I picked up a new J22 back in 89 too. And I got it for $50. I gave it to my then new wife. It was the first gun she owned. She carried it for several years and it was her house gun. I eventually gave her a new Taurus 38 snub and she gave me the Jennings back. I ended up using it in a trade I made. I have had several of the Jennings 22's, 380's and a 9mm or two over the years. I honestly had pretty good luck out of these ole cheap guns.
Oh boy that brings memories... I have a Jennings J 22 from the same family of guns and it works when it wants to. I bought it new about forty years ago and even though it's not real dependable I'll never sell it. She is in her original box with manual , sentimental value I guess. Nice to see you in a gun video Rob.
Awesome! I have the Jennings 32 & it’s pretty reliable. You are lucky you found your spring I had to order a new one and it took two years to find the old one
Not high quality, but they do kinda shoot. 25 is pretty anemic, but I don't want to stand in front of it. Your price was not that bad. I'm seeing these at shows for upwards of two bills. A fun addition to the collection for sure!
I love the ring of fire guns and their descendants like this one. Can be traced back to the Ravens of the early 70s. Typically they run ok and parts are plentiful. Enjoy it!
It brings back some years thanks Rob. God Bless.
Gotta love the _Ring of Fire_ family... 🤠👍
I have a j22 version. I picked it up brand new back in 89 for 50.00.

I have a Jennings J22, need to get a mag for it.
Thanks Rob

I would have tried for 50 too. Maybe hose out the mag good and oil it and maybe it will work better
Cool little plinker
Great video! Try soaking the magazine in WD-40
Can’t believe the price of ammo these days 😫. 50 bucks isn’t a bad price for something that goes bang ‼️
Neat little pocket pistol Rob! Give it a try it might surprise you and work fine!
Way back in the 80s I had a J-22 And a J-25,, they sucked. Thanks for sharing. 😁

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET Rob , Looking forward to seeing you try it out !

If it doesn't work out I think you know somebody from Ohio that loves these 😂. Ammo is outrageous for them.
If you want a little .25acp pistol that you can shoot, check out the Phoenix Arms HP25.
You're probably going to need a new mag. The 25 cal version you have are generally pretty reliable. The 22 cal versions are far less reliable.
Not even a good gun, but it’s a gun! Love it! So right! Sometimes you just want something new to you
Spray some brake cleaner in it and flush it out
I lube my mags and check tension all the time, most people never clean their guns much less the mags, lol
Well at least you got one ..lol
