Public Land Rifle Mule Deer Hunt - "Lazarus"
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 жов 2024
- Competition can be fierce when it comes to public land deer hunting. And this hunt exhibits exactly that.
From the personal screw ups on mature bucks to one animal being sniped out from underneath our noses - filming and hunting definitely have its challenges.
They say professional sports are games seconds and inches - this also rings true for hunting.
One thing we take pride in is showing you exactly how it happens. Raw footage. Real stories.
We are human beings. We aren't perfect. We miss. We screw up. We don't always hit the bullseye or the 12 ring; however, we constantly strive to become better hunters, outdoorsmen, and conservationists.
We do our best to take animals as quickly, ethically, and humanely as possible, but the reality is it doesn't always work out that way.
These animals we pursue have an unprecedented will to live and with that, they don't give up the ghost easily.

Here's the thing. Mistakes were made, lessons were learned and you shared all of that. You could have easily just not posted this, but you did, and I appreciate that transparency. As a fledgling hunter I learned something.
Thanks for the kind words, Greg. As is much with life hunting isn't a perfect thing. We learned a lot. We shall apply the learnings and get better. Thanks for watching.
I don’t care if the shot was 30 or 600 yards, if he’s up it’s time to abandon all stealth and make sure the shooter knows he needs to send another round.
That's right Jack. ^5
We don't disagree with you there. We all made some mistakes on this hunt, but we are constantly learning and striving to be better!
I’m sad with the long distance trend in hunting. I’d much rather get close than talk about how far. I don’t think people practice enough at distance. We owe the critters more respect.
Chock it up to inexperience. First you do not loose sight of the buck when it is down, then when following the buck, need to have the rifle ready for another shot, not in a backpack that takes too long to get it out.
Good Hunt the bottom line is that it is a very nice buck.
Agreed Z.
Once I fire I stay down on the scope/rifle and never lose sight/track of the target. I also get ready for a followup shot if needed.
You have to practice long range shots and it's better to practice on animals unless you would like to volunteer to eat grass
@@bobsaap2872 I guess I was thinking gongs or paper targets might work. Or maybe stalking, using the wind etc to get closer. I live and hunt in Montana-can be pretty wide open. I try and get as close as possible before pulling the trigger. I don't like to wound things, and I hate blood trailing. Cheers
Bob Sapp for the fail
Been going through your videos and really appreciate you guys showing the whole hunt. Mistakes and mess ups and all. Happens to everyone and all you can do is learn from them. Awesome video and glad Erik was able to get it done!
The realities of public land hunting are as follows: lots of pressure from other hunters, skittish animals, and often times scarcity in game. Especially on public OTC units. Add in nature, wild animals, and nerves and a lot can definitely go wrong. If Erik wasn't comfortable and hadn't made this shot many times in the past he would not have attempted it. We are all subject to mistakes and mishaps; however, it's how we learn from them and get better! Striving to becomes the best versions of ourselves as human beings and also as hunters is what we are aiming to do.
Muley Freak absolutely! Don’t get me wrong - I’m not criticizing Erik at all. Thanks for the great content and repping us western hunters.
Thanks for replying back, brother! We appreciate your feedback and being a part of our channel and most of all your positive attitude. Best of luck to you this year in the field in 2020!
Never celebrate too early! Thats what you get!! Always be ready for a follow up shot...
Agreed, Quincy! Lessons learned.
A good shot can make a long shot, a good hunter doesn't have to!
Well stated Ebuckb13. ^5
Very well said.
Agreed, it would've been different if he had his bow. Yesterday I watched him shoot an elk in the chest with an arrow and made a bad shot loosing the elk with a broken arrow in it. Bad decisions and shots. Killing for content is unacceptable. The other guys on this channel seem great.
Day 2 lesson; don't leave gun 15 yards behind you when sneaking up to spot Buck. Day 3 lesson; don't celebrate too soon especially on extremely long shots. Congrats on a nice old Buck!
Agreed!
Learning every day.
Agreed James. ^5
I was thinking same thing
Spot on! I was thinking the same thing.
Good work sticking with it boys. That first buck wasn’t worth loosing. Sadly it’s an Immature young deer that had great potential that’s now waisted. A lot of lessons learned in this vid and thanks for sharing so that others can learn from your mistakes. I had the same thing happen to me many years ago on a 170 class muley in Montana. I never did recover that buck sadly and found him the next day but couldn’t get a shot in him. That’s hunting and if you’re not learning then you shouldn’t be in the woods. We all have to learn the hard way. Fortunately you were able to reconnect!
Eric congratulations im happy to see you recovered your wounded Mulley Nicely Done
This was painful to watch, but very educational. Appreciate that you put in all the extra effort to film this for all of us.
Thanks for watching, Just.
I send you respect for looking for him and getting him down. Grandpa always said to wait until he's down before you celebrate. Lesson well learned. Congratulations!!!!!!!
There's always lessons to be learned, Brent. Thanks for watching.
I learned that also don't celebrate till you walk up to the dead deer. Glad to see you persisted and out come was a victory 👍😉 nice
Amen. Erik lived and learned on this hunt. Thanks for watching.
Idk why you waited so long to try an take a shot at that nice buck!!!! That’s what you get for crawling up to the rock without your rifle!!!
Hey brother, we didn't know exactly where he was at the time and we were trying to go as quickly and quietly as possible. We all make mistakes, but as long as we are learning from them and striving to be better. Thanks for watching.
While I don't necessarily agree with the second shot(shooting him in the butt) I appreciate you guys striving to show how it happens. Thanks for keeping it real👊
That isn’t keeping it real. That was an embarrassment.
Awesome congrats it sucks about the first one but that’s what hunting is al about thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching, Kenny!
What was your impact velocity at that distance? I had issues with the ELD-X performing at impact velocities below 1800 FPS. I pin holed a muley doe at 310 with my .308 and that made me really learn to use a good bullet that will perform at all velocities that with be ethical. That is why I switched to the tried and true Nosler Partition for my .308. Great video and keep up the great work!
Great video! What a ride!
Not all about caliber your shooting, shot placement is a big thing, more time on the range
Nice job man. Glad you were able to put him down. Way to be Persistent
I wish the new trend would be short range shots with a rifle..not 10,000 yard long range light load off hand open sight shots
I agree with you Jay.
But you know what they say . . . "we can't fix stupid".
:)
I wish the trend was people who would hunt the way they wanted and not worry about how another individual hunts.
Uh oh . . . Brandon got his feathers ruffled!@@brandonurbaniak1890
@@skippylippy547 not at all. Just appears to be ignorant comments by individuals that's all.
People always ask. What rifle should I get my kid. My response a 30 30 teach a kid how to hunt first vs teaching how to shoot half a mile and hope it works out. A 30 30 will kill any buck easily out to 200 yards but best within a hundred . Personally I dont think it's even ethical hunting to shoot something you spotted at a thousand yards with spotting scope and then shoot from that thousand yards. Go hunt and put in the effort to fill a tag.up close and personal is a thousand times more rewarding. Archery for me is way funner because you are forced to hunt
Don't walk under any power lines with that set up! hahaha
It's long; however, it's a shooter! ;)
@@MuleyFreak We couldn't tell from the shooting in the video........
Started high-fiving a bit early on that one lol
LOL. Yes, hence, why we named this hunt "LAZURUS". As a hunter we should never celebrate too early until we know for a 100% sure our quarry has given up the ghost. A lesson learned for Erik and the entire hunting party on this one. All we can do is try learn from our mistakes and try to be better! Thanks for watching!
Can’t wait for next year to be able to take my first muley🙌🏻
Good luck and thanks for watching, Joe.
Got him tied to a tree?
Couldn't believe he jumped back up. Looked to have hit his spine but apparently not. Didn't show the placement of the first shot after the recovery. Great vid besides ya left me curious of the first shot. I expected a third shot also when he still wasn't down. Tuff old buck!
You can see exit @20:52
It's called shock. You don't have to hit the spine to bring an animal down. I knew the instant he got back up what had happened. At 650 yards with a blah blah blah cartridge.
But he was repentant so all was good in the end.
"Tuff old buck". Did you age it? They're all tough when they're trying to survive. Get shot in the back some time and see how you respond. Lots of pants pissing is my guess.
What a crock of childish bullshit.
"Just a way cool buck.". It's the memories made, etc. What a pack of ostentatious morons.
Scares me to think I might be hunting next to an idiot next year.
Haha you super hero's crack me up! Have it all figured out huh. Without a doubt "childish"!
It 100% looked as if it was a spine shot. I do appreciate ur plethora of knowledge though. Would have been lost without ya bud.
Sweet film!! You guys keep dropping great ones!!
Too busy Antler hunting and not hunting for traditions who celebrates I would have been sad I lost the meat I was after.
Good job on sticking with it and recovering that buck. I've seen that backstrap hit many times before on deer and elk, with the same "instant, drop in their tracks" reaction. The animal is seldom recovered, unless its a week later after they die of infection. Every time I see an animal drop at the shot, I get nervous now. Like you said, shooter needs to stay on the gun until they are certain the shot was fatal.
Thanks for watching, brother! Erik definitely admits to his fault in the video and the things he shouldn't have done and needed correct. We appreciate your support.
Glad to see he admitted his faults, not just to himself, but also to those that watch these videos.. Some would have found excuses galore to deflect criticism... "wind gust", sticky trigger, scope fogged, yada yada yada..
Nice video guys we subbed
What do you guys do if your gun is tied in your backpack and you jump a buck, watch a lot of this and dont understand,,Ive jumped bucks and had only seconds to get a shot off.
We call it a "no zone" shot, below the spine but above the lungs... Usually ends up being a lost animal if its an archery shot.
For sure. It's heart break at its finest. I consider myself fortunate that I caught up to the animal.
IMHO there is no such thing as an ethical 650 yd shot. We as sportsman should be setting a good example for our youth or those new to our sport and this trend of long distance shooting not only sets a bad example, but is also what contributes to giving our sport a bad name. I respect your ability, dedication an honesty, I just disagree with distance shooting. Too many try and fail and leave too many wounded animals in their wake.
We humbly disagree with your opinion on the ethics of ranged shots. It is all dependent on the equipment you have and the time you have spent behind it the gun. Obviously even with much time behind a rifle mistakes can still happen. You can wound an animal at 200 yards with a rifle as well. No one is perfect.
@@MuleyFreak Problem is there is a real long range craze being driven by youtube and long range hunting bullet technology...Too many hunters who have no business shooting an animal past 250 yards are getting into it. Any way you look at it there are more wounded animals today due to the long range trend imho.
Been waiting for a new video! Thanks for all the great content.
Thanks for watching.
Ha ha ha hugs and high fives. Hey guys the buck stood up lol
A lesson learned the hard way! You know we wont make that mistake again but we want to show people that we do make them, no one is perfect.
Love your guys videos! What song is playing at 6:35?
Thanks for watching, Reggie!!!
amazing buck!
Did that E LDX even open up? .. I'm getting mixed reviews with that bullet.. great BC values but might not have what it takes compared to other hunting bullets with lower BC values
nosler accubond is the way to go!
Back slapped the hell out of that first one. Glad y'all learned from the mistake. Good hunting.
Thanks for watching, Greg!
@@MuleyFreak My response as a guide, after a shot; "Stay on him!" "But he's down!" I don't care. Get scope back on the animal as quickly after the first shot as possible, reload, hold for at least a full minute. Especially if he drops instantly; neck, back and head shots often are close enough to spine for temporary paralysis, and animal drops impressively, then gets back up. Very glad you guys were able to catch up! Great video.
Love the buck!! All his upper mass is awesome
Thanks, buddy! We were all super pumped it all worked out the way it did.
Nice one I like your vid
I have a hard time finding anything good with this video except it shows imperfection in the feild that all hunters have faced! Me included! I'm a avid reloader I know my gun, bullets, and my own limitations. It seems this fancy gun setup and probably some good days at the range hitting paper has given the shooter a false sense of skills that drove his decision to take that extremley long shot. That buck is ranged the distance is known, and the sneek starts in my world if its flat with no cover or way to close distance that buck walks. I constantly during shooting long range practice bolt cycles without lifting my face from the cheek rest, staying in the gun after recoil to simulate a quick follow up shot if necessary. The lesson learned to be ready for follow up shots is the secondary one here. The first lesson is to question your decision to take that shot. I had a similiar experience years ago, and vowed to never do that again. I've passed some bucks that are past my known limit since then, and feel way better with that then chasing a wounded animal around for a day because a poor decision I made to take a very long shot. I did end up killing that animal, but that day burned a lasting memory that has never left me in the feild to never repeat that mistake. Good luck in your future hunting not long range shooting.
The purpose of this video is to show that there are imperfections in the field. Anyone who takes a camera out and doesn't show mistakes isn't showing the full story. Long range shooting is also a variable term and it can mean different things to different people, some feel comfortable with 650 yards some only feel comfortable with 200 and thats fine. It all depends on the equipment you have and how practiced you are with it. Ultimately Erik got back on that buck and made sure he went down.
I've seen many times first cold-bore shot shooting High. I don't care what ballistic table say on where to file your fancy-dancy scope to. Good follow-up to respect for the animal
It's true! Cold-bore tends to fly high.
Poor barrel maybe? My Savage Stealth 308 hits the same spot every time no matter if it's straight out of the case or if I lit off a 10 round string. From my experience and observations the problem is usually more about a "cold shooter" than a "cold bore". This shooter needs more practice if he's going to be taking long shots at live game.
First video I have watched of theirs, and probably the last. I just cant handle the long range stuff. Anti hunters love videos like this.
Sorry to hear that...you'll be missing out on some amazing content.
Cool buck!
Thanks for watching, Joseph!
So, good hunt vid. 175 (178gr) ELD-X (or ELD Match?). But one simple question. What caliber man? 300 Win Mag or .308 Win or ... ?
At 650 yards (based on what range finder?) I'd go with a 300 Win Mag or 300 Weatherby Mag myself... something flat enough for that long a shot. .308 seems a little low on punch that far out. But, it was a high hit; thus survivable. Somehow you managed to miss the spine, I'm guessing. The shock factor was unbelievable, the way he acted like he got hit by a truck and took a while to rebound. So, my caliber guess is 300 Win Mag. Correct?
That was one tough buck alright. BTW, what Area#? Coming WY way this Oct if the COVID-19 Marxist party ever let us leave the state by then. The kid and I just might move to the land of the free and home of the brave; which WA & BC sure as F ain't now days.
Awesome. That damn rifle is a tac driver with you behind it. Video depicts real life scenarios and shit happens.
Amen to that! Thanks for watching!
the rifle may be a tac driver, but the shooter is not that great at all.
Not sure how you can say you strive for an ethical clean kill and then take a 650 yard shot, right into the backstraps, and then be high fiving while you should be on your scope and ready for a follow up round. Sort of feels like the desire to show off on video is impairing judgment. Hunting isn’t sniping but if you are gonna take that long of a shot and post the video at least be professional and respectful. That buck deserved better. Don’t think this video does much to help the sport.
We keep this video up to help people learn lessons from our mistakes. We strive for authenticity and we aren't going to hide from mistakes we do make.
Was the first shot survivable?
In our opinion, no.
The right decision!!! 300 weatherby!
he specifically said its a 7mm......
Lmao.. haha left your rifle, who does that lol...
I didn't want to spook the potential game. Wanted to sneak in before hand and first locate the animal.
Congrats on a nice buck. Things happen, glad it worked out well for you in the end.
Thanks for watching. It's not always easy showing what really goes down in the field. Hunting isn't a perfect thing.
Muley's are so tough. The can live and thrive in the hottest desert and in the coldest mountains......awesome.
We couldn't agree more. Mule deer are extremely tough and resilient animals.
Nice buck! Lessons learned I would think.......
Lessons learned, Bret.
Crazy what these things can survive! Glad you guys got him congrats 👍🏼
MAN • Make Your Mark you should go with some body who can actually spot and stock
Ryan Knight Ok?
CONGATS ON A UNIQUE BUCK, LOVE THE CHARACTER AND THE FIGHT HE HAD
For sure. He was undoubtedly a warrior!
Not a fan of ELD-X for hunting. Watch Randy Selby talk about bullet construction, He has good insight on this subject.
Bullet had nothing to do with that shot. Any bullet on the planet wouldn't have put that buck down when you graze the top of the back.
Awesome buck congratulations
Thanks, man! Thanks for watching!
Nice Follow Up. Congrats.
Thanks, Mike!
You should have been in position and ready for a follow up shot when that Buck went down, life is one learning experience for which we can all benefit from, good luck next time.
That's the truth. Thanks for watching, brother.
what pack are u using ?
In this hunt Erik is using a Exo pack, however, he's now switched over to Kifaru packs.
When you list all you packed, you seemed short on your list. Heart? Front shoulders? Liver?
Bill browning you don’t think his friends helped him with anything? lol
Nice
Thanks for watching!
Wow...
Hey Bro, things happen, we all learn something in every hunt, nice recovery.
Hey Robert! Your words couldn't be truer. We try and better ourselves each and every hunt. Thanks for watching!
Why crawl up to the rock without a rifle? Lol.
I believe Erik was trying to get a feel for the landscape and the lay of the land. Lessons learned for sure. Thanks for watching, Cale.
I hope everyone takes a lesson from Eric's mistake. He was already thinking of which cut of meat to grill first...lol. but seriously, keep focus and chamber a 2nd round.
Amen. I think Erik definitely acknowledges that as well. Lessons learned. Thanks for watching.
Why didn't anyone watching say "You hit him 10 inches high"? So many LR hunters hit high.
I feel like we just all saw him go down so hard and so fast with his ears stiff and behind his head, we all assumed that he was deader than a doornail. We definitely had some let down that we've learned from. Thanks for watching, Rocket!
@@MuleyFreak keep up the great videos . Sure enjoy them
Will do, brother!
You need to do a gear video
We will very soon!
I'm not big on the eld x bullets. Very accurate but I've had some bad luck on deer too.
As hunters we are all subject to imperfections. In testing...you simply CAN NOT account for all variables and hopefully this film shows that. We wish you luck this upcoming season, Jeremy!
My dream as a teen is to go on a hunt with you guys.
Right below the spine, and above the lungs, worst spot, hopefully you saved the hind quarters, I did the same this year, chest shot in the wind, flinched, hindend went down! I saved most of the meat, cleaned it up fast at home, I got extremely lucky! Looks like you did to!
Thanks for watching!
Lucky, thats it. Whitetail?.... you would not have seen him again.
mule deer
Good mass for a eastern MT prairie buck.
Try a Central Mt Breaks buck...Eastern Mt. doesn't even have the view of that particular Mtn chain .
I live in NW MT so it’s eastern MT to me.
Always good to know Where you are at, I guesd.
Valuable lessons on this hunt. #1 don't use match type bullets on game. Clearly terrible bullet performance. #2 keep somebody on the deer at all times, and then make sure he's not trying to whisper "the deer is up" say it loudly!
He sent one over the bow. What bullet makes up for a flesh wound?
Did you watch the video? Did you see where the first shot hit? Can you name a bullet that would have put that deer down with that shot?
Pisses me off. If your going to shoot something be ready to shoot again! Quick screwing around celebrating. And then you shoot a second shot....he still had a chance to take off yet you just watch him. I could care less what bullet, what velocity, or what caliber. Shoot until the animal is down. This film shows exactly what is going wrong in the hunting community. Quit screwing off like your a badass sniper and actually be a hunter.
We keep this film up to help people learn from our mistakes. We aren't here to only show our highlight reels and leave the mistakes in the out takes. Ultimately we got back on the animal and we put him down.
Lessons learned
For sure! Thanks for watching, buddy!
Hate to see these long shots encouraged. Doesn’t matter how big of a caliber and how flat it shoots. Get closer to the animal. We owe it to them. I’m glad you were able to get another shot and recover him.
We aren't encouraging them here, brother. It takes a skilled shooter and hunter to execute a shot at longer distances.
Stop using eldx! They preform inconsistently and same thing with Berger VLD. And what’s up with shooting and not immediately jacking another round in?
We have had great results with the ELD-X and ELD-M for that matter. Erik's shot was a hair high on this one. Thanks for watching!
STAY ON YOUR SCOPE
We live and we learn. You can be sure we wont make that mistake again but we aren't shy about showing our mistakes and hope lessons can be learned from them.
I was at less than a hundred yards and he still got up and took off I was on the gun and put a nother one in him as he run off so it dont have a dam thing to do with how far it has more to do with how wind up in heat he is and that is why I believe a big buck can take two to the chest and still gi for ever I use a 7rem mag 150 grain ballistic tip horriady bullet
Yeah, that little guy coulda used more growing time. Good buck for a kid though.
Good job showing what you did wrong, so others can learn. Now just imagine how much better it would have been if you’d get within 350yd... just cause you got a big rifle don’t mean you should shoot so far.
We always try to show the most real and raw experience possible. Thanks for the comment and for watching!
It looked like red was a part of that buck's breath after he got back up.
What was?
@@MuleyFreak After the first shot when the buck went down, he got back up and I thought I saw a lot of red in his breath mist....usually a sign he's been hit pretty well. Based on that observation, I was surprised he had to be shot again.
He was bleeding quite a bit. We couldn't believe that he got back up to be honest. We were all in utter shock.
@@MuleyFreakI believe what you say 100 percent. We normally hunt in the desert between Yuma, Arizona and Blythe, California on the California side. Recently friends from Idaho dismissed the idea that Muleys could even live in the desert, much less have any size or heartiness to them. After three big fat does practically knocked my buddy on his ass, he was a changed man!! I told him mule deer, pound for pound, are just about the most rugged animal in North America....Big Horn Sheep might be right there with them. Anyway, nice chatting. Have a good day. Roy, from Southern California...El Centro to be exact.
@@MuleyFreak PS: I once saw a 4 point buck get hit with a 4 seater Polaris Razor in the sand dunes near Glamis, California. (It's the sand buggy capital of the desert southwest in the winter time.) That damn deer must have flown 30 feet and tumbled on the ground another 20. After about 20 seconds, he got up and ran like hell....not even one drop of blood anywhere. Anyways, have a good day.
Ditch the ELDX. 168 7mm ABLR is similar bc but doesn't explode. ELD bullets exploded on bone. Just put 4 ABLRs through 4 muleys in SW Nebraska and they worked perfectly. Late season doe tags.
In bullet didn't hit bone. It grazed the top of his back. Not bullet would have put that deer down. I have dropped an antelope at 500 yards and a deer at 700 yards with eld X and they performed flawlessly. Everyone likes to blame their equipment instead of themselves when things don't go right.
I hunt, also a Veteran...i gotta say, some ppl really need to know their limitations. Never leave eye off target..
We agree! That is why we have this video up. We make mistakes and we hope that people can learn from our mistakes the same way they can learn from our victories.
You left your rifle 15ft behind, your loss
Live & learn right, Raul?
Texas heart shot. What ever it takes. 650 is way to long. To many peole wanting to play sniper, are watching long range pursuit video. But edit out the 5 to 10 shots it actually took to connect, just lobbing and flinging bullets. Sad to see . Give the animal respect to get closer.
Hopefully you learned a couple lessons from this but I doubt it...
There is always lessons to be learned from every hunt. There seem to be many variables that come into play come crunch time. We take our learnings and apply them to future hunts! Thanks for watching!
Everything about this felt wrong. The dude hunting was with a couple of guys that seemed like they didn't really care to be there in the first place. At least they didn't seem as invested in it as the one shooting.
That long-range shot was a garbage shot that shouldn't have been taken in the first place. And as if that wasn't bad enough, taking eyes off the deer after the shot is just embarrassing.
On one good side, they stuck to it and tracked the deer down. Unfortunately, another shit shot in the deers backside, and then just let him roll and flop around until he finally expired. Should have racked another round immediately and finished him off as fast as possible.
"Mistakes were made, and lessons were learned," that deer didn't deserve to be the instrument in the lesson being learned.
Your first shot was high and the shock knocked him down. Next time you shoot a buck you may want to stay on it till you sure. you jumped up too quick, I have seen this a few times when I hunted in Africa..... many times they were never recovered and the Professional hunter takes it as a filled tag.
Lessons learned.
keep your shots to 300 and life will be much easier
We always strive to get as close as we can to the game we hunt. Thanks for watching, Brian.
Skicka lite kött till Bill i Sverige.. torkat när det kommer fram..
I but one throw both front shoulders of a 190inch muleyand he went almost 2 1/2 miles in a big circle to Wright back to where he was and the last mile he was on his chest push him self back to his safe place I live in western kansas
That’s what he gets for taking 10 minutes to take a shot then jumping up to celebrate before he made sure the deer was down. These dudes aren’t hunters anymore they’re actors
LOL.
Time to reevaluate the shots that are taken as this channel has entirely too many long shots that aren't in the breadbasket.
We're not perfect by any means, but all of us have been subject to misses or even bad shots at closer distances. Range doesn't dictate how well a shot is executed. We do appreciate your comment and hope you watch a few other videos.
He didnt go far because he was in heavy rut and had hot does
There's a lot of truth; however, it does were long gone by the time we caught up to him. It wasn't going to be long before he gave up the ghost ultimately. Thanks for watching, sir.
Hornady bullets suck
With 50x scopes, killer range finders (that compensate for elevation and round), dial turrets (that can dial in your grain, round, elevation, temperature and distance), and 85 powered spotting scopes, why not take a distance shot...all the haters should just use open sights then. Don’t talk trash and then use a scope of your own rifle and then preach to others “it’s only okay to shoot 300 yards”...like I said, you wanna preach...then use open sights and preach.
Jajajjaa
Long range hunting at its finest... make bad initial shot then make even worse follow up shot and not care about wastage or the deer as you shoot it in the ass...
Ok at least your admitted u did everything wrong on your first shot. But u shot a 2nd BAD shot quartering away. Still not a ethical shot.
