Thanks for checking this out! Composing 'Old World' was truly a fantastic experience, with collaborators from Beirut to Budapest, Dubai to Zurich, Istanbul to Melbourne. I grew so much as a person having worked on this. Check out all the other music inspired by ancient civilizations (Carthage, Rome, Assyria, etc.), as well as the title song 'I Lift My Eyes' performed by the incredible Abeer Nehme, and the Arabic Suite of four traditional Arabic musical forms reinvented in collaboration with contemporary Arab musicians. Link in video description!
Hi Christopher , thank you for sharing snippets of your Old World...you have titillated our aural senses....hope to hear the full version of the score on cd...after your elegy to the birds?
Mesmerizing. That’s the only word that comes to my mind. As a Civilization fan, I know all your songs. As a teacher, I weekly wear your Baba Yetu hoodie in class. Warm wishes from the Netherlands and keep up the good work!

Just played Baba Yetu for my 7th grade students here in Brazil today! We are learning about Africa before the Europeans started colonizing and I love to use Baba Yetu at this point.
Christopher Tin, Your music is very beautiful. I'm surprised you haven't been approached to do film score. Music is the emotional spine of movies, and I suspect you could contribute a great deal to a film.
Christopher Tin - you never disappoint, and have outdone yourself yet again! I Lift My Eyes is hauntingly beautiful and inspiring - great composition and unbelievable vocals by Abeer Nehme. Just....wow....
So beautiful and majestic! This is taking me back to the great Persian Empire with King Darius the Great and Xerxes. I can also smell the incense and aroma of Persia. Chris, you are truly so awesome!!
I said I won't cry... I said I won't... but the hammered dulcimer (I do hope it is Santur) always evokes a grieving emotional response. Lie in peace, great Achaemenid Persia, sons and daughters of Great Kuruš, Messiah of Elnohim God on High, King of Kings, Divine off-spring of Ahura Mazda, Liberator, Humanist. Rest in peace my beloved Persia. ;-;
Christopher Tin's genius comes from his attitude toward digital albums. His record is perfect. This is something that other modern masters such as joe Hisaishi can not follow.
Ancient spice bazaars. Busy caravanserais providing a moment's respite for the weary travellers. All the glory of Persepolis is beautifully rendered in this haunting tune.
Incredible piece like Laways Tin! It reminded me a lot of soundtracks from my fav game Ragnarok online, songs like Morroc, Sphinx, Piramid soundtracks! but yours is so epic and majestic!
Christopher Tin: esta melodía me transporta a varios siglos atrás! Tu creatividad no tiene límites. Tu humilde carácter, es lo más peculiar en ti. Amigo; soy tu Fan N° 1!
Wow, marvelous ! I loved it, a drasticly different register but you nailed it. The use of typical instruments is beautifully done and the global harmony is magnificient. Again, well done !!
Hi Christopher, just turn on and was sonically awaken and refreshed after weekend and repeated viewings of dune.Just like reaching the oasis and welcome by your quenchful delight.Kudos to your musical collaborators for evoking the atmospheric soundscape.Cannot wait to hear the rest of your opus.Thank you.
The map is "up-side-down" to modern representations and starts from Italy going east towards Persia. In case anyone's wondering. And of course a beautiful song.
I've been loving playing Old World, I'm very impressed with what they've accomplished with it, and knowing that they have some OG developers from Civ IV working on it makes me appreciate it more. I have also found myself entranced by the soundtrack. Little did I know that it was composed by Chris Tin himself!?! My appreciation for this game has reached new heights.
It´s really great to hear a new composition from you. I love the sheer variety of musical styles and while this piece was not as grand or epic as some of your others it was still a good experience to listen to.
Hey Chris, any chance you can publish the credits for this album on your website? I want to know who all the wonderful musicians are but digital music stores don't show that info.
Keep calm & love spreading good vibes, following your biggest success of Baba Yetu, wish you enjoy the inspiration of folk songs that have very cute successful melodic paths, audience always apreciate them, BRAHMS knew it so well, most classical composers used folk songs to give their compositions a great symbolic meaning, you can do great things indeed, including the Persian traditional music is very interesting to enjoy indeed
Hello master Tin As a Persian, i am Really gratful to listen this masterpiece but there is no relation between this Song and Persian rich music and culture, this Song is more an Arabic Song with just Persian instrument and there is a huge different between them Thanks 🙏
I just got done giving my self a sonic lobotomy by listening to poop didey scoop by Kanye on I’ll conceived dare and this is just what I needed to recover
I seem to have found it myself: the source appears to be the Tabula Rogeriana by Muhammad al-Idrisi: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_al-Idrisi#/media/File:TabulaRogeriana_upside-down.jpg

If played at the very beginning, I believe this would well set the scene long before any characters were introduced. Very beautiful indeed! Thanks!
Hope you get a big Hollywood movie soundtrack project one of these days.
With your music we travel through time and space without borders! Thank you Maestro!! 🎵🎶🎵⌚🎶🗺️🎵🧭🎶⏳🎵🎶🎵
Waw Super Musician... Lovely Tune... Thanks for the Share Sir Tin
Yes, the iconic duo again! My ears have been blessed, now I can't wait to play the game!

As always, your music is just fantastic. Thank you sir for all your amazing works!
This is fantastic!! Thanks for sharing!!
Awesome.
Christopher, you are such a competent and versatile composer! You are like Nino Rota and Nobuo Uematsu.
Why does this remind me of the good old days of Legend of Zelda DS? It feels like a Persian themed dungeon bgm!
Mesmerizing! Absolutely fantastic work, as always! :)
계속 들을 수 밖에 없는 노래! 매우 멋진 노래다!

For Kuruš II my favourite shah!
With this music someone will be able to create completely new, united world. Maybe reform society in way noone ever tried?

Can we get rome next pleaseeee
Wow got som Runescape vibes.
What is the map showing?
The Mediterranean/Middle East! But it’s upside down because that’s how they perceived it back then.
Christopher Tin 🤯
Rumor has it this legendary composer likes or responds to every comment. We shall see
I’ll do both in your case!
Fascinating. Apparently the rumor is more than true. God bless you, sir.
If only you had been the composer for the excellent Dune; the heights to which the movie could have ascended to…
Anyone know what the map in the background is based on?
I seem to have found it myself: the source appears to be the Tabula Rogeriana by Muhammad al-Idrisi: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_al-Idrisi#/media/File:TabulaRogeriana_upside-down.jpg

Hey, AMAZING, majestic music! Did you just inspired maybe by my song: "City of Constantinople" or "Rome Glory?! I hear the same ancient climate!
Thank you! And no, I haven’t heard those songs.
Is the full soundtrack on youtube just to be clear?
Yes
