Guilty. My warmup is just as you discussed, warming up the joints and ligaments through joint rotation and wall stretches for all the associated muscle groups on the menu for that rotation, then starting with very light weights, so, there is some resistance warm up, but basically what you just describe. 🤣
Looking forward to trying this out. Really appreciate you taking the time to explain how you’re doing that / what you’re mentally and physically queuing. Very informative.
I've been going to the gym for years, after getting out of the Marines, and I've never warmed up. Just been lazy. These look like a great way to add warm ups to my routine. 💪🏼🇺🇸
Thank you bro, I've also just been doing stretches, but I'm just now figuring out what the resistance bands can be used for. Awesome, I'll incorporate it into my training!
Everyone is different. I do 10 reps of over head bands (red band) stretch my shoulders. Then a warm up set of whatever workout we're gonna do. If it's bench, Ill start with 25lb plates. 4-5 normal reps, 2-3 deep slow reps and 4-5 normal reps. After that Im ready to start my working sets
@@mugshotmarley Agree 100%. Some do things throughly and effectively and some don’t. What you just described would fall directly under the “very typical” / “poor” / “half assed” warm up. But to each their own brother.

Yeah i always look at guys in our gym. None of them does any warmup. I think military is just built that way.
@m4tchm4k3r5 For sure. I will say I did a couple of these this morning before back day and I did feel a little better during the workout.

I’ve had shoulder issues on lifts for about a year. I bet this will completely fix that, thanks bro ❤ ☠️ 🤘

You are right, most of us dont do enough of warmup as we suposed to. I think this is especially true for military guys.

I’m the dummy who presses the bar to warm up. Time to change techniques.
