- We've all heard the theory: Gun owners must be overcompensating for something - or rather, their lack of "something." The bigger the gun or the more guns a guy has, the smaller his ---- must be, right? There's even a hypothesis called the “psychosexual theory of gun ownership”.
Well, a team of sociologists from The University of Texas at San Antonio, Texas A&M University, and Florida State University finally decided to put the theory to the test. I think it was Cooper who first remarked that if the “compensation” theory was true, no man would ever buy a 2 inch revolver (my most recent purchase was a 1.875” Model 638, before that a 4” MR73).

Perfect timing. I was just settling in with a freshly poured beer to watch the Gun Cranks when the door bell rang. It was the UPS guy with my latest ammo shipment. Now I don't have to sing the 32-20 Blues anymore. 4 inch barrel, but it is 32-20WCF. What do the scientists make of that?
Maybe an idea for a show topic. Gun related songs. 32-20 Blues. Bad, Bad Leroy brown got a 32 gun in his pocket.
They didn't address whether the length of your firearm barrel correlates in any way with the length of your personal "barrel."

Did the research paper show that gun size/number had an effect beyond age ? That is a caveat which will be brought up

I know a lot of women who love guns and shooting. The fact that I own guns increases...let's say...the circumstances...under which I get to use the appendage which is the subject of the study. Therefore, I have no reason to be dissatisfied with what I'm "packing", so to speak. Maybe anti-gun women are less likely to be attracted to the men who share their beliefs. Which is totally understandable, TBH.
