To those making these negative comments about Justin have you ever seen this young man interviewed? He's humble and doesn't really want much attention. We all understand there are other drum majors. However let's keep it real. Who else came here because of him? People that have never even gave a crap about these bands. That are now interested and are actually watching other HBCU bands now. Just like myself. So don't get mad at him. He didn't asked to be featured on these videos.
People need to understand that if he likes being in a black college band, then he should go for it. If being in a band makes him happy then who are we to condemn this young man? When I was his age, there is no way in hades I could move like that. I don't see or hear any of the black band members or the blacks in the crowd complain about him being white. If being in that band is what he really wants to do, then he should do what makes him happy. I admire the blacks because they accepted him based on what he can do. The white people are the ones that have a problem with him being in a black band. The white people are mad because he has a talent that they wished that they had. I'm white and it will be a cold day in hell before I judge anyone due to the color of their skin.

I wish the crowd would be respectful and back up. Geesh!
They are excited to be back in college socializing.
Iv seen they just let the crowd walk through their ranks while marching
And all up in there face's.
Kinda foul
Don't live in fear Psalms 91
The Stingettes are EVERYTHING, is it just me or do y'all look for the Stingettes sponsor to see what she's wearing? She GIVES every damn game 🔥🔥🔥
I look for the sponsor also. Outfits 🔥

@@jamialaprince6556 😂😂Meeeeee too♥️
She does!
Bruh check out SU Dancing Dolls sponsor she is fire as well😂😂
The dance team is always so stunning!! The hair and performance attire are striking and beautiful, just gorgeous young ladies!!
This crowd is going to force the Stingettes to be barricaded in by the band again like last season🙄 PLEASE SHOW RESPECT
Justin did really good. Excellently coverage despite the crowd.
@@kitaboo2245 Yep that's him Vanilla Funk.
Robotic moves. He is a JSU wanna be .
@@kitaboo2245 The coldest white boy there ever was
Here for Vanilla Funk❤️
ASU so iconic we had Janae and daija now we got vanilla funk aka Justin and princess and Brianna
Brianni...and don't forget Miss Nyah
And Kenzie!
The fans are really starting to aggravate my soul….why do the have to be THAT damn close? Get on the sidewalk 🙄 some all up on them with no masks.
If they get hit they get hit 🤷🏾♂️ they’ll learn real quick not to stand so close 🤣
Different times I'm glad we didn't have those problems. If you look its all dudes screaming I guess they want to be men-ettes 🙂
My band director said march them down. Don't pull any move in. If they don't respect the street they'll be part if it. I didn't think I'd ever have that happen, until it did.
The Stingettes are giving me a Coming to America vibe! Love it!
The thumbnail and the title are horrible clickbait. This band already has a head DM and you're out here flatly putting his talents to the side to raise your preferred DM that just got there. Ugh.
@J 3 price still a goat doe 😂🤷🏽♂️ all my boys on the SQUAD still the shit
Ain't day phucd up
Yeah, and ONE video is going to change everything until the head DM is kicked to the curb, right? Grab your own camera and head down to ASU and record what you want and post it.
@@faith2xxx Nope!Bout Dem Jukes
So dope to see Vanilla Funk out there. The other drum majors are sharp. You can’t tell me marching bands are not an art form. A job well done to every single person. The ladies were so poised and in-synced too. Love it. Next time, I hope the staff will try a to have a way to better control the crowd, so they can have room and we can see the marching lines.
1:18 "To the sky!", "We don't do that here" 🤣
Glad to see you again Justin . Ya'll gonna kill it!
Omg!!! I’ve been waiting for this!!! I’ve been following this band and Justin for several years, and now the two together!!! Thank you for posting!!! ♥️
Vanilla funk that's you 🥰🥰 that boy can move with the best of them he is absolutely amazing and very humble. All of you guys are looking great
The crowd is way too close to the band. The yelling was bad last year; it's going to get worse now that Justin is out front. And he's not head drum major.
Every year the Stingettes are tight! They are also gorgeous
There are other drum majors leading as well. I understand you want to get your views up, but the title of this video just got to me.
Me too
All of this Justin stuff get to me he can dance but he is not doing nothing else nobody didn’t do it’s crazy to me how black people can accept and praise white people but when it come to black people they get no credit Nate gamal and Marvin are drum majors at JSU you don’t hear them getting talked about and all 3 of them are better then him they been buzzing sense high school especially Edna karr kids there no strangers to music videos commercials etc.
If y'all don't like watching Justin, then hit the search button and find other videos he's not featured in. Why get your panties in a bunch over ONE video?
@@faith2xxx you must be a new subscriber
They definitely need barricades to keep the distance. I’ve never seen a crowd get this close to the girls as I do with them.
They were even worse with Janae during the 2019-2020 SWAC Season and as bad with Brianna (this past spring). Right now they don't get it that COVID19 is real
@@roseamberzine5846 Yeah I definitely remember how bad it was with Janae.
@@roseamberzine5846 last year was dreadful had to build a barrier 🤦🏽♀️‼️👍🏽
Only Bama St folks act like this. The dance team doesn't make the band.
Exactly that was so uncomfortable to me they act like they didn’t want move when they told them to get back like I know y’all hear these people talking to y’all back up
Go Justin and the ASU band! Looking fabulous! ❤️❤️👍
They need to think about getting parade gates or something... like 😭😭😭😭😭
Or do what they did last year that seemed like that shoulda reinforced.
Justin done proved to y’all he ain’t no gimmick he do this shit fr!!!
Be thats exactly what he is a prop/gimmick. He dm because he has clout not for his so called "talent". When he was in high school I've always said he was just a prop for the band, even before he became dm. He was the white boy that would come to the front and dance. When he was dm the other DMs waas way better but because Justin had clout they didn't give the real talented dms any attention. Tbh when Justin dance it looks forced and stiff. But because he this white boy imitating black culture y'all look over that
@@jermaine2211989 who hurt you lmao. Dismiss yourself ✌🏾

Way to go Justin! Keep making us Trumpet players and Marching Band geeks proud! GO JUSTIN!
Love Justin! Thought I read he was going to play an instrument in the marching band and said what a waste of talent, so glad to see him in his element. Go Justin!
I think he did say that initially, that he wasn't sure if he would go out for DM. Glad to see him too.
He played trumpet last year as a freshman.
In one video he fills in for someone in the band, plays the trumpet, then goes back to work as DM!
There’s Justin. Proud from NC🥰
I am proud of this young man

The precision is excellent.
The sound outstanding.
Great performance and video.
Alright Justin!!! Yall look good!!
DM’s seem full of energy & on point this yr.
So happy that college football as band is back! It has been to see Justin’s Career evolve! I can not wait to see what he becomes !
In the age of BLM and racial unrest, this white boy is the most popular boy in a school of 95% African American.. brings a tear to my eye. Peace and love from Australia.
He isn’t the most popular boy in the school and honestly he is not the best leader. Y’all are only gassing him because he’s white. You would never have this energy for a black person doing this even though this is literally our culture and our shit please gtf
that crowd was dangerous cray
@@blackskinnedbaby2650 PREACH🙌🏿
@@blackskinnedbaby2650 Relax. Any culture of people that sees someone from a different race or culture learn their culture and be good at it is going to get a lot of attention. It's not that serious. As a black man I learned salsa and other Latin dances a few years ago. I was no where near the best but the Latin community was happy and proud and embraced me for doing something in this area where I live that other blacks don't do.
@@tutru03jones77 that’s stupid as hell you think that. Not only that that’s not even true💀💀 never would a black man get that much attention for doing something equally important in the white community. He’s literally getting this much attention because he’s white, he LITERALLY said that himself. If you don’t know what your talking about remain quiet lmfao
Don’t care what no one says as a person from the south where battle of the bands and band life is a thing I always come to see JUSTINE! Period! His color shouldn’t even be a conversation. He is talented, and devoted to his craft!!!
In the 90’s Dillard High in Ft Lauderdale, FL had a panthers-ette (drum major) white girl and NO BODY WAS coming for her. That girl stole the show everytime!!!!! Talent is talent. No one has duplicated her since.

The fact that the title is clickbait and people are literally coming for this young boy as if he asked to be the subject of the video. But I guess its ok to expose him to scrutiny for views and money. Showtime Web shame on y'all. Why not have highlighted all the drum majors? Yall knew exactly what yall you doing.
Not sure how this is clickbait or exploitation.
Did you talk to the young man? And why aren’t the others being exploited in your mind?
Why do you feel like Justin needs protecting. He exploited his his entire situation to become a UA-cam phenom.
@@AndyKapp he got popular off a video that went viral and now has a large following. So by putting his name in the title he knew not only his fans would come but ppl who are upset with him being a white boy "infiltrating" black culture. More clicks more views but by what means. Plus why they changed the title and remove the other vid if it wasn't. Trust me because even when he went viral in that video from high school while he got alot of support there were alot of people that were being negative and immediately turned it into a race thing.
@@explorationofbeauty6406 So a black videographer makes money exploiting a white kid.
And again I ask what’s your issue?
I mean is this your first time on UA-cam? That’s how this platform works.
And does the added exposure for ASU hurt or help the institution?
People getting mad about a white kid involving himself in our culture sounds similar to sentiments one might find at a Trump rally.
From what I understand Justin had go through an audition process in HS like everyone else and that include a scoring system. The highest mark is 80; Justin scored 78. Unless the fix was in (Justin bribed or blackmailed the panel - sarcasm I'm not saying he did) he won his spot.
@@AndyKapp bro just be quiet and take a seat some where like damn
I wondered how Justin's flair would fit the new squad, which seems much more regimented and the dance focused on the Stingettes. I'd love to see some of his high energy moves sprinkled in xx
I love the swag of drum majors.
I bet yall cant tell me the names of the other 3 drum majors tho
Not Justin's fault. He was popular and brings attention, so the channel used him for it. I would love to know everyone's name, but I can't find a list anywhere. I try to pick up the girl's names as well from videos because they aren't listed either.

Congrats from Montreal, Justin
Nice to know Justin tried out and got accepted as a DM. He seems to enjoy that activity since high school
Please quit hating on people because of race or anything else for that matter. If you want the world to change and all of the messed up attitudes that are in it, then just pointing the finger at someone else isn't going to do it. We have to start with ourselves. Yes, there is a thing as "white privilege". But this kid has worked extremely hard and he clearly has a respect for the tradition. Give him his roses and let him shine.
No, there really isn't "white privilege". Money is privilege, not race. The struggle in life has never discriminated. Maybe when you wake up and stop using that term we'll be closer. I've never got through my life or been granted favor because I'm white. I'd love to know where this mythical privilege is, because I see people all around me suffering. So cut that bullshit out, it does nothing to bring anybody together.
@@LucidDream Yes, there is white privilege. If you were in an all-white neighborhood and someone who lived there didn't recognize you, would you feel as though they might call the police on you? That happens to black people EVERYDAY. We are assumed to be up to no good so we must first prove that we are OK whereas you will likely never have to confront that phenomenon. And that privilege extends into other areas as well. I'd be more than glad to point them out if you wish.
I'm glad Justin went to the right marching band
My gosh it is the same hollering man again....can't watch this video anymore to stressful
Justin isn’t able to fully be the drum major we fell in love with when he was in high school. This style is cool, but it would have be NICE to see an extension of what he was in high school!
When and if he becomes head band major you will see an extension of his style. The head band major is the one who sets the tone.
