If Mathias Cronqvist (Dracula) never betrayed Leon Belmont by Orchestrating Leon into having slay his own wife... this wouldn't have happened.
I kind of wish the show at least hinted at that, because you then realize this shit kind of came full circle back to Dracula.

you can’t really compare them, (except for the fact one is the copy of another…) one is supposed to be purley emotion in a fight built up over 2 seasons ending with dracula accepting his death by his own damn son, IN HIS CHILDHOOD BEDROOM. while the other is just a crazy dude massacring his close to immortal son with a hint of comic relief.

Most people might be asking "How did the previous Belmonts defeat Dracula if he's this strong while suicidal?"
    They *didn't.*
If the timeline of the games is to be (loosely) followed, Trevor is the first Belmont to have fought Dracula. All the others fought vampires and monsters, yes, but not Dracula. Likely because he seemed to keep to himself and only killed intruders (admittedly plenty, going by the number of impaled corpses shown at the very start of the show), so they didn't see much of a need to go up against him. Even Leon, who (if this Dracula is Cronqvist) was there when Dracula came to be, *didn't* actually fight him. He fought his top lackey, Death.
All the Belmonts until Trevor either didn't *fight* Dracula, or didn't _win_ against him.

Except Lament of Innocence, but in that you just don't fight Dracula. Like, at all.
So basically, the games' timeline jumped around the place like the Zelda one does, except there were no alternate timeline on top of it. Just a miserable little pile of shitheads in charge of running it into the ground. Again, fucKonami.
