The teacher's past doesn't excuse his behaviour. He was liked for his personality as an adult, but since he wouldn't get over about his negative selfperception as a kid he couldn't see that.
Fun fact: Both Aya and Library have homicidal tendencies. With ms.Library killing you when you refuse to be her friend and Aya having the same tendencies as her father ya
I know there were people that hated the original ending of Mad Father, that Aya killed Jean Rooney. The creator did add an adapted version of the ending, where depending on how you played, could have Aya simply becoming a normal doctor, and that the dolls that were with Maria at the end were normal porcelain dolls, and not corpses. Maria was simply her adoptive mother, not her assistant. That was nice.
I honestly just feel really sorry for Ayaka she didn’t even do anything to Misao and was kind of creepy towards the teacher but she did not deserve what happened to her in she slightest and idk why she was even in there
The bonus room at the end of the old version of the game explains it more - by game design choice, she was supposed to make Kurata look like this hot amazing character so that the creepy undertones wouldn't be too apparent. She was only supposed to serve as Aki's best friend so that she wouldn't seem friendless and strange - basically ayaka served as a character promoter
honestly, the teacher was a major creep from the start, and ayaka was a teenager. teens get crushes on adults often and i feel like it's not their fault lol she def did deserve better though. my beloved
Kurata 100% did not deserve salvation. The bad ending proved that he only gets worse because he was never punished. He even kills Aki just for knowing the truth. He plays the victim over his past trauma, but he is much worse as an adult by assaulting and killing any girl that he THINKS shows any sign of attraction to him. If saving him is optional and unnecessary for Misao to move on, then he could suffer till the end of time for all I care
The teacher was nice as a teenager, but he was crazy and it didn’t excuse his actions. I feel so bad for Misao…she never did anything to deserve the abuse she received.

Misao was bullied by all her peers and was murdered by the teacher who was meant to comfort her kurata despite his past trauma that he is a serial killer. He killed and assaulted multiple girls. That’s terrible
Knowing that Onigawara Kept both Aya clone and Alfred.....are Aki and Akito his cloned kids? Given they interact with souls and Time in the Truth Ending Like Onigawara did at the Ending of both Games, this also Explains why He's Guiding Aki and instructing her to do his job as she's like him
saying that the teacher "picked up the wrong signal" is kind of wrong. like, extremely wrong. it kind of blames misao and the girl that was nice to him, taking blame away from the teacher. yeah, bullying is bad, but it doesn't justify choking a girl+murdering a girl. the teacher made many mistakes along the way, regardless of bullying. misao went through bullying but did not turn vengeful or evil until after she straight up died, but the teacher turned evil while he was still living. instead of "picked up the wrong signals," it really should be "he expected her to act lovingly back but she instead felt violated and he retaliated," or something like that. he didn't pick up any wrong signals, they gave him all the different signals of being absolutely regular people. he just had warped expectations.
I want Misao to be able to move on, but the teacher did such a horrible thing to her, killed another innocent student too, and presumably will continue to. And the other female student (I forget her name) who had her female friends beat Misao up and had a boy presumably assault her too all because she was jealous?
One of the big differences I've noticed between the version that I played and the version that you showed of the game is the fact that, in the version that I've played, the teacher dismembered Misao's entire body, keeping only her hands. Just wanted to mention it. And at first I thought that killing Tohma was the right choice, obviously it wasn't. With the truth mode I actually decided to let the teacher rest in peace , but I wouldn't forgive him, being bullied as a teenager doesn't excuses killing innocent students
I'm still confused. Before making the choice, how was Aki supposed to know that she needed to kill the teacher in order to get the good ending? She didn't know the truth yet. It seemed like Tohma was the obvious choice. GamerSault said the same thing. Did I miss something?
@@cloverb6265 I honestly don't know either, Tohma played with Misao so he has part of the fault, meanwhile the teacher told Aki that he just didn't helped Misao because he was busy, so I don't know how we were supposed to know that the teacher was the way to go. Maybe you just have to get the bad ending first in order to know that the one who needs to die it's the teacher. But something that I do remember it's that if you doubt about killing Tohma (like you go with him to do it but end not doing it), and go out of the Library, the one who's gonna do it is Mrs Library, just something curious
@@neliaortiz9724 Yeah, I read the wiki and it said that while Aki didn't hesitate to kill Tohma, Akito did and left the room. He then heard fighting and went back. He found out that it was Library who killed him because he was trying to take her glasses and she killed him in self-defense (Does stealing justify killing him in self-defense?). The story then continued like normal. Also, maybe Aki needed to experience the bad ending in order to get the good ending. That does explain why Aki didn't hesitate to kill the teacher even though from her perspective, he hadn't done anything wrong yet. He was also suicidal, which would make Aki feel sympathy for him and kill Tohma instead, resulting in the bad ending. This can mean that Aki is indeed not human, but an orge (or oni or something. I don't really know.) who has the ability to reset time after death and still remember what happened.
@@cloverb6265 That was the thing that I didn't remembered very well, that the one who hesitated was Akito, and for me that's something curious because usually in games the player character it's exactly the same thing regardless of gender, but here obviously that's not the case. And Aki being and ogre, that seems like the more accurate case here. She goes through the bad ending and sees everything that the teacher did, and goes back in time to do the right choice that is to kill him and letting Tohma live. Also, that would explain why she's able to free the souls of Saotome, Kudoh and Yoshino and let them reborn if they really want to live. Even if it's with Onigawara's help, I don't think that a normal human would be able to do those things
I'm surprised he didn't mention the small differences between the two versions of the game. In the original version, Aki has to collect Misao's body parts so when she finds the hands on Kurata's desk it's a little less obvious that he was keeping them purposefully. Also I remember that there was a more specific mention of Kurata having had plastic surgery, while in this new version it's apparently ambiguous?
To the teacher bit: because holding grudges against the other three keeps Miaso as a monster, so it applies to him, too, forgiving him (or at least not hating him) is what's best for moving forward. Not just in the game, but in a lot of trauma cases. Also, him changing into his teenage self, at least makes me feel like that part of him we can forgive, but he's still done some unforgivable things, and even he knows it, so he doesn't get reborn... You get what I'm saying?
I get what you're saying. Maybe, since he is still good in a way cause of his personality and evil cause of his actions, maybe the judgement from the after life will affect his rebirth. Putting him in Heaven is unfitting for his actions but putting him in hell is also unfitting for he has suffered first before becoming a monster. So maybe in the after life, he has to go to purgatory and it's trials to prove himself to be reborn or be able to pass to go to heaven. Maybe that's why, in this remastered version of the game at least, showed him not reborn as any living being. For in the old version, he got reborn as a cat for the cat was probably his last act of pure kindness and selflessness before he transformed his face and transformed into a monster that is obsessed with not only hands but also in finding someone to love his personality.
I think that's always an unpopular opinion, but most criminals are human. We keep them away from society because we don't want to create more victims, but holding a grudge is always going to give power to the people that harmed us. We should eventually seperate from that, seeking revenge will always lead to a hurt people hurting people scenario. We are empowered to give ourselves freedom from them and the freedom to not foster more pain in the world.
@@corneliahanimann2173 There will always be grudges and always be hatred. Its human nature to not learn from our mistakes or to move on. Only to react accordingly in the moment.
What the is the problem with Kurata? Why he always thinks of any kind of positive emotions from a girl as a sign of strong wish to get intimate? It is just... Boy, all spectre of human emotions should not be narrowed just to sex. Well, he might be kind and troubled child at heart. Still extremely stupid and with no sight of empathy
He’s not stupid or he just has had no social interaction. Just because it comes easy do you want does not mean that it comes easy to others. People have different mental development and social development

She looks to be the only girl he's killed that held a grudge bad enough to curse him and she got caught up in her own curse. On another note, we don't actually know if he had killed before. She might have been his first successful murder. What we do know is that if Aki doesn't murder his ass he will go on to kill again.
@@Anna464 In the video there is clear cut evidence he continued to assault and kill girls after Misao I’m not disagreeing with you I’m saying there are more.
I also completely agree with others about how Mr. Kurata definitely did not deserve to get reincarnated. I mean, he had a rather rough time in high school, was harshly bullied by many of his peers, and was rejected by the only person who showed him kindness, but that does not justify what he did to both Misao and Ayaka. He forced himself sexually onto the already traumatized Misao, who just experienced a situation where she was bullied, beaten, and sexually assaulted by some of her peers. Then, to top that all off, he murdered poor Misao in cold blood, simply because he was butthurt about being rejected again. Mr. Kurata is highly deceitful, and utilizes his kind, suave, gentlemanly façade in order to hide his twisted, mentally corrupt personality. When Ayaka is snooping around in Mr. Kurata's drawers, she finds Misao's hands, and realizes the teacher whom she was so fond of is actually a murderous nutbag behind closed doors. Mr. Kurata catches Ayaka in the act, pursues her, then murders her, deluding Aki by labeling it as a "monster attack." I'm genuinely surprised that Aki had the heart to forgive him for what he did. However, Mr. Kurata receives no such sympathy or pity from me. Additionally, the creepy hand fetish that Mr. Kurata has, like Yoshikage Kira from JJBA: Diamond Is Unbreakable doesn't help his character either.
I just wanna show my appreciation for you uploading these videos on the daily. With some being 30 minutes! Just wanna show my gratitude for the hard work you do for these vids man. Thanks so much 🙏🏻🤗😁
"seems like mr.kurata loves hands , if i wash mines often do you think he would like me more?" - ayaka It made him the culprit 5minutes in for me , even more when he gives you the hands. Personally to me , yoshino and kurata deserved to be there forever suffering without mercy. The demon told you to have a choice to help or not but the game didn't let you finish the truth ending until you save everyone.
Since Onigawara is clearly an Oni that would make the Dark Realm the Land of Yomi right? I think it is so because Oni are not only evil, they represent what the Japanese people are not, they're noisy, brash, direct, rude, but also carefree, living life happily without thinking too much of consequences...with that said Oni who lived at Yomi where jailers of the evil and unclean souls which would make complete sense with Onigawara's part on this game. Aki can also be a clone of him because unclean people can turn into Oni in the legends so there might be more to her.
@@wukong9423 I was just saying that at least (although I hate kurata) he was bullied, which can cause psychic issues. I'm not in any way encouraging what kurata did, but Thomas was just a player, with nothing in his past (so far) that could explain why he's like that. I totally understand you by the way, it was completely stupid to become a rapist just because *one* person rejects him =w=
I love Misao, I think I played the OG and the remake as well, I even love Mad Father as well. But when it comes to Kurata, I feel very much conflicted. Dozens of girls has suffered by the hands of this man (Pun not intended) and he had a very troublesome life at school, it does, of course, not excuse any of his horrific actions. BUT would I forgive him for his crimes? Fuck no. Would I let him have a second chance if he is willing to change? Yes, yes, I would, even if I think he deserves to be locked up in Hell.
Hahaha! Like i said before, i save Kurata, but not for Kurata. There really are just some things you cannot atone for. Kurata is solidly in that category. However, he killed Misao, and Misao is keeping him trapped, and thus preventing herself from passing on. I heard once tgat anger is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die of it. So, I always feel like i want to help Misao stop drinking tgat poison, I guess? Idk: I get too involved in lots of games. XD
I get what you mean. As I previously replied to a different comment before but didn't say it quite right: kurata is a terrible person and for him to be forgiven is not for his sake but rather Misao's. Misao did not deserve what happened to her as she didn't do anything wrong. For her to continue to drink the poison that is her hatred would only make her suffer more. At least when you save kurata, he is not reborn as he doesn't wish to live anymore.

It's actually all about Thama and because of him. If it wasn't about him, Misao would live her silent life and no girl would be jealous of Thama and treat her bad... It's all about domination and boys... Damn
Humm Kurata and Yushino were bad regardless of him?? If it wasnt Misao Yushino would beat any other girl for any other reason ,Kurata was already mad ayako for only seeing his looks, he would kill her or other students anyway regardless, the murderers of Tahmas gf , her childhood best friend and Tahma himself were awful and she became nearly as evil as kurata himself for those , the only people worst than Misao at that game morally are Yushino and Kurata ... She definitely went to "heaven" Scott free when she had 3 murderers in her account for very bs reasons , I was heavily bullied and even beaten up by 5 people in highschool and I definitely would not murderer a girl who bc she exposed a tacky poem I wrote and mocked me ?? That's sociopathic and not a reason for murderer at all, also her childhood best friend did not deserved at all, they were not talking in years and she even rejected him so why tf she expected a guy she doesnt talked to in YEARS to defend her and beat up a girl being him a guy ,which could easily tarnish his reputation and dating life forever, over a "friend" who havent talked to him in YEARS? I had friends to do way worse to me than cut me off in my teenage years definitely not a reason to murderer at all, Tahma is a douchebag and a teenager, definitely that was not a reason to kill him and having him imprisoned against his will in f hell, just slap him in front of everybody, he was a coward and the matter would be solved and would be a fair "punishment" for the shit he did and not make you worse than him, Yushino was an understanble situation and a very forgivable murderer , kurata deserved to die regardless if not by Misao, but by getting some death penalty in court for sure so that one is not even a crime on her part , but she screwed up BIG TIME
I believe that in the scene where she tries to escape from him in the staff room, he chokes her to death (when Aki finds her body there are visible hand marks on her neck and most importantly he also tried to do that when he got rejected by his first crush Takano) then dragged her corpse to the restroom to cut up her body (or just cut off her hands, in the definitive version). You post so much! Am not complaining in any way but please make sure to not burn yourself out! Great video.. never heard of these games but am definitely gonna give them a shot for myself!
if it’s needed for Misao salvation i guess that i can grant this person salvation, but he is a horrible man that even his punishment that he got from Misao is not enough in my eyes, ya ya he dealth with rejection in his childhood has most people dose, even his salvation shows that he didn’t feel remorse and as such i don’t see how it got to the point of “too much” he didn’t learn anything. He is still the same egotistical boy who’s used his self hate has a weapon and kills little girls
If I had a choice in the matter... It's hard because when it comes to Kurata's rebirth, I don't know. He did many unforgivable things, but at the same time... Death doesn't absolve him of his transgressions. I want him to suffer, but I also hate the thought of letting him live in a void, away from any actual punishment..... You know what, he wants to die, so I'm gonna make him live. He does his crap again, I'm sure he'll get caught.
i dont feel pitty for kurata he is the trope of nice guy and i hate him for it, he never was nice, and he always was shallow for the very start, he doesnt deserve salvation, as he for the very start feel those girls owed him love, when they were just beeing friendly or kind to him, and when he realize that they dont want him the way he wanted to, he assaults them, i hate when storys victimize nice guys
as sad a kurata's teenage years were, it doesn't excuse his abusive behavior. i wouldn't be surprised if misao wasn't his first assault victim, but rather just the first one he killed. i get having sympathy for him but he didn't deserve that redemption AT ALL. why was he even looking at teenagers in that way??
I feel like with the teachers case I wouldn't wanna along him to rest or be reborn for the soul fact all he hurt but I probably would in hope that he'd spawn as a different person in general I'm a firm believer in souls can change so I feel like with a better life at the start he wouldn't end up that badly (though I'd let him suffer in his personal hell for like decades before I let him out to be honest) probably would let him stay there to but then again to pure ones soul you must supposedly let go so I'd let them pass on to the next life cause earth is hell to xD
I would have forgiven him like I did with the people who abused me (three of them sexually) in real life. Hatred can only bring me down, not them. If you enjoy watching someone be tortured even if they are evil in your eyes that means you have the same mindset a lot of people have used to abuse others. "I'm not like them, I'm morally superior so they deserve to suffer". I think people should pay in jail but not suffer or be tortured in an inhumane manner. If I wanted that I would be no different. The series Black Mirror touches upon this wonderfully!

Kurota was just hurting because nobody accepted him... I can feel that... As I a Trans Lesbian {Unable to Transition due to my Situation...} I'm Trapped and have no Control of my life... I'm treated like a Child when I'm literally 20, and it hurts... All the Truama and Flashbacks and yet I'm treated like the bad one... But the fact is... Kurota killed people... Even when suffering... There's no excuse to hurt or kill... I truly get the pain though... I relate to Misaos pain, and also Kurotas pain to...
I do not like kurata, but he is a deeply troubled man. And for misao I don't think it is worth him constantly in that loop just so she can have a free mind. And I think kurata knows he is wrong too because unlike the others even after being saved he doesn't wanna be reborn. Understanding he fucked up and was an horrible person and doesn't wanna live a life just in case And saving him is more for misao as she doesn't have to lamment on him and the hatred she has can be lifted so she can be happy

I'm probably the only one who has sympathy for real life serial killers. I never justify their actions, but they get both pity and compassion from my part because in their situation maybe I would have turned out the same. I have a personality disorder which many killers have, but I got therapy. Maybe I would be a killer if I hadn't got help. I'm in no way superior. Should they be punished? 100% Tortured in an inhumane manner? Hell no. That's why real killers have human rights. It's scary how many people would gladly torture and kill real life killers and justify it as "they deserved it" yes, maybe they did... but does that make you any better? Death Note is another huge example. Kill every bad guy and the only one left is you.
I think the game had somewhat good intentations but he morals were completely wrong tbqh, The girlfriend of Tohmas did not deserved hell or to die at all, what she did was just typical teenager mean girl , at max give her a slap but not murderer and hell, what she did was extremely mild, the childhood best friend was not even evil, yeah he deserted her out of jealousy, but he is a f teenager, teenagers are stupid and he did not harmed her also Misao was not speaking with him in years so how tf she wanted him to stand up for her ? He did not deserved to be murderer or hell at all too, Tohmas was a douchebag but that is also not an excuse to murderer him and trap him somewhere against his will ... Yoshino is a gray area, she deserved a good punishment, like a good 30 years in jail, I dont consider her murderer justified , but definitely it's forgivable, Kurata straight up would get death penalty for his crimes anyway and was irredeemable definitely deserved hell and if to be murderer, not out of revenge, but to avoid his future crimes even without seeing the bad ending, I predicted he was irredeemable when he did the same shit twice ... Also Misako definitely should not had been forgiven that easily and went "straight to heaven" she killed 3 people for the most stupid reasons and honestly that puts her in a very similar level to Kuratas , the difference is that she doesnt rpd anyone, but still she murderer 3 people who did not deserved at all ... If I would rank all the characters morals : I would put as best in the order: The girl we play with Mr Onagawa Ayako Tohmas GF Misao's childhood best friend Tohma Ms library Misao Yushiro Kurata
The teacher's past doesn't excuse his behaviour. He was liked for his personality as an adult, but since he wouldn't get over about his negative selfperception as a kid he couldn't see that.
Indeed. That's why in the true ending he dies and doesn't get reincarnated like the others.

saying that the teacher "picked up the wrong signal" is kind of wrong. like, extremely wrong. it kind of blames misao and the girl that was nice to him, taking blame away from the teacher. yeah, bullying is bad, but it doesn't justify choking a girl+murdering a girl. the teacher made many mistakes along the way, regardless of bullying. misao went through bullying but did not turn vengeful or evil until after she straight up died, but the teacher turned evil while he was still living. instead of "picked up the wrong signals," it really should be "he expected her to act lovingly back but she instead felt violated and he retaliated," or something like that. he didn't pick up any wrong signals, they gave him all the different signals of being absolutely regular people. he just had warped expectations.
👍
@@neliaortiz9724
Yeah, I read the wiki and it said that while Aki didn't hesitate to kill Tohma, Akito did and left the room.
Something I’ve noticed about this game: a lot of the characters have brown eyes

Nice, now I can finally understand the ending of this thrilling game, thank you so much as always for explaining games in such a good way! 💜❤️
@@Sonicsgirl13 Thank you for your comment!

What the is the problem with Kurata? Why he always thinks of any kind of positive emotions from a girl as a sign of strong wish to get intimate?
It is just...
Boy, all spectre of human emotions should not be narrowed just to sex.

He’s not stupid or he just has had no social interaction. Just because it comes easy do you want does not mean that it comes easy to others. People have different mental development and social development

I agree because I also felt like they didn't want to suffer anymore so they just begged for forgiveness. Honestly, the only reason I see for helping Kurata move on is for Misao's sake. It's good to know the reason behind his derangements but that's all they are, reasons. There is no excusing what he did even knowing the reasons.
I mean good point for “ Misao’s sake “ I guess but remember that he raped and killed many other girls after misao so…I don’t know about the whole FORGIVENESS business but he deserve to burn in the deepest darkest pit of hell until the end of existence

On another note, we don't actually know if he had killed before. She might have been his first successful murder.
What we do know is that if Aki doesn't murder his ass he will go on to kill again.

Is this one a remake? 🤔 Pretty sure I remember having to gather the girls body parts

Ad: I LIKE EVERYTHING TURBO!
I like the way everyone has some sort of reason for their actions, and then there's Thomas
Kurata didn’t have a reason he just didn’t know how to be alone or handle rejection. To the point of becoming a rapist sooo…
Hands hmm? Yoshikage Kira approves.
That was really i thinking about him holy crap
I love Misao, I think I played the OG and the remake as well, I even love Mad Father as well. But when it comes to Kurata, I feel very much conflicted. Dozens of girls has suffered by the hands of this man (Pun not intended) and he had a very troublesome life at school, it does, of course, not excuse any of his horrific actions. BUT would I forgive him for his crimes? Fuck no. Would I let him have a second chance if he is willing to change? Yes, yes, I would, even if I think he deserves to be locked up in Hell.
Changing face, hand obsession, and stray cat? Hmmm....
Kira yoshikage
@@Sonicsgirl13 Yeah! And yeah, thank goodness. Although, I do have to wonder, what happens to everyone, including reborn baby forms, as time passes in that other dimension, yknow?
I’m just saying yes forgiveness this absolute shitstain for his actions is just off the table entirely, but rather for Misao’s sake, think about this remember ,Kurata killed and raped many other girls after this take into consideration how they might feel about letting him go free.I know they aren’t really the deciding factor in all this but still…I would let him burn in the deepest pit of Hell if I could

As a guy and have watched the video I 100% agree with you
Humm Kurata and Yushino were bad regardless of him?? I had friends to do way worse to me than cut me off in my teenage years definitely not a reason to murderer at all, Tahma is a douchebag and a teenager, definitely that was not a reason to kill him and having him imprisoned against his will in f hell, just slap him in front of everybody, he was a coward and the matter would be solved and would be a fair "punishment" for the shit he did and not make you worse than him, Yushino was an understanble situation and a very forgivable murderer , kurata deserved to die regardless if not by Misao, but by getting some death penalty in court for sure so that one is not even a crime on her part , but she screwed up BIG TIME
Watching these reminded me of The witches house and ib. Those games were good also

if it’s needed for Misao salvation i guess that i can grant this person salvation, but he is a horrible man that even his punishment that he got from Misao is not enough in my eyes, ya ya he dealth with rejection in his childhood has most people dose, even his salvation shows that he didn’t feel remorse and as such i don’t see how it got to the point of “too much” he didn’t learn anything.

Kurata's Backstory:
Nice guy to Incel.
The fact that misao means 'a thought' in my language
i dont feel pitty for kurata he is the trope of nice guy and i hate him for it, he never was nice, and he always was shallow for the very start, he doesnt deserve salvation, as he for the very start feel those girls owed him love, when they were just beeing friendly or kind to him, and when he realize that they dont want him the way he wanted to, he assaults them, i hate when storys victimize nice guys
as sad a kurata's teenage years were, it doesn't excuse his abusive behavior. i wouldn't be surprised if misao wasn't his first assault victim, but rather just the first one he killed. i get having sympathy for him but he didn't deserve that redemption AT ALL. why was he even looking at teenagers in that way??

Wow we’ve got a real yoshikage Kira here lmao
I would have forgiven him like I did with the people who abused me (three of them sexually) in real life. Hatred can only bring me down, not them. If you enjoy watching someone be tortured even if they are evil in your eyes that means you have the same mindset a lot of people have used to abuse others. "I'm not like them, I'm morally superior so they deserve to suffer". I think people should pay in jail but not suffer or be tortured in an inhumane manner. If I wanted that I would be no different.

Hello nerds
Does Misao reincarnate??
No he can't be redeemed
Kurota fly to Korean for that looks lol
If I would rank all the characters morals :
I would put as best in the order:

Ayako
Tohmas GF
Misao's childhood best friend
Tohma
