- I am Back! Thank you for staying with me and checking in on me from time to time! I just took a little break for a few months for several reasons: 1) I was cranking out an insane number of videos at work, 2) I took a break from all social media for a few months- which is very healthy and 3) I did not want to make content to just make content. I want to create solid aviation content to up your safety game and to encourage you over 50's to get up ion the air!
Yes! I bought an airplane! This program has some initial numbers and breaks down the monthly expenses. Owning an airplane can be affordable... but the upgrades.... That is what will get me. Watch this program to find out what ownership costs.
Have you always wanted to learn how to fly but now you are over 50? Get out there and start and learn! There are so many people in there 50's and 60's who are just starting to fly so what are you waiting for?
I’m 51 and and going for it. I just recently started ground school. Thanks for the inspiration!
56, got my PPL two years ago. Now own a share in a 172
Welcome back.
Welcome back!
to YOU GEN X'ers who had the dream the world is yours 40 - 50 hours later and PPL then the SKY is yours!
0:06 Hello everybody! This is Ted!!!
I took a break and I'm now an ATP rated pilot with type ratings in the new JATO equipped Cessna 182!!
Great to see you back!
Love your energy and inspiration.
While you were away… turned 63, got off my backside and finished my PPL, working on my instrument rating, signed on to Pilots for Paws and currently shopping for an RG so we can tour the country. Thanks for the inspiration!
I’m 37 working towards ppl and then thru… to ATP
Welcome back! I'm 52 and getting close to my PPL checkride. Heading out this afternoon for a dual XC out of KIXD.

👏👏👏 Great to have you back!
Welcome back. Lovge your energy. When will we be seeing you back at VKX? Robert Schapler
I am down in Florida now … I’ll e at vkx in September
Congrats on the 1000 hrs. Good to see someone else has a dream similar to mine. At 66, the major hurdle is special issuance (14 months and waiting for an FAA response).
About time Ted! Welcome back and certainly understand the break from social media. Congrats on hitting 1000 hours, great milestone. Good to see the Cardinal too.
Woohoo!!!!
Are you going to Oshkosh?
No I’m not gonna go to Oshkosh this year… Too much going on. And,… I have a plane delivery to Brazil that I’m gonna be making some contact on so stay tuned it should be really cool!
Welcome back Ted!!
Great to have you back Ted, but more importantly great you started the mission, and I hope some day to fly with you for that! Glad you took a break for that, it has really encouraged me....solo is soon :). Keep the good content coming whenever you get a moment in the busy schedule. If you are ever in South Florida shoot me a line, I'd love to buy you a not $100 burger.
Glad you're back and having fun. The last video of yours that I saw had you moving up into a P210. All you spoke about in this latest video is the Cardinal. Do you still have the P210?
Yes ! The 210 is awesome! Have about 100 hours in it now !
Welcome back! And congrats on 1000 hours!
I have a couple of questions for you, that perhaps could be video content. Alternatively, if you held a zoom Q&A, I'd ask these there:
1) You and I own similar airplanes. I have a Piper Cherokee 140 w/an O-320-E2A (150 hp). You seem to fly the pants off of your airplane. What tips do you have for taking a relatively slow airplane on long cross countries?
2) What kind of aviation career options are you talking about? I'm contemplating changing careers into aviation.
Well as far as taking slow planes Long cross country it’s kind of what Yogi Berra said, everywhere is walking distance if you got the time. 😇 as far as jobs just start looking at employment at barnstormers or start googling pilot employment and you’ll be surprised what you find out. Thanks for watching!
@@Over50andLearningToFly Oh! I didn't realize that barnstormers had that. Thanks!
Good to see you back!! Congrats on the 1,000 hours! Are you headed to OSH this year?
No … not this year … did Oshkosh 2x - … 😎
@@Over50andLearningToFly and you don’t want to go back for more?? 😧
Great to see you again but does this mean the 210 has been sold ?? Thanks
No the 210 is for mission work and it’s doing great and I fly quite often! -Thanks for watching!
I thought you sold the Cardinal and got a P210. Or am I confusing you with someone else?
No I got the 210 as well and that is doing fine!
Welcome back!
