My grandfather bought a 1950 gibson in 1950 and it had a steering wheel option and my dad replaced it engine with a 10hp briggs and stratton engine and i grew up plowing the snow out of the driveway with it as a kid. he sold it a few years back and now i have a property and a skid steer and excavator and a backhoe but i miss the gibson so i found two which are for sale a 47 and a 50 and both have a bunch of implements but i’m not sure the models and a friend of mine is trying to make the deals and pick them up for me so hopefully i get both of those really soon. i plan on rebuilding both wisconsin motors but to keep one separate and then set one up with a 16hp predator engine and knobby tires and keep one original and set it up with street tires…. i got the gibson bug right now.
Just bought one today. it's all there except or the original brakes have been removed. Maybe I can find that for my restore. I hope to do a nice job like this. Thanks for sharing.Lisa
DO you still have the machine ??? I would be interested in purchasing the unit Sir. Nice machine. What do you think the unit has four drive belts ?? What type of transmission and speeds does this have ?? Nice work Len and lory. Job well done.
