Nice to see the younger generation continue on the teachings of Professor Presas and Professor Wally Jay. Keep up the good work young Guro.
We need more people like Guro Chris. It's difficult to get the young generation (30 and below) interested in FMA. Based on our analytics, the people who practice or are interested in FMA are age 35 and up.
Awesome! Great locks!
Hurts so good haha.
One of the best techniques i have seen in this channel.
Thank you, we'll forward the message to Guro Chris.
Great video!
Looks very familiar and I remember the pain.
It's better to give than receive LoL!
Awesome, really like it
We've been experimenting with these locks during our break from work LOL!
At the 1 minute mark, even though you can't see the attacker's face through the mask, you can see the squint of pain, lol. Nice work. Facial expressions are a great way to tell if your technique works.
The old teachers used to say, "if they can't feel it, you're doing it wrong. But do it with control so you don't injury your student, or training partner."
Wow ... baiting... trapping and lock. This is dope.
It's definitely a skill that has different approach.
❤️❤️❤️❤️ something new to me and finally a good alternative to just maiming. I know this has been around for a long time. It’s just not shown often.
It's combination of the Small Circle Jujitsu from Professor Wally Jay and Professor Remy Presas of Modern Arnis. Both used to do seminars back in the day.
Thanks sir 🙏
Not a problem. Thank you for being supportive.
Love it thankyou
So do we, the transitions to other locks are crazy.
@@FMAPulse looking forward to learning more
Love it
So do we 😎
Have you accidentally closed a door on your finger? it’s that type of pain 😬
Yes, it sucks LOL!.
What if he lets go of your hand the moment you tuck in the end of your stick?
then nothing lost; you're back to even. That would be the only real way to avoid this lock, not getting stuck in it in the first place. So you practice this in a flow to be ready to move to the next move and the next and the next if it doesn't immediately work.
That's a good question. GM Bruce said that the locks are not the end all be all. It's used as a transition or set-up to do something else. If the technique does not work, they'll flow into another one. This is just one part of the chain that links up to other possibilities.
#2 disarm, drive punyo with intent, center lock, into this lock. This lock with intent is very commanding.
It was very impressive when we were there during this. Feel free to contact Guro Chris or his father GM Bruce if you have further questions.
