My dad was Vice Pres at Box Hill in the mid eighties and he'd take me to matches all around tge suburbs. It was eye opening by comparison to the VFL of the time. I loved the 'Stangers'. The Mustangs....tge VFA was good quality footy and as soon as tye VFL/AFL began pumping music and ads all through the breaks in play I immediately cast my mind back to the days when you could actually hear the person next to you and talk to them without the need to yell. Tye AFL has its corporate overlords to serve now so it's non stop ads and gambling ads and bs during the breaks in play. I love Aussie Rules but I bloody HATE THE AFL!!
Id forgotten what the old Channel O promos looked like, years ago their was an Arial segment posted by someone that showed the old studios, ;, loved it but cant find it again...thanks for sharing regards Doc
