      +Sensei poole Just saying. If you arnt use to your board yet thats probably why. most people start trying tricks before they can even ride comfortably, which makes it a lot tougher. I would say just skate around your neighborhood and get really use to skating and maybe bomb a couple hills and then come back and try to start learning tricks

    Dude I just went through this an hour ago. My progression through it was almost identical. First I was like.."nooo I can never make this work, doesn't make sense", then I was kicking it away, then I was doing it with one foot good. And then when I finally really popped it and dragged my foot into the Ollie and quickly pulled in, I landed like 3 of them. I was Soo stoked. It's crazy how similar the experience was.

    • @lucaslabute8114

  • @NextGenesis88

    I learned these last year and then I decided to get creative and learn one in a bs 180. I've never seen anyone do that and it felt like I actually did something cool when I started landing them. You should do a today I learned with that or at least try on the side. It's one of those tricks that make you feel like you did something fancy. Lol

    • @brailleskateboarding
      @brailleskateboarding  10 років тому +3

      Is that called an alpha flip?

    • @NextGenesis88
      @NextGenesis88 10 років тому +3

      yes, I just learned this a half hour ago actually.You honestly just try to put the two together. That's all I did and I compensated for anything new that was needed by putting them together such as flipping the board back harder than you normally would in a hospital flip and the synchronizing to get it all to line up for the catching/landing. if you can do both decently you can certainly do these with a little practice in a day I would think. I would usually come to a stop when landing. landing straight and rolling away with speed is probably the hard part. I'd say just think of it as you are just doing a 180 while hospital flipping and not think that it's as complicated as it looks. Sorry for the late (and long) response.

    • @ki11bunny
      @ki11bunny 10 років тому +2

      ***** If you are going to learn alpha flips you are better off to start the rotation for the 180 then do the hospital flip. I find that it looks better and feels so much nicer. If you try to do it all at once it can and usually will throw your balance off and make you put your feet too close together.
      Try doing hospital flip and landing with your legs crossed, it feels strange to start with but once you get it, it feels right.

    • @Alexskateboards10

    You have no idea how satisfying this is to watch when you and all your friends were doing hospital flips in 2002. Most people I know landed it basically first try after just watching other people do it, having someone to demonstrate it in front of you makes it super easy to figure out. Aaron would have done it way quicker if he were trying it rolling, idk why the fuck he practices tricks standing still.

    Learned this Trick a few month ago. It is easier than most people thinking and a really funny one. Its a non-popular, and because of that impressive Trick :)
    If u wanna learn it, dont think that the turn around with the half flipped Board is a "Late-Flip-Move". It is a special flippin, but one step. If u know this, it will be a lot easier.
    I love Hospital Flips :D

    I can do these Switch and Nollie, but CAN NOT do them regular stance. I am regular stance as well, if you do them on a pyramid its fairly easy to turn it in to a BS180-Hospital flip I guess I always called them a casper flip, no one has been able to do one in all the games ive ever played in SKATE, ive tried to learn a few hard tricks like that.

      Like a kick flip and front foot Ollie impossible

  • @chiprules96
    @chiprules96 10 років тому

    the way I do it, I sort of pop a kickflip that's turned kind of frontside, then just wrap the board around my front foot

    just depends on where you're from and how old you are what tricks are called i guess. yeah we all have the kickflip, heelflip, hardflip,360flip, shove-it ect... But where im from and growning up i never knew the premo as premo. it was taco. Ollie noth was an ollie one foot. This trick is a casper flip. What people call a seatbelt ive always known it as a crail. What people call a tuck knee ive known it as a delmar indy. ECT.

    I find it easier to do like a 1/4 of a kickflip then kick it round, it hurts your foot but still

    Hey Aaron, do you know how to do late flips? Why don't you make a video trying to learn it? I've been trying them for months but I just can't get used to kicking down with my back foot.

  • @juergenm6107
    @juergenm6107 10 років тому

    When I learned that trick in '96 it was definitely call "Casper Flip". You really have to do a half flip and then lift and pull the foot back to you.

  • @bdevyion
    @bdevyion 10 років тому

    Literally the easyest way to do them is to position your back foot as if doing a front side shuv it
    Then the half kick with place itself into your foot
    But remember once you kick out your back foot
    Pull it back as if you were popping a treflip
    Once u get that puling it back should be no problem for you

    yeah, bit of a late reply, but this trick just needs more force on the front foot. The first step has to be real quick and firm, and it'll just come back under. It's a fun trick, try learning alpha flip (hospital flip 180)
