Watching your video helped me so much with my cbt in November 2022. Now I got my mod 1 booked for next week. Your videos are always very detailed and helpful. Thanks for everything
Passed mod 1 with these videos and only been riding a few months. Incredible advice! Got my mod 2 booked so just gotta binge your MOD2 series now. Thanks so much
Doing my DAS, had a couple lessons on a big bike. Filled me with confidence, I was worried about the U turn, But I was told the test centre was larger. You saying that the space you had was not as big. Where I was doing a test it was 1/4 the size, instructor gave me praise but I wasn't happy.
Good stuff on part 1. That was how I was taught to do the manual handling. A lot better method than just reversing round from bay to bay, less chance of knocking a cone. Keep emphasising, check, check, lifesaver
Useful info. Spend hours watching videos especially on the U Turn. It’s a shame I never got to see yours in time for my mod 1 today. Glad to say I passed 😄. I was taught to relax, hold my nerve, take my time and don’t over think. Just got to pass the mod 2 now 🤞
@@MotoEcosse yea it’s the 29th of November. Less than 2 weeks away. You don’t have to wait long at this time of the year. Unlike the spring and summer. Fingers cross the Mod 2 goes well.
@@MotoEcosse To be honest I’m glad I’ve got this far considering I only got my CBT late August this year. At the moment I’m just doing last minute preparation for the Mod 2 hopping it will all go smooth on the day. I found your videos on the Mod 2 helpful as well. Wouldn’t it be a dream to ride my own bike and have the freedom. Will keep you updated if you like and let you know how it goes🤞
Unfortunately my instructors did not prepare me in enough detail like you did in this video and I failed my mod 1. To say I was devastated and confused was an understatement. I've rebooked my mod 1 in a couple of weeks and feeling much more prepared from your videos so a big thank you. Who needs an instructor these days when you can just self teach on UA-cam... what a waste of money
So after a tough week last week with COVID and isolating, I have been watching the MOD 1 videos and decided to just get stared so I'm all booked up for my DAS in May. I'll still be watching the videos and practicing on my 125 but can't wait now 😁
interesting about the size of the mod 1 test ground. My riding schools mod 1 training ground feels quite cramped. I have my mod 1 tomorrow so Im hoping the manoeuvres will be easier than the practice ground
thing Im worried about is the manual handling. Im not a big girl and any of the 32 stone going towards me is like trying to push a mountain. Definitely like working out - feel like it will just take practice :) thank you so much for your extremely helpful and calm videos ! x
@@MotoEcosse ah i’ll miss it probably as my mod 1 is 8:20 am but i’ll be leaving my home about 6:30am so i’ll wing it haha, had a mod 1 lesson the other day and cracked out plenty of good U turns so i’m hopeful i’ll pass
Hi ya, thank you so much for your videos!! I passed my CBT and I’ve been riding my 125 for a few months? I would love to do my full licence (I’m 45) so could do direct access? But I think I will fail on the manual handling! I can’t manhandle my bike when off of it!! Partly because I’m scared of dropping it and partly because of its weight… I’m 7.5 stone and 5.5 will I need to do the manual handling on a bigger bike if I eventually want to ride one? And can I do it sitting on the bike? Stupid questions I know but I’m new to this!! Thanks Tash
Looking forward to your u-turn vid.I got thro my mod1 but I struggled with it. When practising my instructor confused me; after each go it was always more throttle, a bit of back brake, clutch in, clutch out a bit!!!!! Didn’t know if I was coming or going. In my test it was more about just getting through it, in the end I coasted round!!!!!. I still go and practice it now to try and maintain and improve the skill. Don’t know if you’ve come across MotoJitsu, he does some good vids
Hopefully my U-turn vid will have some pointers that will help. Once you nail it the first time you'll be pulling U-turns like a pro. I know the name but haven't checked any of their content. I'll have to check them out. 🤜🤛
So on the slow ride behind the examiner no feet on the ground for balance of reassurance? I want to give my son some easy advice or a definitive no no, if that makes sense, thanks geezer
Would you be able to pass a mod 1 on an sv650s sports bike ? i have it booked for Monday and I'm now worried that's its going to be impossible to pass on a sports bike
Another good well explained vid. Much better than my instructor ever gave. Actually loved the learning process and going through the stages. So sponge every word in you can, take your time, enjoy and check check check. Ps red balls? Cold in the Stirling region eh? 😏
i start my training for my a2 license tomorrow and am a little nervous as I have never been on anything other than a 125 that I am very confident on but I'm just worried that the bigger bike is going to be harder to get used to, any tips?
You'll have a blast tomorrow. Honestly riding a bigger bike might seem a bit intimidating but I can genuinely say that they are much easier to ride. They're more planted and having the extra power makes getting up to speed limits etc a breeze. Obviously they're heavier but while riding them you don't notice the weight, it's only when you're doing the manual handling stuff you feel the weight but they're still easy enough to maneuver. 🤜🤛
Got my mod1 on Wednesday Slalom and Figure of 8 is my weakness! So I'm binge watching this and practicing in my partners 600RR. It's 5 days away but it's stressing me out.
Yeah they can be tricky while learning. Just remember to look between the cones for the slalom and look where you want the bike to go on the figure of 8. Nice smooth throttle and clutch control as well. All the best for it. 🤜🤛
