- We are so psyched to finally welcome to the show, Phoenix Suns guard and superstar, Devin Booker. This is such a fantastic interview about Devin's journey in the NBA, what makes him motivated night in and night out and the state of this year's Phoenix Suns team. So much to cover so let's get to it!

as a lifelong Suns fan it’s been amazing seeing Book grow and evolve into the player he is today, from seeing him suffer with bottom feeder teams and being willing to stick it out with us and let the team come to him is something that doesn’t get talked about enough when it comes to player loyalty and love for an organization
Honestly, it’s all these new NBA fans hating on him. Book stuck around since he was drafted (I think in 2017?) suffered through some bad Phoenix teams, and now he’s contending for titles. He’s also just super entertaining to watch and has improved a ton defensively.

Book needs more respect. Old school. Tough. Respects the game and tradition.. Crazy talented who gets better yearly. And all class off court. Does a ton for the community and fans. Knows the city and organization history.

I’m so glad JJ is so respected by current NBA players. I don’t think there is really anyone else in NBA media who can get so many players to sit down and have a candid conversation for an hour. Love to see it.

Every team needs their own Devin Booker. He is loved in the valley and he reciprocates it back to the city. Other than trash talking on the court, he reps the valley and stays out of trouble. I can't recall any serious issues with him off court. There's just little to no drama with him.

I'm a Miami Heat fan & I am soooooooooo annoyed that we didn't draft Devin Booker lol. His game is incredible. Suns have been my 2nd favorite team the past 2 seasons so I root for Phoenix except against my Heat.

Haven't watched yet, but so excited to see this! Been hoping for an interview with Book for a long time.
Book in last years playoffs showed how good he can be. Book is such a team player that sometimes he forgets that no one can guard him. Even KD has expressed how he loves when Book is aggressive because Suns are so deadly when Booker’s scoring. I believe Book 100% can and possibly will be the #1 guy on championship winning teams

Really enjoyed this interview. Their shared passion for the game showed through, and most of all I enjoyed the comfortability of the conversation. Almost felt as if I was at the table with them, waiting my turn to speak.
when jj was talking about his favourite things in basketball and got to talking about cp you could tell he was legit getting emotional, thats passion right there... thats why everybody who actually cares listens to you jj, keep it going

D book one of those dudes you hate because he’s playing against your team but it’s a compliment to him that he’s the one who draws all the attention and blame for the suns beating whatever team the angry fan was cheering for. He’s the kind of player who is LOVED by his fans and teammates and hated by the enemy fans and teams. He’s exactly who you want on your team, he is a winning player and a culture driver as well as as of recently, being a culture driver on the court as well playing the team game. Only question is where will he end up ranking for suns all time goat player.
JJ said "I have a lot of favorite things..." Well...I now have yet another favorite pod episode...never heard Book speak at length before. Impressive young man, sheds a lot of light on why he's great and continuing to grow as a player. Hope the Suns are fully healthy so we can see what they can really do in the playoffs

Hey JJ huge fan of the pod, huge sixers fan. Was at the game vs the pacers where you hit the fadeaway 3 over Myles turner and many others. This and the 2nd Dame episode are 2 of my favorite episodes. Being a younger brother myself my gosh did the big brother stuff hit home. Brought me to tears. I’m 22 my brother is 25. Have looked up to him and chased him my whole life. Played with his friends constantly in the driveway. We now both work for my dad who owns a concrete and masonry company in south Jersey and I still find myself constantly chasing him, looking up to him and of course competing with him. Keep up the amazing work man.
