Just bought a modded one of these with a switch to access the presets without pressing both buttons. Really fun and useful pedal. Perfect secret weapon. Nice video!
I've had my M5 for about a year. I am crazy about it!! I especially love the Filters, but it's all so brilliant. I love to use alongside the Digitech RP360XP - the two of them work together so well!! This is my favorite video dealing with the M5 - you go through everything thoroughly. Your playing really shines through.
I got one of these cheap on eBay around 2 years ago and I've never used it. Just sits there in the box, gathering dust. Need time to have a go with it. I guess I just like simple pedals, no displays or menus or "digibollocks" as Mick from That Pedal Show calls it. I know that it can do some good sounds, just never tried 'em. Thanks for doing this, now I know what I'm in for if I do get into this thing. Ayy that's a lot of fiddling around :X
Ok so I bought this unit a while back and I must say, for the money, for me it's great. I run it through my Carvin x100b 100 watt head. It sounds great. Either through the effects loop or straight into the front end, it works good. I really like some of the compressors. If you could only stack the effects, that would be awesome. Great video brother as always.
Hi Budda, great gig in Famalicão and good luck for the Israel gigs !!! Are you planning an in-depth analysis of the Line6 Helix ? Thank you for another great video, and I hope I can make it to the Ponte de Lima gig Nov 9th !!!!
Love the m5, still worth buying. Like you I love the rotary, octo, and particle. Worth the price of the pedal right there. Synth string is good too if you make the attack sharp and use it like a normal synth instead of a swell..
Hey Buda, have you seen the mod with an extra button to go direct to presets? I am not handy enough to do it myself but looks quite useful. Thanks for the videos!
I've bought this pedal a few years back thanks to your video here but didnt like it. So I returned it. However I did not make my own presets and that could be the reason why I didnt like it. Now year later I still have no modulation pedals on my board as I just cant decide to by individual pedals I might not use that often :D So best deal is to get exactly THIS M5 pedal :D I ought to buy it and then spend time to make my own presets! Thank for a great video!
Just ordered it again ... should be in my hands in a few days! Watching how you do the presets and will start there. I hope this time I will like better into my wet-dry amps setup!
@@BuddaGuedes Got it and played for a while before replying to you here! :D I really like the way it sounds through my two new Fender Vintera guitars Tele and Strat , and into a wet-dry VOX AC15 (Greenback) and Egnater Tweaker (Jensen Blackbird alnico 100watt). I bought it for modulation and for that it really shines. All else is just and extra but I think the MODULATION on this M5 sound really good! Tremolo, Flanger, Phaser, Rotary all very good. Sounds great with my Euphoria and Pantheon drives and with TC Flashback delay (I prefer Flashback for delays). It does color the tone a bit but a tiny turn on tone knob can fix this. Very happy! Thank you!
Again awesome video Budda ! Taking the time to explain this pedal and then demonstrate how killer it sounds... It's just gold. I wish I never sold it now... haha !
Oh wow, that sounds great as always. If it is approved by doctor guitar, well who am I not to listen! Do you have any tips for emulating bowed instruments and a hammond organ? I have an external overdrive, reverb, tremolo, delay, and comp.best, anne
For Bowed instruments the best way would be an ebow, but as an effect the autovolume effect on the M5 will do a good job. For the organ the rotary speaker is a great tool.
Will the Budda experience come to the Netherlands after Covid? Want to hear the king of tone live at some point. But perhaps I should go to portugal instead.
also i was so bent over getting this but the thing is its so old i mean its from 2010 and being digital i know that in 2020 that the tech has gotten soo much better and that i guess im just waiting for an updated version
Hey Budda! Thx for the vid! Do you know if you can have slow/fast Leslie in the same preset? Do you need an external expression, or can you assign the tap tempo to do that? Cheers/Perry
Just got one of these used. Great sounds but really frustrated that settings will not save as I move from effect to effect. I go into set up mode and have it set to autosave but just will not work. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I kinda want one of these but I've heard the expression pedals are pretty fragile and expensive. Do you know if they have ever improved them? Also not compatible with other expression pedals not made by Line 6 unfortunately.
How can I activate the tap function? Because no matter how much I try to press it, the tap does not change on the screen, only if I move it with the knob. I hope you can help me.
You just turn the time knob to the right until it changes from milliseconds to musical notes. You pick whatever musical note you want (1/4 note 1/8 note etc) and tap is working
