Thank you for the thorough review of this fine work I made when I was 13. Yes, pretty crappy, but awesome that it is still being talked about! This was made pre-internet with primitive tools and was a fun challenge that launched my software dev career. I lifted some art from Heretic, clip art, and yes, Halloween Harry - good eye and memory! Some of the art was original - drawn in Corel Draw, or photographed with an early digital camera (yes, my hand), and some of the sounds were recorded with a cassette player or downloaded from BBSs. The hand drawn red guy was Steve’s and I still have no idea what it is, but it’s so bad it’s good. Cheers!

I always love when the author leaves a comment, I hope you enjoyed the video :) haha I made plenty of terrible flash games when I was 13, if only I was cool enough to be making custom Doom content instead. It's the Bach composition, Toccata & Fugue in A Minor I believe. That's pretty much public domain territory. I'm quite sure the Phantom of the Opera theme is different from that track. You should be fine.
ah ok cool. I just saw the name in the text file of the wad. I was more worried about the Addam's Family theme but good news, no restrictions :)

- If I had to take a stab, the Pinkies look like a traditional "Wolfman", in that its a slightly hairy dude with a wolf face.
- I can't tell about the pants upside down. It's either a reference to the NES game "Monster Party" which is known for having an enemy that is a set of upside down _legs_, or its a reference to a prank that I've only heard in passing but I swear I've heard of before where you put a pair of pants outside when it's freezing cold such that they stay stiff, then you put it upside down on someone's lawn. Or maybe I'm overthinking it and it's just a dude with his torso buried in the ground.
- I have no clue about the head. It looks like it came out of Ken's Labrynth.
- I think the line is "How about a little fire, Scarecrow?", from Wizard of Oz.
- That fake floor trick feels like it belongs in a modern wad with a psychological "Things are not what they seem" theme.
- Surprised you didn't comment on "CELL" being replaced with "BEER"!

duuuude I remember alien carnage. I was drawn into it because it was kinda like duke nukem 2 iirc. I haven't thought about that game in so long xd

Nice, yeah Alien Carnage was called "Halloween Harry" here in Australia. It was actually made by an Aussie developer and for some reason their publisher thought "halloween harry" wasn't a good title for the north american market, hence the change. But yeah, I played the shit out of the shareware of halloween harry as a kid. I thought it had a really cool premise.
