What helped improve my accuracy, etc. was figuring out my draw length. I have a 30 inch draw, and most band sets come extra long. The stock bands I got from simple shot were cut at 10 inches long, but by doing some math I cut them down to about 6.5 inches and my power and accuracy have really increased. Mainly because I anchor at my mouth like you
I use John Webs method. Simple and easy to remember. Draw length ÷5 from fork tip to pouch ties. I just tweak it slightly for heavier or lighter band cuts. Used to try and prolong my band life by setting them a bit soft. Not since I started buying my TBG on roll and cutting my own. Maximum speed and power,I say.👌
SilentShot thank you. Yes that’s something Ive been thinking about tweaking to my draw length. The comment means a lot and appreciate the advice/knowledge!
I don't know if you still reply, but how did you get those colored plugs for the axiom? I can't seem to find any other color in the simpleshot store, only white and black
I just adjust the band length by folding and unfolding the band where u attach it to the slingshot. Not to tight so u can pinch on the ball comfortably for 2-4 seconds before release.
Tie a string to the fork where the band would attach. Then hold the other end of the string to your anchor point. Mine is near the corner of my mouth. Measure the string and that's your draw length.

Nice to know I'm not the only one that misses quite often 🤣 great set up!
Oh and I use dried chick peas as they're biodegradable too 🤣
Good job. Thanks
Nice video...i just got one too.
Good idea for target practice trap. should try using booth eyes open , your dominant eye will take over.
Awesome video!
Hey, what's that knife setup you got on the desk? Looks like a nice sheath too.
Thanks it is a damascus bush knife I got on Amazon a while ago.

I think I did get them from Simple’s hot store but it was 4-5 years ago. May not have them anymore. Maybe check Amazon?
Very cool😎
Emma Semchuk why thank you!
Yasou!
The could not hit using the sight notch. I figured out that my point of aim was my middle finger's knuckle
What's the distance you were shooting?
about 25 -30 ft
Would be much easier to adjust your reference point, than your anchor point. Anchor point should always stay consistent.
Rowdy Yates thanks makes sense still learning
I always appreciate comments with knowledgeable tips
@@thegiannis559 No you are right to adjust anchor point most shooters have 3 anchor points from chin/mouth to high cheek
How do you determine ones draw length for a slingshot?
I just adjust the band length by folding and unfolding the band where u attach it to the slingshot. Not to tight so u can pinch on the ball comfortably for 2-4 seconds before release.
@@thegiannis559 are there thickness of bands you suggest? As far as for hunting.
@@tonetone8980 I don’t hunt but I would think thicker or stronger for hunting. I’m not sure though.

how do you like that Slingshot?
Matt Eastman it’s my favorite out of the 4 I have I like the groves that the bands go over and how easy it is to take bands off and on
I want to get that slingshot
vicandjake rc it is really nice
The quicker you release the faster it will shoot
Yea I have found this out also and try to take my shots in two seconds
don't voge and shoot
Have fun
