I don't have a video of that but if you message me on my FB page with a photo of your filter canister or area, I should be able to offer some advice. facebook.com/theSpaGuy/
I have just now seen this question, and you have probably figured it out by now. But for anyone else who comes along and has the same question, you press the temp button. The screen will flash temperature. When it does press the temp button again and it will either go up or down. If it goes the opposite of the way you want, wait about 3 seconds and it will quit flashing the set temp. Then press it again, and it will go the opposite direction of what it previously did. Keep pressing until you find the desired temperature. If you go up to 104, it will reverse and start going down again. Same thing if you go down to 80. It will reverse and start going up.
I'm not sure where you live, but much of the nation is in s heat wave. This is something we often see during extended hot weather. It's called thermal creep. Nothing is wrong with your spa. It just isn't designed to cool water, and when it's this hot, the water will continue to heat even when it's at our above the set temperature. This is because heat is generated from the friction in your pump. In fact, some small spas don't use a heating element at all, but rather utilize the friction from the pump to heat the tub. So, when your spa is already at the set temperature, and it's too hot outside for natural cooling, when the pump kicks on for is filtration cycle, the temperature will creep up. There are 2 things you can do. 1) if you have the ability to adjust your filtration cycle, set it at the lowest filter time per day to reduce the thermal creep. 2) drain about 2 inches of water from your spa, and run fresh water in to reduce the temperature. Until the heat wave ceases, you may need to do it every few days, depending on the severity of the issue in your area. I hope that helps. 🙂
hh is a code telling you the water is overheated at the heater. Sometimes it is ohh. It is an indication that there isn't enough water flow over the heater to keep it cool, and is in danger of burning out. This error code usually shuts down the heater until you hit a button on the panel. But, you should figure out why you don't have enough flow. It could be a dirty filter, or low water level, an air bubble in the pump, Or, an obstruction in the water line caused by calcium deposits or something else. I hope this is helpful. 🙂
Very helpful!!
Glad it was helpful!
thanks!! Saved me a pile of head scratching!
