AM slot. I also remember Dexter and PPG airing at 2PM on Weekdays in the City Era and Powerpuff Girls did air new episodes during the early City Era. I even recall in 2005, when they premiered the 2 PPG episodes that hadn't aired in the US yet (Aside from See Me, Feel Me Gnomey, which was banned) and it was on a Friday Night where it had a marathon with Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi.
Yeah, Dexter and PPG weren't as prominent in the City Era as The Eds, KND, and Billy & Mandy, but they still were represented well. I still remember coming home from pre-school and watching them in Late 2005. I'd even say that the City Era was pretty much the last era that they had somewhat of a prominence as they were pretty much removed permanently in Early 2006 (Yeah, they were removed in August 2005 as their Late Friday Night Slots were replaced, but that was more of a break than anything, as they soon returned in Fall 2005 in the 2PM hour on Weekdays, while in Early 2006, they were pretty much permanently removed) and they were only seen on Top 5 and Cartoon Cartoon Show. Dexter had moved to Boomerang in January 2006 and PPG didn't make it's way to Boomerang until later on
Joseph Bradley I have to agree with u. PPG And dexter lab did aired at 2pm timeslots on weekdays. And I’ll be honest with u the only good shows that came out during the city era was Camp lazlo, hi hi puffy ami yumi, Fosters home, Ben 10 , Krypto the superdog and Megas xlr. I didn’t really cared for the other Programs Like juniper lee(a rip-off of American dragon Jake long), My gym partners a money and Squirrel boy. The city era had plenty of variety especially the summer 2005 year which is awesome. The city era still had plenty of variety and great shows until April 2006. Then when the Yes era I kinda seen CN starting to slacking off/decline in quality because of its crappy shows like MGPAM And Squirrel boy. Miguzi is starting to get kinda bland/stale during that time, Toonami was still decent in 2006 but it did went downhill in 2007. But in fall 2007 CN really fucked up and went really downhill. Because it cancelled a lot of shows, toonami was just naruto filler marathon, and Fried dynamite was terrible, a lot of crappy canadian shows came out(with the exception of total drama, 6teen and Johnny test which are the only ones I loved) But it has some great CN shows like Chowder and Flapjack.
I feel so old 😨😢😭 and I'm only 25!
Same.. 😭 sometimes I wish I could go back to being a kid for like a month! Lol
Yeah if I could choose at least 2 years to relive I'd choose 04-05 CN's 2 best years😳😢😭
Try being 30 when you were
Only 13 in 2004 .
I can tell by the H-B logo editing error at 18:17 that the "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?" episode that just ended was "Never Ape an Ape Man." One of my favorites!
this year marked the end of the Powerhouse era and went to the City era! (plus I was there, just 4 days after when I turned 12 when this was recorded!) plus what were the episodes from these shows?!
12:13 god I love seeing this commercial so much. So many sweet romantic songs.
I had just turned 13 on that day.
So many happy memories. Cartoon Network made my childhood special back in the day.
You know, these commercials and bumpers really do make me appreciate how great we had it, and how much we took it for granted.
10:59-11:29 #CartoonNetworkNostalgia
At the time remembering this stuff living in tucson az has to be the best child of my life (now i'm 26 years old)
Same I’m 26. I think we grew up in the perfect time, no smartphones so we still enjoyed the simple times of being a kid but also had video games to keep us entertained when there was nothing else to do. It was Perfect balance between the “old times” and modern times.
@@Tyler_Owen23 damn streight
9:47 - A reference to Scooby-Doo and Courage the Cowardly Dog (the "stupid dog" quote only).
Not to mention the meddling kid part
I miss the city bumpers they were so cool now we have some stupid kids face in a weird snap chat video awkwardly placed in a Teen Titans go clip..
11:43-12:13 I Remember This Promo!
I hope and pray that Cartoon Network can return to this kind of glory and creativity someday. Today's CN is just so empty, bland and boring with 3-5 cartoons only.
its not coming back this new one just sucks
Ikr! 2004 was Cartoon network's peak time. I used to worry about what should I watch as CN was filled with shows so many good shows.
Good old days 😌
The bumper at 6:04 how can I get that music I wanna loop it
3:12 Code Lyoko
Courage was the best

Can You Imagine Cartoon Network Today Without Teen Titans Go?
2004 was the year that Johnny Bravo has concluded
I Was 11 Years Old Back In 2004
I wanna cry right now 😭
i think it will be cool for a block it called CN CITY
the old cartoon network should come back
0:40 Nigel Planter and the Chamber Pot of Secrets
A Billy & Mandy episode which aired on 16 July 2004, alongside its another episode "Circus of Fear".
@@Adadevoh2000 Oddly, Wikipeida says that it aired on August 6th.
