I used to think EVH was the worlds greatest 70's hard rock guitarist, then I heard UFO's "Strangers In The Night" and realized that title rightfully belongs to Michael Schenker.
UFO supported Led Zeppelin on the song remains the same tour in 76 only to return two years later headlining shows themselves resulting in Strangers in the Night.
@@johnnorris8915 And they blew Zep of the stage EVERY night. Thats why they were thrown off the tour halfway through. Kind of like when VH blew Sabbath off the stage every night until they got tossed. Just PROVES that those bands were NOT that great.

Love his playing but age is creeping in, 5 Year’s ago cleaner and none of these mistakes. That’s life glad he is still out there.
No guitarist is mistake-free. I think he's playing better than 5 years ago - and he was brilliant then! Even Gary Moore made the odd mistake.
