SOMEONE NEEDS TO SAY that most presenters range from terrible to competent whe it comes to singing, but man, that little bit you played and sang was GREAT.
Waw okay just throw in that vocal magic at the end why don't yah! Thanks for the demo. Just got this as a musician and am pretty darn excited to start working with it :)
This. I don't know that I'd buy the revelator for music production, but for zoom calls and podcasts, it's amazing when you take the price point and features into account.
If anyone planning of purchasing one, understand that that "lovely" mic stand has no floor noise rejection. Every time you tap the desk, a bomb will explode in your headphones! Pressing any buttons or turning the volume knob while live, will make louder noise than the mic. You can see and hear how the presenter is feather touching, even the iPad and you can hear the thumbs in the audio. You HAVE to use a shock-mount to make any proper use of this mic. After setting up a preferred FAT channel, changing to any other module option, you will lose the settings. As to the mic audio, it's less than average unless you engage the FAT channel.
Prefered the Presonus Revelator's full bodied sound, In comparison to the Aston's. Sounds like you could eq the Revelator to sound something like the Aston. Thanks for the info and comparison.
Great video! I also bought it recently and I really want to figure out how to best set it for my voice. For example which FAT channels should I be changing to best fit my voice? Currently using the standard male broadcast setting but I feel the mic can offer me so much more!
Hello! Great review! I'm sold with this microphone, how does it do with background noise versus a dynamic microphone? Should I buy this for 100USD or Presonus relevator dynamic for 155USD?
I just bought this microphone, and it sounds no where near as good as you can get it to sound. For one, I have yet to figure out what settings are the best. I have tried several combination of settings, and they nearly all sound horrible. There is so many options to set, how am I supposed to know how to set them up. I have also, yet to find a video that explains in simple terms what i need to do step by step.
The Revelator sounded better to my ears ... but, if you are using a preset on it and not adding any EQ or compressor to the other mic, you may not be getting a clear picture of the difference in the two mics.
Cool concept but both of mine have a lovely 60Hz hum only on either of my MBPro laptops but not my Mac mini. If I unplug the wall wart from my MBPros the hum goes away. Also found it had to stay on the table stand. I had to make sure the side screw was nice and tight. If it wasn’t tight I could wiggle the USBC and I get nasty crackling and that lovely 60Hz ground hum. Which means the threaded bottom mic stand adapter is useless if i have to keep the table stand attached. How dumb would that look on camera. So my thought is that when it works it sound very nice BUT the handling noise Is awful. Don’t try to press buttons on the mic when it’s “live”. I don’t understand why they didn’t put a better solid body with better handling rejection especially if you need to turn the volume up or down. I’m probably sending this back to the store and wait for Shure to make one. On a scale of 1-10 it’s a 0

The Aston definitely sounded better but the Presonus looks so convenient.

Presonus, this review was the decider for me. Thank you
How did you set it up so you can control the Revelator from your iPad?
I’ve been trying to figure it out for a hot minute now...
You sound better on the Revelator, your voice sounds richer.

This or AT2020USB+? Both are $60 now
that intro was SICK. Revelator sounded better to me

The Aston is the winner, for sure. But the PreSonus makes a really compelling argument, especially for the price.
This loopback feature comes with the interface or also with the mic!

Presonus mic gave a more full feel that the other. Good info
Спасибо!!!
Nice review
Really nice singing!
Thank you very much!

Very useful bub. And by the way you don’t have enough guitars!
So can you use the software to modify the presets? This thing is seriously interesting
Can you use your phone to do simple recording and mixing with it?
What is the app you use from the iPad ?
Tebrikler, güzel bir anlatım..

the other mic is much clearer and less boomy than the Revelator. Depending on the voice and the room one or the other is better IMHO.
How did you connect your iPad to the mic ?

Hi, there. Great video! Quick question. What is the song name of your intro? It’s such a nice beat.
Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine. There are various Artists' versions' but this is the original one.
@@justaviewperse8013 Thank You.
@@Raduhcal Bit late but you are more than welcome.
Is it better than rode nt1a??
Is this mic good at not picking the background noise while you are on Zoom?
Just ordered one autotune here I come 😂
Revelator has warmer sound
yeah, looks a boost on low mid section (200 - 500 hz)
