door roblox ost
This song is very comforting and kind of motivating. It's like it's saying "It's ok, you'll do better next time, I believe in you!" and it always makes me want to try again
Doors is like the only horror game to motivate you to try again instead of like other horror games
Not only is the "Guiding light" a helpful and friendly being that tells us how to avoid the entities that we encounter and show us the correct door in dark room and seek's chase. But its also like a presence that gives you comfort. Like among all the madness surviving the entities. Its kinda nice how something watches over you. Helping you and guiding you, Making sure you don't die. Makes you feel like someone truly cares about you and protecting you the best they can. Like even after you die the guiding light is like "Hey, Its okay. You're safe now. Don't worry you can try again. Rest as much you want. Try again when you're ready. I know you'll do better".
I like how this music is more motivational than pressuring.
Makes me think of the Guiding Light witnessing hundreds of people dying to various monsters, and being really sad afterwards. As all the theories in the comments suggest, it has a mind of its own and tries to help people through "The Hotel". It just suggests to me that it's thinking "After so many people gone, I still can't save them?" "I have failed. So many, how could I not live up to my mistakes?" "This is my fault. They had no idea. I tried to warn them, but I have failed." "Should I use the last of my light to revive some of them? No, there are more to come. I would be gone from this place. Many more than what I have witnessed would be killed with no thought or awareness of what's going on. I am not letting that happen. I will learn and guide them through the darkness, and I will succeed to all this failure.".
"You died to the doors, they don't like to be opened."
"You died to figure while hiding you must control your breathing!"
This game can cave a deep lore and I love how the players speculate around all the things, I think it should stay this way
Fun fact: it seems like both screench and hide are afraid of light + both ambush and rush destroy every light tgey pass by, It's almost as if they also hate the light. But the blue light that appears in dark rooms and when you are chased by seek, never goes out, it's the light that guides you, and the entities obviously hate it. It's definitely gonna be explained in chapter 2
Theory: The "Guiding Light" is a conscious blue light that was NOT made by the dev to just give tips, it has its own will and might be a monster or whatever those things inside the game are. They're lights that want to help the player because they saw what happened to the others first. That is how they got it's acknowledged. You know when you're running from seek and there are blue spaces when you're in a dark room and you can't find the exit and the door gets a tiny blue light to indicate that's the door. Overall they help you when you're in danger. And those situations are too specific to just tip. Also when you die and you see the tips it's just an entirely blue screen that has white letters. Or overall. Those blue lights are the only monster/anomaly that wants to help the player.
The “Guiding Light” is pretty interesting. Out of what I’ve seen in the game, the “Guiding Light” is a blue light which has a conscious mind. (It’s the blue light that surrounds doors in dark rooms if you cannot find it, and it’s what is seen in Seek’s chase scene, it appears over crawlspaces and the correct doors.)
"You died. No matter if you failed or not. Its not the end."
“You died to who you call Halt.”
"You died to Ambush."
It’s weird how it seems that nobody had pointed out that in the background of this song you can here a faint version of the main menu melody, and that in the ending cutscene the melody appears again. I think it’s going to keep appearing in later chapters as kind of a “doors” leitmotif
"You were so close to the elevator!"
Honestly, this guiding light really kept me motivated and comforted when I was really struggling when I started. The devs picked a perfect type of music to go with the text.
"That is odd. I cannot figure out who you died to."
I love how the music after you die is almost more relaxing and reassuring than the music during the actual game; it makes it feel like you didn't fail, you just learned something new and you can always try again which i think is nice. rather than how a lot of games make you want to quit when you die, Doors makes you want to keep trying.
“It seems like you got lost and died to Seek again.”
