- Ruger can be hit or miss with their stuff but the American bolt action is a banger. My only gripe is the stock so with this simple you can turn the affordable package into something very capable.

I have an almost brand new Magpul stock for the Ruger American that I’m selling.
I went with MDT XRS stock.
I upgraded my Ruger quite a bit. lol. Not even my bolt is stock, I modified that too.
What else did you do?
@@realdirtyreviews upgraded stock, trigger, cocking piece, bolt and handle, firing pin, shroud, slightly sanded the bolt and polished it for a very smooth action. Suppressed it. It a shorty 308, 16” barrel.
My next upgrade will be the extractor. Just waiting for a couple of company’s to get back to me for pricing.
The grip angle on the standard Ruger American stock is atrocious as well, they should give up and just ship them with the Magpul stocks
Agree. I can’t believe there’s so many shortcomings with a Gen 2 variant
